Since skydivers got the bright idea of strapping cameras to their helmets back in the 70's the need for a way to make sure those pictures or videos were in frame and focus was paramount.
Enter the Ringsight... A little lollipop shaped crosshair thingy, that not only makes you look like you know what you are doing but also helps the videographer keep his or her eye on the money shot.
