When I'm in Krakow, I always eat at Kuchnia u Doroty (Dorothy's Kitchen). Their food is delicious and cheap, and the service is great. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Krakow.

Thanks for a nicely put together overview :) Krakow's not really that empty :D - before the pandemic the tourist count was taking it near the levels of Florence and Prague (to both of which it was often compared in the past ages), so some 14 million visitors annually (both Polish and international) and is closing upon those numbers again in 2023 (Paris for comparison counts at around 40 million). But what you mean is perhaps that Krakow is not really that present on the "mental map" of the typical visitor to Europe. The Royal City, The City of Dragon, the city with the biggest number of synagogues in Europe... the old capital of Poland slowly builds its brand internationally (I bet it would already be much higher, if not for the fact that Poland as a country did not exist at the moment when the first mental maps of tourism formed, namely the 19th century). Safe travels!
good expanation; you found the right words but really, "underrated City...", this guy is 20 years too late... Now, Krakow will face the same problems as other overcrowded cities, like Venezia, Amsterdam, Barcelona and many others
I am not sure what time of year or what year you came here, but normally it is absolutely packed with tourists except for the wintertime. Even still, there is a good number of tourists. I have lived in beautiful Kraków for 10 1/2 years.
This was late September - early October, 2023.
And it's not like there were no tourists (especially around the very popular areas). But compared to other major cities in Europe, it was really bearable - in my opinion. Maybe we had a lucky week too - loved our stay here!
Underrated city? if is the cliché and stereotype of european touristy city. You have to avoid continuosly flocks of british, spanish, italians and germans tourists in most of the city. It could be underrated 20 years ago but now.....??
🙂🙂you're right, and as I told in a coment above, this guy is discovering that Poland also exists in the map and just repeats without any reflexion what still many people say about Poland...underrated !!!!...now, the problem for Krakow is rather that it will face the same problem as overcrowded cities, like Venezia, Florence, Amsterdam and many other ones

What are you talking about? Kraków population is 766,683 people. Tons of people there.
Yes. I am not talking about the population size in this video. Merely that, foreign tourists traveling in Europe generally choose to go the well known cities - where I think Kraków should be on the top of people’s list 🙏 thanks for watching.
Poland has many beautiful places and cities, towns and villages. You can add other Polish cities to your list too, as they are all beautiful. I suggest seeing Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia (our tri-city), Zakopane (the capital of the Polish mountains), Wrocław, Poznań (It’s better to go there next year - huge renovation works are currently underway in Poznań throughout the city), Lublin, Łodź, Rzeszów, Kielce, Toruń, Bydgoszcz, Katowice, Białystok, Szczecin, Przemyśl, Zamość, Zielona Góa, Jelenia Góra, Świdnica, Kazimierz Dolny nad Wisłą, Olsztyn (the capital of our Lake district), Przemyśl, Sanok, Łańcut, Sandomierz, Leżajsk, Stary Sącz, Kłodzko, Międzygórze w Sudetach (called a small Switzerland in Poland in Sudets) etc. We also have many beautiful natural areas: the Słowiński National Park with moving dunes in Łeba, the Białowieża National Park with European bisons, and the Bieszczady Mountains.
You need to change your title. Krakow is one of the best spots in Europe.
I agree - which is why I think the title is fine. Krakow is amazing but (compared to other major cities in Europe) there aren't that many international tourists.
