He wore the glasses out of necessity. He had glaucoma in both eyes . So of course, Elvis made them fashionable and iconic to this day

Elvis even wore glasses as a kid in school. He used them way before he had glaucoma. But as his glaucoma worse - he needed them more.

Elvis sings his heart out whether he's on stage, in studio, in concert or in his own private quarters, It is like Elvis sings to GOD each and every time. Just perfection in every way.

This was actually put together and filmed for Elvis On Tour, his last official movie. Otherwise, a normal session wouldn't be filmed. It was a concert/ tour documentary, and there's rehearsal, backstage, and personal footage put in the movie. This song was part of it. It's popularly known as the song Elvis sang for Priscilla because it was at this time they were separating and all that. It's never been really confirmed true, but it's a fun Elvis thing to debate about.

There’s some rehearsal tapes to watch that are so much funny. He’s relaxed and goofs around, yet gets the work done. If you’d be interested in it just send me a short comment back and I’ll get you the links. I just search Elvis rehearsals and a bunch will come on. He and Priscilla were going through a divorce and even in 1973 when he did the Hawaiian Satellite Concert, they were finalizing things. Hence I feel that You Have me a Mountain tells that story. Yes the glasses are cool, but he suffered from Glaucoma at a young age. He had to leave a recording session because of pain in his right eye. He went to the Hospital and they put a needle right into your eye. The person with him said he didn’t even flinch. I would have been blinking and dodge the needle. My goodness, he had good control. 😮😮😮❤❤❤

Hi. You are so lucky to have seen Elvis in concert. I was definitely born in the wrong era. I was 17 months old when Elvis passed.
As for Priscilla, there seems to be a misconception about their relationship. I am subscribed to Billy Smith's UA-cam channel (Elvis' Cousin), and he answers fan questions and tells stories about his life with Elvis.
One fan asked about Elvis and Priscilla, and if it's true that Elvis was heartbroken and if he wanted Priscilla back. Billy said that Elvis was not heartbroken, and moved on immediately after they separated. He also said that Elvis had absolutely no intentions of ever going back to her, and didn't want her back. In fact, Billy said he never wanted to marry her in the first place. He never wanted to marry at all.
He did love Priscilla, but he was by no means heartbroken over their failed marriage . This is a narrative she kept going after he passed. Billy was extremely close to Elvis and they spoke about everything, so I feel Billy knows the truth and has set the record straight.
Hope you have a great day further. 😊

Hi Courtney, thank you for sharing your comment on Elvis ,. So sorry that you were born in the wrong decade., That day is etched in my heart and soul forever, as a little girl growing up in a small town, I. Never thought my dream would come true , I know my exactly what I was wearing and the hour ride to Knoxville, I was always teased by my friends in elementary school about Elvis , they were into. Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy or Michael Jackson, no one could stop me from the love 💕 I have for Elvis , as far as Priscilla is concerned I respect your thoughts and I am just grateful that she dedicated herself to keeping the flame 🔥 alive for Lisa Marie and The fans around the world , so at this point in her life , l am praying for her and the girls of Lisa Marie , The day Lisa Marie left us Took me back to the day that I never wanted to go back to , Just so much pain for The family and me as well , I thank you and say God bless you wherever you are cause the world is in a very Bad place, I am feel for the children of tomorrow. @@lorisutton5267 Hi Lori
I can only imagine the pain you must have felt. Whenever I see footage of the fans outside Graceland the day Elvis left us, I sob my heart out.. Watching the footage from his funeral, I sob my heart out, and I wasn't even old enough to remember that day, so if I feel that pain now, I don't even want to know what it would have felt like in 1977, to actually be there to hear that dreadful news.
When you experience something that you have been waiting for, for so long, it's not surprising that you remember every detail. I love that you have that happy memory..
Kids can be so mean, but you stayed true to who you were and refused to stray from your love for Elvis, and that's a beautiful thing, because Elvis was worth every bit of love his fans gave him...he's still worth it. Always will be.
I was too young to remember, but I feel his loss too, and it's heartbreaking.
Don't get me wrong, I am grateful that Priscilla helped to keep Elvis' memory alive with the charity work etc, but I just don't like the way, especially in the recent years, she has used Elvis' name to keep herself relevant, and I don't even want to mention that film of hers.
The loss of Lisa Marie was a difficult one too. She was our only direct link to Elvis, and she was a beautiful, talented woman, and it's incredibly sad to have lost her too. My only comfort is knowing that she is with her dad.
I agree about today's world being so messed up. I often wish that the times could be like they were back in the 50's and 60's. I would love to have lived in those times. Things were so much simpler. Yes, there were problems, as there are problems during every decade, but in comparison, it was so much better back then.
Sending you best wishes from South Africa.

@@courtneynairn508Hi. Courtney across the world , it. Makes me smile when I see the Love Elvis Will Always get, and YES , that is the worst day of my life I had the feeling as a young girl that Elvis was forever and that he would always be the hero in the comic books like he always read and he is definitely the no Hero to so many people across the world it. Never ceases to amaze me how Elvis is always going to Shine like the Heavens above us , I will always be there for Elvis and his family , Courtney, I know that it's never too late to discover what a Beautiful MAN Among Men Elvis is forever and Always Thanks for your comment and you know that everyone needs to just live and let live without judgement like Elvis said when he sang the song Walk a Mile in my shoes , you never know what someone is going through, and that is the way Elvis lived his life, In closing, I think you will agree 💯 percent that Elvis is a Priceless Gift from God and. Just keeps on giving , I believe that he is looking down with the smile that only Elvis could have, TCB 1935

Elvis was going through his divorce from Priscilla and as we know she left him for her married Karate instructor. He was fighting some rough health problems, and he hated getting older. He though no one would remember him after he died. Elvis always sang with passion, and his eyes were failing from an inherited trait from his mom. He had early onset Glaucoma and in 1969 had emergency surgery on his right eye to save him from blindness. If you notice in his last couple of years he leaves the stage with Charley Hodge holding one arm and someone else holding his other arm leading him off the stage. He literally was blinded after an hour of stage lights shining on them. It is time that people see how sick Elvis was all his life in the book "Defined to Die Young" by Sally Hoedel, Elvis' heredity actually sealed his fate. His mothers parents were first cousins he was an Alpha 1. Thanks Pluto

One year after he was fired by Presley's father and two weeks before Elvis' death on Aug.

Priscilla left Elvis for her karate instructor, Mike Stone so no, I don't think the song was about Priscilla. Priscilla and Elvis were married for less than 5 years and most of those years, they weren't even in the same house as Elvis spent a lot of time in Hollywood for his movies and soundtrack recordings. Elvis initially filed for divorce in 1972; it took until 1973 for the divorce to become final. Elvis had a girlfriend, Linda Thompson who was living with him at the time. In fact, both couples - Priscilla & Mike Stone & Elvis & Linda Thompson attended the divorce hearing. Contrary to what a lot of articles that are put out, Priscilla has been Elvis's ex-wife since 1973; she is not his widow. Elvis loved singing ballads; according to Sam Phillips of Sun Records, Elvis always wanted to do ballads so "I'd have to give in and go along with it sometimes." When Elvis himself was asked about who his songs were about he responded: 'No one; I'm just singing songs that I know other people can relate to & give the words the interpretation and emotion that I think they're experiencing.'

This was being filmed for the documentary 'Elvis on Tour' so I don't think it's exactly how a studio session usually went. She already left to live with her boyfriend Mike Stone the married man with a pregnant wife and children in February. You can listen to the divorce legal papers including both their depositions on a channel called Presleymania. That wasn't her 1st affair either, she even had an affair when Lisa Marie was 6 weeks old with her dance instructor who happened to be actor Gregory Peck's son. Elvis knew this. Also, Willie Nelson is not the writer of this song so I don't know why he'd say that. He didn't even cover it until years after Elvis. You are right about the studio session though. It's a mock studio session for the documentary.

Not only the grammes but billboard also as they do not recognise Elvis number hits from 1956 to 1958 when billboard first came to the music industry.
