How to fix failed to play test tone windows 10

- A few days ago I updated the operating system of my computer. There is no output sound on the computer after the Windows update. I'm checking all the connections in my soundbox, And the connections are all right. I have done many methods to fix this problem. The last time I got a method, that fixes your Windows sound system.
Open any browser. Search by typing Windows 10 Sound Driver. The first row will show a download link, Realtek high definition audio driver. Click on this download link. This is Intel's official audio driver. Now download the audio driver. Now go to the download file. Now unzip the file. Install the audio driver. At the end of the installation, you need to restart your computer. This type of window will appear after restarting the computer. You need to restart your computer once again.
Hopefully, your problem will be solved after restart the computer 2 times.

I thought I was going crazy because I know my speakers work. But yeah I just did a fresh install of windows and this happened. Went to my motherboards website and installed the audio driver from there but it didnt work. Used your method of going to intel's site and followed this vid. WORKED! Thank you!

Thing is, there could be other reasons for this happening. Like one of my GPU display ports has this test error but the other 2 do not. When I remove the device from windows( not in audio game controllers) but in connected devces and reboot, it started to work.
1. This will not work if you do not have Realtek audio chipset
2. Certain drivers only work with specific audio chipset versions, ie, AC97, etc
3. Some Realtek drivers are tied to specific motherboard manufacturers
4. UAD drivers required by Windows since 2018 will override any legacy type driver installations during a windows update, so this issue will be perpetual if you don't use the proper UAD drivers for newer systems.
5. Certain audio consoles or interfaces will not work or download without the UAD driver install as it prompts WIndows to auto display the console app to install once it detects proper UAD driver and installation.

In my case, it was going well until the first restart.. After that my system restarted as normal.. There was no window for restarting again... What can I do now.. Could anyone help me..

Love this guy . I tried downloading acers audio drivers and what not . But downloading official intel drivers did it for me . Seriously windows 10 , very dick move / bug . Hats off to this guy . Worked after 8th aug or 9th aug 2022 windows 10 update .

I had to reinstall my windows cause no solution worked. I think my driver's were corrupted to a point where it's impossible to repair them.
After I installed this it says 'No audio output device is installed'
