Gralloch ,the disembowelment of a deer. This is usually expertly done by the stalker, all the digestive tract is removed, food sack, small and large intestines and lower bowels to the colon, but the pluck is left in place (heart, lungs, liver & kidneys ). Its quite fragrant to say the least so depending on what the animals been eating, so some of the earthy ,tangy, floral, herby,or sour sweet notes my well evoke memories of fresh gralloch.
Just checked some prices' well as they say on Dragons den " I'm out "but fair play girls hope you enjoyed. The Ledaig 12 Golden cask house of macduff at 59% is mad as a box of frogs and is in my price range 🙂
Nice review ladies. They are quite pricey but having purchased a number of the least expensive whiskysponge and Decadent drinks bottles, I am very pleased with what I got. Well worth the punt in my few. You have definitely made the tasting descriptor of “Jobby” your very own. Gonna go pour a whiskysponge Ledaig right now! Cheers..
@@TheGrailTastings I think Whisky Sponge (Angus?) is supposed to guide us through samples of his Ardmore, Ben Nevis, Glen Grant, Ledaig, Old Rhosdhu, and Springbank bottles. Then I think they’re including a sample of the NAS 30 YO blend.
The formal is dressing a deer, the informal is gutting a deer. Learned a new word today: gralloch. Etymology says it's from the Celtic for bowels or entrails.
I think it would hold at least 2 satsumas, we should maybe look into a limited edition hoodie with a larger orange holding pocket. . . .watch this space
The 'Low Down Parma Violets' - what a band they were

Ledaig whiskies are so yummy....never had an average one yet...whatever they are doing they are doing it right all the way across the board!

Love it girls!! Thanks for reviewing! xx
Great review! After one too many tastings I am definitely partially sentient.....
I'm already reaching out for my H.P. 15👌
…so if you’re a whisky snob, and not a whisky Geek, subscribe. 😂
In north america, they call it "dressing out" a deer or animal after hunting/killing them....never heard gralicking before.....

" I don't want dead fish in my whiskey" that was awesome and so true.
When Ledaig becomes "like 100 eggs" 😂
Does the hoody come with a pouch big enough to hide an orange in?

I had to look it up when first encountered on an earlier review, too. Faeces, manure, (good) sh*t like that.😉

A few more days in that unwashed hoodie and Jen won't have to worry about being partially scented.
The Jen funk 🤣🤣
@@TheGrailTastings "This whisky has notes of Jen's dirty, unwashed hoodie that can stand up by itself...but in a good way."
