I only started playing this game six months after it was released and haven't spent any money on it so I don't have nearly the breadth or strength of weapons that you do but your guides have been really useful in figuring out how to build a team and I've just managed to beat the story version of Dyne with this info. Many thanks for sharing your expertise!
NOTE: I forgot to mention in the video but you could use Bio materia to poison Dyne. It may be a bit risky, so be careful not to poison him near the end of the battle, so he won't die to the poison before you can finish him off with Barret's Limit Break to avoid Dyne's Final Attack. Successfully applying poison is also very unreliable - you could get lucky and apply it immediately or spend half of the battle trying to apply. When I was personally testing it, it took me about 20 casts to for the poison to be finally applied and I was halfway through the battle. If you don't kill Dyne with Limit Break, immediately switch to Defensive Stance before he can activate his Final Attack.
Agree. They seem really great so far. I admit I wish Seph's new lb would require something else than him being buffed, but since mdef/pdef buff works with it, I just need to accept it. Hope we'll get lvl75 cap increase next week, so we can upgrade those new lbs to lvl2 already.
Congrats! And wow. I find landing poison and multiple times most impressive. I tried poison here on Dyne and other time on Ifrit and spent half of the battle trying to apply it only once, so I just gave up. I may be just unlucky with the rng but it seems so unreliable that I just can't.
Yes, poison drops the target to 1hp and it's both for the boss and our characters. It's still risky on Dyne because Barret's normal attack will kill him if his HP is so low - his regular attack even we are not using any ATB.

Thanks, I got poison to land 3x, and just beat him with an ob4 HH and Satellite just at the end.
