A classy report. Hello from New Zealand. I have waited three months for my black African Twin 2019 model, it arrived last week with the frame stamped as having come off the production line in August, (last month) just as the the 2020 models are released world wide. Having said that us Australians and New Zealanders probably won't see one in the country for six months if we're lucky. Sounds like BMW 1200 might have some competition. I guess we will just have to wait and see....
I own the 2018 Atas, love its simplicity. I regularly take it off road 'proper' and it is superb. Of course blogs and YT posts demanded more of this and more of that. So here we have it, a Honda GS. New cool perks but I like the bad ass feel of less electronicised models and think I will pass for more expensive from the onset and heavier gadgetry. Yes, they are having a smart go at the market, but can we ask that Honda leaves more rustic models on the ADV market for dudes like me.
Honda are doing all the right things - they are listening to their customers. When was the last time you heard of an other manufacturer upping power and downing overall weight. I just hope their added electronics are reliable and consistent. Unless BMW do something radical in the GS bike range Honda are now going to give them a real challenge. Just because you ride a BMW GS please no longer think you posses the ultimate machine that others aspire to have. I hope my test ride lives up to these words!
I'm a GS rider and think now, this is a very tempting machine. Doesn't bother me having 160PS I just like to cruise. What I'm interested in is the price
Adventure Sports just about perfect - huge improvements with lower seat, cruise control, and adjustable windscreen. Now waiting for U.S. prices - under $16k???
Canadian website already shows the Adventure Sport at 20K for the standard, 21k for DCT, so knowing how they price our bikes in relation to the US market, I would guess you'd be right around that 16k mark.
The active suspension sounds great as long as everything’s working perfectly but I wouldn’t wast to troubleshoot/fix a failed sensor, seal, air line etc 10 years down the road
I had a GSA for quite a while and sold recently to buy a new LC GSA. If this bike had been around six months ago, I would have given it SERIOUS consideration. This looks like a great machine. Awesome looking motorcycle . More bells and whistles than you can ask for . It'd be nice if they came out with a Jr. version let's say around 700ish cc's and maybe a Mini version around 500ish cc's . What sweet bike , Honda has certainly put a lot of smiles on people's faces with these winners .

Add in the touring tank and proper, adjustable windscreen and you’re getting what you need for long tours. I imagine it’s more a case of Honda “upsell” though, they know the cheapest AT needs thousands thrown at it to make it more than a 1-up pretentious Starbucks machine. Anyone wanna buy a bmw gsa
Its morphed into a road bike, too complicated for the bush.
Buy buy buy
Apple car play 🤣🤦♂️
ikr XD;
Jup defenently an african twin is my dream bike
Such a shame this bike has a chain ! Please start using shaft drives on these, Honda.
That I think👎🏻🙈
hardly anyone rides these bikes offroad
I bought my 16 new at launch. Had visions of crossing vast stretches of wilderness on it. Now that a few years have passed 95% of my miles are Highway. Sure they're off-road capable but too heavy and expensive to thrash around too much. That's what my XR is for.
Ride mine off road all the time and its very capable! Not a dirt bike but if I could only own one bike, this would be it. I’ve put 30K on my 2016 and have loved every mile! Your missing out if you are not playing in the dirt on your AT!
This is a man's world, this is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a Honda or an Africa Twin
You see, others made the cars to take us over the road
Others made the trains to carry heavy loads
Others made electric light to take us out of the dark
Others made the boat for the water, like Noah made the ark
This is a man's, a man's, a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a Honda or an Africa Twin
Others thinks about GS`S,Tigers and YAMAHAS
Honda makes then happy 'cause Honda makes them AFRICA TWINS
And after man has made everything, everything he can
You know that Honda makes Africas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without an AFRICA TWIN!!!!!!!!!!
He's lost in the world of HONDAS!!!!!!!
😂
More to go wrong
The music in this video makes me want to give Donald Trump an uppercut to the chin, what is it?
