What about when none of them are doing the clicking noise?
Thank you for this! I have searched all over looking for help with this issue. I can't Believe this is the first and only place I have seen this tip.
Welcome
Solid info here, never would have thought to check for a clicking noise! Thanks for sharing
Did this on my ol’ 7.3 years ago, lucky only had to replace one and then the system worked great.
Very cool! Now we know! Glad you clarified that Paul wasn’t making all that racket 🤣 I was fixin to yell at him 🤣🤣🤣
I'm headed outside to try it right now. Thanks for the easy diagnostic info!
Good luck!
what happens when none of them tick
Sweet 1976 dealer plate!!. I remember those when i was a teenager. West side native living in South Carolina.
Wooooowooooo
This is extremely valuable information!!! Thank you
Oh cool easy check. Well tomorrow going to try this on my rig. Thanks PTT
Wow, that is really cool to know... Thanks brother....
I find it humorous that I had to see an ad for the Chevy Silverado before watching this video🤣
Cmon, really??
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod No chit!
@@JmF250 Great marketing. It was the perfect time for them to do it. -If you're having trouble with a Ford.......look here.
Just had a sensor issue with my 2017, said park aid was not working and to inspect it.
Tried listening and couldn't tell which it was, parts desk at the dealership said they have a lot of issues with water and corrosion, advised ordering a couple pigtail plugs and checking the rear harness.
I unplugged each sensor and every plug back there looking for corrosion and couldn't find anything.
Checked with my auto agent if there were any codes, it actually pulled a code that said there was an issue with the rear right outer sensor.
Unplugged it again and pulled it out to check it closer. The face of the sensor had a small crack and when it was wet outside it was allowing water inside.
Actually has a code telling me the front right fog light keeps shorting as well.
Great info brother, thanks for spreading the knowledge. Hope it's a while before I need it though.
😉
Rich did a really solid video on this too!
Well.....that is some EXCELLENT info!!! You learn something new everyday. And those sensors are pretty pricey if I'm not mistaken.
Very!!$$$
Cool 😎... tik tik Good...NO tik tik Bad got it 👌👍 have a good weekend👍💪💯
Arod was tapping on his phone, Lol. Just Funning Bro, Great video as usual!
I had a "dead" sensor and had a friend plug in the OBD to find witch one, --Left inner-- cool!! I got the part later, Forgot witch was the bad one!!!
Engine off, park break on, Ignition on , put in reverse. I put my ear near the sensors and yes I could hear the very faint clicking AND when I -very gently -- touched the sensor I could feel the pulses.
Very interesting tidbit of information 👍👍
Seeeee
I'm not getting any clicking notifications on any sensors
Happy Friday love muffin!!!!
Hey there budddddddd
The phone picked it up if the beginning of the video lol
I do not have a sensor issue, I have a camera issue, sometimes in reverse the screen is black, very random when it happens.
Hmmm
THANKS AROD !!
no I have not had to replace any sensors But I kept having one going off as a solid tone even when I was n't close to anything thought it was " ice" on the sensor but it wasn't kept cleaning it off and it would still do it Finally it stopped doing it Still Don't know the Cause???
Good luck
Ok man, I've got a strange one for you.. I'm wondering if you've ever heard anything like this before:
Tonight I was driving my 2012 super duty home from the shop. About halfway home it came up and said cleaning exhaust filter, and went into regeneration obviously completely normal it does this every couple weeks. I was just moseying along doing about 35 miles an hour and I let off the throttle to go around a corner. When I got back on the throttle all of a sudden there was an extremely loud bang that came from under the truck on the right hand side which I am almost certain came from the exhaust. It even had that explosion inside of a pipe sound to it. I felt it in my boots and in the floor of the truck. It was almost like a loud backfire or explosion inside the exhaust pipe or DPF itself. When I got home I went through that truck with a fine tooth comb. I looked at all the CAC tubing, the turbocharger, all of the exhaust flanges, the driveshaft, I even inspected the tires and the frame, the rocker panels, everything to make sure maybe a rock or something didn't get kicked up. I am certain it was a loud backfire type noise from the particulate filter.. Have you ever heard of anything like this? I have never experienced this with any of the heavy equipment or semi trucks. I am a heavy equipment mechanic by trade I work on tractor trailers and heavy equipment for a living, and a lot of them have DPF systems . I have a pretty good understanding of these systems and how they work but for the life of me I don't see anything wrong with my truck. It still runs totally fine the boost gauge behaves normally there are no other symptoms whatsoever. All I can figure is maybe exhaust gases built up and ignited once the particulate filter got hot enough? The only other thing I can contribute here is unfortunately this truck was overfilled on oil by about 2 quarts. Someone else put oil in the truck for me. I did however catch on and I drained it out but it probably ran three or four days with that extra oil in there. I thought maybe some of it ended up in the intake, got burnt and sent through the DPF, but I'm not sure what that would matter anyway. Sorry for the long comment but I thought you might find this one interesting or maybe you've heard of it before!
That was just your truck telling you to remove the DPF...
Wow! I have never had that complaint. Inwlda said ur cold side CAC duct blew off
PTT.....did you ever do a drain and fill on the 10R140? You said you would, but I don't see it
Notchet
I have the problem when in freezing temperatures, my left rear immediately goes to red. Normal temps, works fine!
Highly suspicious
With oil shortages I'm looking into different brands of oil. I am a diehard T6 and Motorcraft user but these are in short supply in my area and currently Amazon has T6 at $57 per gallon. I've stumbled upon
Triax Fleet Supreme ESP 15W-40 API CK-4 Full Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil, Friction Optimized and Boosted with Molybdenum and Nano-Boron, Superb Powerstroke Performance (4 Gallon Pack)Triax Fleet Supreme ESP 15W-40 API CK-4 Full Synthetic. It surpasses the Ford spec. Has anyone tried it? I can get 5 gallons shipped to my door for $115. A buddy of mine at work runs it in his 18. He swears by it. Any help would be appreciated. Triax on its website has very positive reviews for the powerstroke
Never seen it
Great information ARod thanks
Does this also work for BLIS in the tail lights?
Um no sir
Hey so all of my sensors are clicking but my screen still says park aid fault. Now what?
What's up arod..jl Connolly excavation...got a few 6.4 questions you mind if I shoot you an email..quickly does a po88 always mean a bad hpfp or Is it hit or miss on that can you sometimes get away with a po88 without hpfp replacement...thank you always
Reprogram or HPFP
Does the system stop working even if only one sensor goes out?
Yes some do
Weird that I'm seeing this. My 22 has randomly been telling me: rear park aid N/av. sens. BL. See manual
Yea, not the sane thing
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod Gotcha!
