Rodgers does this every year. If the young receivers improve (which they usually do), he can claim his leadership led to those improvements. If they underperform, oh well, it isn't HIS fault. He did his best to lead them.
People are so used to QBs saying the "proper" answers to the media which are actually answers without actually giving answers. When Rodgers tells the truth respectfully, the media just slams him for it and assumes he didn't tell the players that before telling the media without any proof.

Putting aside this particular issue, what evidence do we have that Rogers is careful when he speaks? His mouth has gotten him into trouble a few times in recent memory.

Yes, a story arc is a term for various mediums of telling fictional stories or narrative nonfiction, such as football stories throughout the year, as well. Any good high school English teacher, and many middle school ELA teachers, teach ideas related to this concept. It’s not specific to Hollywood or script writing.
If you have heard a QB publicly talk about how poorly their receivers are playing, that team was imploding or their QB was a bad leader. It’s that simple. Him doing it to kids straight out of college is even worse.
@@rickyrobby8133 These are grown men that are being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to run the correct routes, and catch the ball. It's not high school. Did I miss something? What did Aaron say that was so wrong?? Sounds like Aaron is holding the WRs accountable....he isn't tolerating the nonsense and lack of focus in training camp. Good for him
Truth is if you hate Rodgers you hate that he said something but would also hate if he didn’t say anything. No matter what he does certain talking heads hate.
Listening to Rodgers and then thinking about how Brady handles his teammates there's quite a contrast. Aaron thinks he's a leader but he's just a bully. And of course he doesn't feel any pressure. His money is guaranteed. And NOBODY points the finger at others better than Rodgers.
The best thing is Rich Eisen is usually wrong about everything. This is the pre season and these things like dropped passes are going to happen with rookies. Watch the first game, then watch the eighth game. It will be like watching two different teams. Lets hope the defense keeps them in the running till that eighth game. And yes RE will continue to be wrong.
The media feels the need to fluff up stories regarding Rodgers and the Packers. Rodgers loves to light the candle and he realizes that he can in this stage of his career. It is the media's need for a story and Rodgers subconscious need to control the narrative. It's all a game and fun... I enjoy it, but I don't take either very seriously. 39 wins in the last 3 seasons speaks loudly for itself. The Packers are doing something right. Rodgers is playing in rare form late in his career. Green Bay has all the pieces of the puzzle - maybe this is the season that they rise to the expectations given to them the last 3 years... that's why they play the games. I guess we'll see.
Aaron Rodgers provided himself the best NFL/football education that was possible. The downside for him is he is consistently surrounded by average NFL football players. He is a surefire, first round, HOFer and he demands that his WRs are similar players. The issue is, most of his cohorts are never going to be HOFers. The reason Brady is a better player than Rodgers is one simple reason. Brady is willing to be coached and Rodgers is the coach. Brady continues to be a man of the people and Rodgers is the smartest man in the room. It makes a difference when it comes to plays when it matters, each and every game, in the regular, and post season.
i'll be worried about the 2x MVP who hasn't lost a game w/out Adams in what 2 years? in January. Play defense with that I feel very underrated one this season and do your job WR. Run the ball don't get hurt I see them NFC North champs, maybe not homefield but might be ok after the last 2.

*NEWS FLASH AARON RODGERS HATES ROOKIES*
Yea Skip and Shannon sound like a couple of doorknobs next to Eisen. Great take.
A nice move early like this hold them accountable let them know he's the big dog and get them ready
i think this is what a great leader does. rodgers needs to push for this kids to perform!
Exactly Michael Jordan did it Tom Brady did it and the late great Kobe Bryant did it I don't see what's the big deal
I love how quickly he went from "I'll decide" to "whoever the coaches feels are ready". Hahaha
Which just means to say that those 2 things are usually the same thing. Hes talking to the coaches, the coaches are talking to him, they want him to feel comfortable. Hes the 4x MVP. Why is this a thing? Hes the LeBron of the NFL. Yes... hes calling a lot of shots. I dont get why thats even controversial to own that and operate accordingly.
There’s no time to waste. It’s time to step the F up and earn that bread.
This has been so blown out of proportion lol. He’s not saying anything that isn’t already obvious but I guess it’s a slow news cycle so gotta get those clicks
Classic Rich just loving to hear his own voice with sidekicks that repeat what he says
Shouldn't be a slow cycle. There's a lot to talk about in pre season. It's just Aaron Rodgers is a lightning rod and generates easy clicks.
I also saw an ESPN article with the same headline. Cringe AF
@@mileshigh47 so many examples of poor journalism coming from ESPN and guys like Rich. They love taking context and just burying it up there assholes
I think this is the 1st time I have AR12 speaking like this. Love it. That's the way to go.
Anything Aaron Rodgers says until he retires will be overanalyzed and painted in a negative light. It’s good business but not good-faith reporting.
100%
Pretty much
Whatever. Rodgers is painted in a negative light for good reason. He’s consistently a poor narcissistic leader who’s overly sensitive about near everything. UNLIKE every other QB. This example is him prepping the scapegoat. Same ole Aaron
@@nnjjee1 as if there aren't any young diva QBs in the league
@@nnjjee1 Honestly not a thing oddly enough. But you know it's real weird listening to "Aarons a bad leader' from -2- former players while more than 5 say nothign of the sort.
Yeah there is a reason Brady throws with everybody all the time. It looks different for anybody throwing a ball. So it’s kinda aaron’s fault that he’s having problems with the young receivers. Put in the work. Don’t just expect it.
Man...Brady's KNOWN MO is to freeze out young receivers and even play favsies!
@@kernalbert4939 no.
Well...Brady is currently throwing with NO ONE right now, so that was an incredibly poorly-timed example. 😅😂🤣
Putting aside this particular issue, what evidence do we have that Rogers is careful when he speaks? His mouth has gotten him into trouble a few times in recent memory.
Yep.
But what trouble has it gotten him into? Name ONE tangible negative for him that his mouth has earned? What? Public judgement? He clearly gives zero shits about that.
People judging him from what he says doesn't equate to him getting into trouble lmao. What trouble did he get in?
I think he meant with respect to football, teammates, etc., not what drugs he may have done or whatever.
To be fair the media often twists his words and you have clowns like Cowherd making stuff up
So.... If a player drops the ball, he won't play???? WOW. That Hippy is smart.
Brady, Manning, all the Elites have done this even in games. Maybe actually learn more might help...
Oh it's stories like this that let me get to see who are rational, logical people ... and those that are closet Emos that want to be emotional about the dumbest things.
And the Double Standards are thick in this comment section. *THICK*
All i see is you being emotional bud.
@@BRAVITS What...? Try better with the trolling
Isn’t what Rodgers said a good thing?
Actually listening to his press conference changes my opinion. Clear message, catch the ball. This is being blown out of proportion and that’s exactly what I think Rodgers wanted.
I just want to say that Rich comes off as such a nice, genuine guy.
My mom went to a dinner party once and he was there, she said the exact same thing
😆
Yes, a story arc is a term for various mediums of telling fictional stories or narrative nonfiction, such as football stories throughout the year, as well. Any good high school English teacher, and many middle school ELA teachers, teach ideas related to this concept. It’s not specific to Hollywood or script writing.
After choking four consecutive championship games , Maybe the team should call out Rogers to get him to perform better.
He should talk to the young guys, not the reporters.
Why not cover the Talib story!
I could be wrong, but DA wasn't with Aaron when he won his Superbowl right ?
I think it was a plan to calm expectations of these young WR. Benn all praise for Doubs. bring everyones expectations to reality.
Aaron didn’t say anything that every team doesn’t do and that every fan doesn’t know; the best players/performers will start.
Psychedelic A-A-Ron looks Enlightened!
Just go ahead and throw them under the bus already. He could have talked to his young receivers privately not to the media.
I don’t think he said anything wrong. Wasn’t disrespectful, just honest answers about the facts. No big deal.
Rams fan Curt in the Philippines.
You think Cupp is better than Isaac Bruce?
I guess that tea wore off 😆 🤣
I've heard plenty of quarterbacks express this sentiment. Hell, I've heard Aaron Rodgers say this before. What's the controversy?
Nice try
If you have heard a QB publicly talk about how poorly their receivers are playing, that team was imploding or their QB was a bad leader. It’s that simple.
Him doing it to kids straight out of college is even worse.
@@rickyrobby8133 These are MEN, not boys. Also, it's training camp. He's never done this in the regular season.
@@rickyrobby8133Why wouldn't he be honest about it when the topic came up? And he didn't even say they were bad all around.
@@rickyrobby8133 These are grown men that are being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to run the correct routes, and catch the ball. It's not high school. Time for these guys to step up and earn the money they're being paid. They should be able to handle being called out when they aren't getting it done.
Did I miss something? What did Aaron say that was so wrong?? Sounds like Aaron is holding the WRs accountable....he isn't tolerating the nonsense and lack of focus in training camp. Good for him
A professional asking other professionals to step up and do their job. Wow imagine the backlash
Truth is if you hate Rodgers you hate that he said something but would also hate if he didn’t say anything. No matter what he does certain talking heads hate.
Doubs and Toure all day! Watson has a rep for drops. Bet he heard it from Rodgers.
no story here everything he said is 100% correct
Listening to Rodgers and then thinking about how Brady handles his teammates there's quite a contrast. Aaron thinks he's a leader but he's just a bully. And of course he doesn't feel any pressure. His money is guaranteed. And NOBODY points the finger at others better than Rodgers.
I think Doubs boutta blow UP!!!
Best regular season QB ever.
Calm down Skip lol
His eyes show how serious he is. Not a fan of the dude, but that was serious talk
Rodgers has pushed so many people to elite status. I have total faith in the packers. What an exciting season to watch the packers.
Aaron shouldn't be blaming ANYONE BUT HIMSELF...HE CHOSE NOT TO SHOW UP TILL TRAINING CAMP...HE DROPPED THE BALL...
Doubs has 12 targets and 6 drops, that's a 50% drop rate🤔🤷♂️
Watson #9 will be a nice and needed WR for preseason week 3
The best thing is Rich Eisen is usually wrong about everything. This is the pre season and these things like dropped passes are going to happen with rookies. Watch the first game, then watch the eighth game. It will be like watching two different teams. Lets hope the defense keeps them in the running till that eighth game. And yes RE will continue to be wrong.
Rich, still think he's not under any pressure? Seems to be feeling it
The media feels the need to fluff up stories regarding Rodgers and the Packers.

He’s right though
He did this after Nelson left too
“Went Off” 😂
i'll be worried about the 2x MVP who hasn't lost a game w/out Adams in what 2 years? in January. Play defense with that I feel very underrated one this season and do your job WR. Run the ball don't get hurt I see them NFC North champs, maybe not homefield but might be ok after the last 2.
The Packers will look great in 2nd place.
