Thanks Elize, I really enjoyed it... and so did Jenny; even though neither of us can play piano. Like Robert Foy said something about, teaching old dogs new tricks. I am sure it is going to be a very popular part of your channel.
I love this idea! Too bad you were unable to synchronize the video with your audio. I know you are going to the very beginning and most basic things, but from personal experience, proper fingering is very important. I learned on my own, just playing, not practice or regard to proper fingering. This has caused me many problems that I have yet to resolve. First: I do not use my 3rd and 5th finger unless I absolutely must. The result is triggering notes by mistake (it also must be noted that my keyboards use synth action...no resistance from the keys). Also, these unused fingers become weaker than the others making it difficult to use them when needed. Second: I never learned how to properly play and practice scales. This has come back to haunt me and will anyone who wants to play keyboard instruments! Improper techniques severely limit speed and accuracy! It may be too late for me (old dog, new tricks), but I would love to see a video showing the proper fingering to play all the major scales up and down for both the right and left hand. I would certainly use that to try to correct some of my problems! Sorry for the long post, but I got excited when I saw This! 👍✌
Thank you Robert, yes absolutely, fingers are most important, I did put the finger numbers in the pdf download as best I could. I also did mention the finger numbers, seeing the hands though is actually very important, I will keep trying to sync the video and visual piano, not sure how I can do it with the system I am using. If you have any advise on it please, Id love to hear your input. This is not complete beginner as I did not do the theory of this either. I can do it for anyone that wants to start at the complete scratch.
I will definitely do scales and the fingers, even if it is just my hands on the piano without the physical second piano, I worked through a Hanon step by step for many years and it truly develops many fingers skills , but you must be persistent on a very regular basis in case you are interested here is the link. www.amazon.com/Hanon-Virtuoso-Exercises-Complete-Schirmers/dp/0793525446/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=hanon+for+piano&qid=1620309573&sr=8-1
@@ElizeLiebenbergpiano I do not know what you are working with, so it is hard to advise. I usually record all my video and audio separate. Then, I will use Hitfilm Express (free video editing software) and import both the video and audio. In the software it is quite easy to Sync them up!
Soothing speaking voice
Thank you Randon, that is very kind. 😀
Thank you Lady! I will try it on my keyboard soon!🌹
That would be awesome Miami, I would love to listen to you once you get started 👏👏🤗🌹🌹
