  • This is a truly unique solar panel concept that actually surprised me with its utility! And they're making this in both 100W and 200W configurations.

    Very informative. Thanks. I own Jackery solar panels and have never gotten more than 70% predicted output in full sun. Looking to upgrade. Thanks.

      I typically get 80-85% in the summer, and ONCE I actually got 105%! (no idea how that happened!) But yeah, a lot of dependencies that will affect actual output.

    Thanks for the review! I personally think the early bird price on KS is competitive but their stated retail price is insane. I have been looking for a folding 200W - the table part is um..interesting. Still on the fence on this.

      Yeah. I have to agree about that stated retail price. I'd be surprised if they actually go to market with that.

    Found the 100 watt panel for $100 on Amazon purchased 5 of them. Then I got another 2 more for $80 each on eBay. Don’t know how they will work out long term but for emergencies I think they fit the bill.

    Good review. Unlike others, I like the table, Solar placement attachment and wide leg. I would've liked to see extra support for the outer panels. Maybe you can mention prices and specs on your future videos.👍

      Thanks! I didn't get into the price info on this one because it wasn't really settled (as far as I could tell) since the Kickstarter was still underway. Apologies if I didn't cover the output specs on this one! I usually try to do that.

    I'm in need of a folding solar panel, to use inside the windshield of my truck. Will there be a power delivery loss that way? 🤔

    • @ReeWrayOutdoors
      @ReeWrayOutdoors  Рік тому

      Yeah, most certainly, especially since most home and auto glass has UV filtration. You can do it, but expect very low output...probably never more than about 25% of rated output.

    Would be great if they priced it competitively with other decent folding panels per watt. But they did not. It's rather pricy for the gimmick. IMHO.

    you could probably use it as a trash can , don't flip the top (or use the top as the bottom inverting the unit) and line it with a 33 gallon trash bag.

    As an Engineer only one gimmick grabs my attention. Solar Panel Efficiency, anything less than 35% is not efficient, when the efficiencies reach over 75% I will start to get interested. Presently I’m get power at over 90% efficiency, I Use an Instream Hydro Electric Generator, water power available 24 hrs per day, 365 days per year. I know that’s an unfair comparison, but I make use of what’s available.
    It would be of more value if people gave the efficiency of Solar Panels.
