Thank you for sharing. As a mom also I know how hard it is when family members don't understand your health issues, and therefore do not know how to accommodate. ❤❤❤Sending you a big hug from the USA!
Thank you so much for your kind words 💜
Hi there! Your videos have kind of pushed me to try this medication. Just a little thing I want to ask, how much exactly has naltrexone done for your pain and fatigue?
I am new mom who has been suffering with fibromyalgia immediately after my c section delivery. It’s been a year now and somehow I feel that, the sooner i start some effective treatment the better would be the results.
It's hard to quantify as so much goes up and down with our health. Last year I had major surgery for hysterectomy and endometriosis excision so that cleared up an enormous source of pain but set me back overall for a while. Now my orthostatic intolerance/POTS is worse. It took about six months of slowly increasing dose to feel improvement. When I go off it my symptoms return and that's how I realise the difference most starkly - I'm much better on it. Keep an eye for my 7 year update coming soon. But if you do start do go slow on dosing an give it time. 💜
Have you explored rTMS for such chronic pain condition?
Melissa, I also have fibromyalgia and CFS/ME. Almost 5 years in, after getting sick postpartum. In addition to LDN, I have been treating with ahcc. It has made the biggest difference in the pain and fatigue. My symptoms were tested to be caused by relapsing tick fever and reactivating ebv due to a weak immune system (Neutropenia). Just sharing in case you haven't heard of ahcc. It breaks my heart to see other women living with these debilitating symptoms. May we both reach our health goals in 2024.
How much has this helped your pain and fatigue?
Thanks for your comment. I don't know what ahcc is! Glad it's helped you
Hi Melissa I'm sorry about what you're going through. It's just so very difficult to live with chronic illness, sometimes multiple illnesses. I'm in this journey with you. I've got Fibromyalgia, Hashimotos thyroiditis, chronic fatigue and my rheumatologist is having me do an MRI with contrast on my sacroiliac joint for Ankliosing Spondylitis bcuz I tested positive in my blood work. I totally understand the frustration, and disappointment that goes with this journey, the good days and bad days. I'm now a widow, and empty nester trying to figure out a business I could start bcuz I can't work a job outside of my home. It's very difficult but I wish you the best and will continue to keep track of your journey. Take care.
Thank you for sharing. It is so hard to work with variable symptoms! I'm lucky that I have a very flexible part time job that works around the kids! You take care too 💜
Thank you for sharing your experience. 😊 Do you know what to do about the stiffness in small joints (like fingers) in winters?
I just try to keep them warm. I have fingerless gloves (the fingers cut off just at top finger joints). I've also noticed that certain chemicals/foods make my finger joints stiff and sore so I avoid those - dairy, artificial sweeteners and msg. Hope that helps
Have you ever had an 8 am serum cortisol drawn to rule out Addison’s Disease ( adrenal failure )? A lot of your symptoms suggest that this needs to be ruled out .
The doctors here just won't - they do the standard blood tests and if it's in the middle of their normal zone then it's ruled out. I doubt they'd let me try that test.
Ah 14 is also when things started for. I’ve recently had my pain decrease getting off birthcontrol but there’s no clear answer as to why. I hope they gain more interest in the near future so we can all get better
Hormones seem to have something to do with fibromyalgia as it often triggers during puberty, pregnancy and menopause. I felt better when I went off birth control, but unfortunately it trigger the endometriosis to grow. Being pregnant and delivering a baby every two years (four times) covered the growth but by the time I was done the endo was bad.
I too hope they can find some decent answers for us!
@@MelissavsFibromyalgia I have to suspect so as well after seeing some stories as well as a few studies were people receiving various kinds of hormone replacement therapy had the condition tempered, worsened or even triggered.
