Like you I'm an old soul. I genuinely believed that women appreciated a gentleman but eventually learned the truth. Yes, some do, but many see it as a form of weakness if you take it too far.
The boundaries you set for yourself should be focused on things like being able to recognize when a woman is playing games and 💩 testing you. Being willing and able to walk away from those types of women is key and a great place to start.
