i love watching them argue... its so productive... what a good example
the baggu discussion was literally the most relatable thing i've ever heard
I love the solo episodes. Your dynamic is really playful and sweet :)
I fucking love the “arguments” and I need more like this please 😅 I’m sick 😭 I know it. This is why I love reality tv too!!!
I just moved and, similarly to Jordan, was insane about wanting to not throw anything away: cannot recommend buy nothing facebook groups enough! your neighborhood probably has one and it’s such an easy way to give away items quickly to people who will use the items and often will pick it up themselves. I gave a bucket of cleaning supplies to someone twenty minutes after i posted in the group.
Good call!
Not sure if this will be helpful or not, but: most Goodwill orgs should only very rarely be throwing items away (they're donated in super bad condition with mold or other potentially hazardous damage, or other weird circumstances). Most GWs have a 5 week lifecycle of items in the store, then if they don't sell during that time they go to the outlet (some people call this 'the bins') to be sold by the pound. If they don't sell there, they're usually either sold wholesale or recycled some other way. Obv, it's a big brand and each region is a little different so sometimes there's a breakdown in the system, but that's how it *should* work! And goodwill is a nonprofit focused on job assistance and training as well as sustainability efforts.
That being said: doing anything besides just throwing them in the trash is already leagues better than what a lot of people do! And donating to a nonprofit whose mission is close to your heart is always the best way to go!
Disclaimer: I do work for a Goodwill org, but don't personally care where you go to repurpose your clothes!
This is all good to know. Thanks!!!
@@jordanmyr1ckyou're welcome! I'm always excited to hear people talking about sustainability in fashion.
I’ve been saying this forever! Why can’t I subdivide my money in my bank accounts?????
Right?!
As soon as kendahl said they were afraid of cockroachs I knew IMMEDIATELY what Jordan bought lol
I feel seen.
i looooove the bickering, i love bickering with my partner because its such little stuff and so funny to me
I was really scared of debt, really thrifty, really poor. My sister kept borrowing money from me, or someone needed something more than I did, or it would just get taken from me. I still don't value money like I probably should, because I know I can go without so much. But I'm still glad I was talked into getting financial aid for school and starting my own life away from family. I'm still in thousands of dollars of debt, but who the hell knows who owns it at this point, sometimes my wages get garnished but I'm doing gigs anyway.
And my dad is broke at retiring age, so I don't listen to him about money anymore.
You guys are the realest 😂
Y’all should try thredUP they send you huge bags with the shipping labels already on them. When they sell your clothes that they store in their warehouse, you get a percent of money back. Plus, whatever doesn’t meet their standards they donate to shelters.
This is cracking me up and I just love listening to the both of you
Do you guys have a list of ethical brands you like to buy from?
I relate so much to Kendahl in this episode 😭
I recently finished Bridgeton and really enjoyed it despite going into it thinking it’s just straight people shit. A lot of the patriarchal tension around romance between men and women still lingers today and I found it a lot more relatable than I expected as a sapphic person. Would love a lesbian season. I think it’s a setting that’s highly romanticised while still depicting bigotry in all forms as nothing more than a social construct to be overcome at all costs.
I feel you on not getting rid of stuff, i had brand new ink cartridges that don't fit in my new printer and i tried to ask the staples people if there was any way i could give them to someone because the plastic wasn't off of them, but since they're out of the cardboard box it had to be recycled. They do small battery recycling now.
It’s so real to say “well why not” bc I am also in a lot of debt and I will probably never retire lol
The cockroach dress print is terrifying pls
My husband had the same exact shopping problem because the thought was were already in debt oh well. But thanks to getting ADHD medicine the problem was solved. I think the impulse control symptom of adhd contributes to shopping and finance struggles. I am the Jordan my husband is definitely the Kendall. We balance each other out.
They could still cheat 😂😂😂
I'm really surprised that Jordan is onboard with returning clothing. It's so common for returns just to go straight to landfill.
The places I shop don’t do this and the places I’ve worked in retail don’t do this, but it would be super helpful if you know what stores do so people can avoid because I know some do!
@@jordanmyr1ck I appreciate your thoughtful consumerism!
Pleasssse drop the Poshmark link!
Heyyy
Married when I was 21 been married 20 years now, yes my husband and I share one bank account, I think it’s weird when couples have different accounts. However to each is own 🤷🏻♀️
1:00:48 and somehow the gayest thing in the whole podcast was you two saying I love you at the end.
