  • Thousands of technology students come out of university not knowing what to do or not having practical skills for the rapidly evolving technology industry.
    Sharing his personal story, Mr. Opio explains the important role innovation hubs are playing in fostering the technology ecosystem. Helping young developers find and get ready for opportunities.
    Mr. Solomon Opio is the Technology Community Manager at the Innovation Village Uganda. He has also worked for Outbox Hub, in charge of training and other activities geared towards growth, skill development for the developer community, start-ups and industry players. He is the Google Cloud Developer Community Lead for Kampala, running programs, trainings, events and initiatives around Google Cloud technologies.     Interesting insight! The impact of innovation hubs is evident in Uganda today and IUEA also gives students opportunities to hone their technology skills during their time at university.

    universities have failed especially in africa i speak as a student in kenyatta university in kenya...innovation hubs and internet is the way to go
