That is a very beautiful! When I was looking at it I kind of felt like I was swimming up from the bottom towards the White which is the Skye and those little orange and blue dots were jellyfish which I should swim away from haha! But I see where it is definitely low tide it's just gorgeous I love it! And Bravo for doing such a big piece! We'll call you Mina jr. Haha!

Hmmm, well, know I know why my 11×14 & 12×12 attempts have just not looked right. My pouring cup is bigger around than your 18 oz cup. Well, that makes sense, it's dispersing the paint too much! Wow, through your fail (the one you talked about, not this) you taught me something very helpful! If a small around cup won't work for a big canvas then it only makes sense that a big around cup won't work for a smaller canvas! Thanks for sharing Sarah!
Well Sarah, my thoughts went in a totally different direction than water. 🤪 I live in the farthest western point of TX, in the desert. 🌵 We are totally landlocked with no water to gaze upon for miles and miles and more miles. 😅 There is a huge mountain that runs right thru the middle of this city. Some days we have a ton of dust in the air, so when the sun sets and there is a small cloud bank hugging the top of the mountain the peachy gold color in your pour is a perfect match! I love this one! 🧡

I am just stunned with your art and just floored with what I saw in this painting. You nailed the views I have seen many times. I have been lucky enough to see the Atlantic and the Baja of California in Mexico but not for long periods of time. They are beautiful. It just takes hours driving to get to any real bodies of water from here. ☹️ I wasn’t born here but spent all but 6 years of my long life sitting and playing in sand, pulling tales off of lizards. 😅 They grow new ones so no harm done. There is a highway thru the mountain where we can stop and view, TX, NM and Mexico in one sweep of the eyes. The desert has a unique beauty all it’s own. But it’s hotter than Hades here, plus a lot of vicious dirt storms, mostly in the spring. Average annual rainfall is 9”. If you ever head thru this area be sure to let me know. I’ll take you to get the real Mexican food and the best steaks imaginable. In fact, I’d love to send you a steak seasoning that is to die for. 🤤 Do you have a fan mailbox? Just don’t ask for seafood. 😅 Please just keep doing what you do. 😘
Also, sweaters.....I don’t own any. Just on light jacket, one pair of gloves and one heavy coat that is hanging in my closet moldering. 😂 I very seldom wear shoes anymore. Had to wear them when I was working. Blah! 😂

I'm rewatching some of your pours, cus I LOVE your art and want to attempt to get this type of effect, I thinks I need to go bigger with my canvas, but that scares me lol and I feel like you just can't get all these different effects on a 12x12! So I'm giving it a shot on one much larger 🤞😬😰 so nervous haha! Love it! I wonder if you got the multicolored cells, both from layering transparents & maybe a little more mixing in the cup during your straight pour bc it was a larger cup with a lot of layers. But they’re gorgeous!
Sarah Mack you KNOW I’ll be watching! Did you use a another big cup(big canvas) with a lot of layers? Your pours have so much depth from the combo of colors/trans/opaques & magical straight pours!
Another pretty one! If you go any bigger you're doing to need an assistant to help you tilt that heavy canvas. (Please give them a matching sweater. ha ha. No wait! There can only be one!)
Is your gold mixed 1:1 with floetrol? I am wondering how your gold never breaks down. I love the contrast of the white part! And I absolutely love the multicolored cells...another gorgeous piece!
Very beautiful, but What happened with using a silicone mat to catch your paint drippings? Well ... I'm here to tell you I tried it and it takes FOREVER for the skins to dry when they are 2:1 floetrol: paint. I think I'm going to take to just doing specific pours for skins. :D

Hahaha omg I have so many sweaters and boot and scarves mittens gloves raincoats and umbrellas in this house to cloth and army! One day I will live somewhere less cold in the winters although I do love watching the snow fall! It’s raining here today (Boston area)

I'm rewatching some of your pours, cus I LOVE your art and want to attempt to get this type of effect, I thinks I need to go bigger with my canvas, but that scares me lol and I feel like you just can't get all these different effects on a 12x12! So I'm giving it a shot on one much larger 🤞😬😰 so nervous haha! But anyhow, back to this piece, it kills me every time, I am in love with those multi-colored cells, just everything about this piece makes me want to stare for hours lol!!!

Love it! I wonder if you got the multicolored cells, both from layering transparents & maybe a little more mixing in the cup during your straight pour bc it was a larger cup with a lot of layers. But they’re gorgeous!

To get the beautiful fat cells the paint must be fairly thick.....right? I still can't get it right.😒

Very beautiful, but What happened with using a silicone mat to catch your paint drippings? Well ... I'm here to tell you I tried it and it takes FOREVER for the skins to dry when they are 2:1 floetrol: paint. I think I'm going to take to just doing specific pours for skins. :D
It does take forever to dry. But I move the mats into the other room with help from the kids and let them sit and dry for a week.

What is it that makes all those cells? Just pouring from higher up? Or is there satin enamel somewhere in your mix?

I add about 2-3 tablespoons
