Great crashes, guys! Fun to watch. One of the best things I've been able to do for my kid's progression on the bike is to just get them comfortable with the concept of crashing. It sucks, but it is part of growing and pushing the limits as a rider. Now, they are scaring the shit out of me sometimes! Lol.
Back when I had BMX, I tried testing my trials skills, and hopping off a 7ft fall to flat surface. Unfortunately, whilst balancing on the back wheel, I applied pressure on the cranks to hop off the wall, snapping the chain..which led to me flinging forward, landing head first into the concrete surface..the next thing I knew I was being dragged by my friends to their house
I've been watching you guys nearly from when i start ridings MTB so maybe 8 months by now, Neil been so unlucky with his crashes but as u said, he is just going for it. Respect for this, keep it going guys u doing great job. I'm really enjoying watching your videos guys.
I had a bit of a crash a while back and I'm very pleased there is no footage of it. On August 14th last year I was riding alone, yeah, I know, and somehow went off the edge of a narrow trail on the side of a hill. According to the firemen who found me I fell around 100 feet, which is why I'm pleased there is no footage of it. I was airlifted out and taken to a hospital in Mainz (pretty appropriate eh?) where I was operated on 3 times. I broke my T11 and 12 vertebrae and completely smashed my C6. This has been replaced by a titanium tube and the C3, 4, 5, 7 and T1 are now all joined together by rods. My T10, 11, 12 & L1 are also joined by rods. There are 4 rods and 18 screws holding everything together now. I came home on the 15th January having spent 4.5 months in a rehab clinic. I'm obviously amazingly lucky to have survived a fall like that at all but I'm also able to move my legs and can walk with help. I'm training hard and hope to one day get back on my bike. It's going to be a while before there's any chance of that as my hands are a long way from fully recovered, I'm still unable to straighten my fingers so grabbing a brake lever is not possible. Things are improving though, slowly but surely. If I ever get back on a bike I'll be sure to let you know. Fingers crossed.
I'm glad no one was hurt in the vids! I feel much better knowing I'm not the only one crashing. I'm still at least 1, sometimes 2 a day on my local trail. I just OTB and landed on my feet but knocked my axle multi-tool out. I realized after I got to the car and went back. I think someone took it. I went OTB there before but put it back in. Super bummed but at least I didn't get hurt.

I had a really bad crash on this Monday night (April 6). I was descending down the road and my thoughts took control over me. I just started thinking abt my problems and other stuff. When I realized myself going straight to the road boarder, it was too late. I crashed into the border at speed of 60-70 km/h. I flew out of the road and hit the ground by my right side (at first head, then shoulder and then hands ...) Good that I have expensive helmet (Met Roam Mips) with Mips system, MRI shows that I didn't get concussion, but head is still aching and I've got some memory problems, hope that they'll disappear soon. I was really sceptical abt Mips system, but now I think it saved me. I guess its obvious that if I didn't wear helmet, u would never read this story. Guys, always wear your helmet. It's really important!
Best part of that video is when you’re rolling down that ramp at Whistler Martin, and that old dear in a wheel chair bottom left is clapping you off 🤘😁 awesome.
