    This is now the top-spec P-Series in the country, like what Mahindra did with the Pik-up S11 bakkie. GWM did that with the LT P-Series. The results are quite pleasing and I am sure 4x4 enthusiasts will not hesitate to pick it up at a price just below R700K. It comes standard with a 5-year/100 000km warranty and a 5-year/100 000km service plan (First service at 5000km or first 6 months after that at 1yr/10 000km intervals).

      They really did well here Demtumza. The power is the side that I feel leaves some gaps. Hope the next P-Series will come with more 🤞🏾

      They did a fantastic job with this bakkie. I'd probably still take the LT but they did well👌🏾

    The snorkel is also useful for dusty sections since it can breathe air that is cleaner and not the dust that's below. You can read about it more.

      Yep, read about that as well. I honestly always thought about water and nothing else. Thanks for this🙂

    great work as always; I test drove this model about a week ago, and have to say that the interior is superior, however, the drive is very stiff, not the smoothest ride in the market, and the this steering wheel, will take sometime to get used to...

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Рік тому +2

      Thanks a lot Blessing🙂. I have always been impressed by their interior, just the "silver" plastic covers are a "No" for me. Otherwise mostly impressive. My biggest gripe has always been the power figures, at least 140kw/450nm would be appreciated. It's a 2L it can handle that. I agree, reminds me of some Audi(s), a prefer 3 spoke on the steering wheel🤔

      @sebuwam I also feel like that 2L engine has the potential to produce a healthy amount of power.

    Las luces delantera, el frontal de esa pickup deberia ser más robusto pero con diseño moderno, lo mismo en el interior, esta equipada pero luce a la forma antigua ya que la configuracion del cluster no se ve moderno aunque luce muy equipado la poca destreza del clúster y consola central probablemente no va de la mano con la pickup

      I totally agree with you, especially the silver on the panels. It needs a refresh on the dash👌🏾

    I drove the P-series when I was going to the rurals, it gave me loading problems . I had 4 sheeps in the back and 2 cows (jersey) on the trailer, It struggled pulling the trailer, we had to wait for another bakkie to come fetch the trailer Isuzu kb did the pulling

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Рік тому +1

      That's a little more than 2 tons (incl trailer weight). I don't expect to struggle, I wonder why it failed, that is worrying🤔. Well Isuzu will almost always take that with ease😅

      @@sebuwam to be fair I also don't know because it wasn't much weight, funny thing about the Isuzu it also failed to drive off with people in the back since its a double cab 😂😂, so they had to get off and get in the p series 😂😂😂

      🥲🥲🥲. Something I would not want in a lifestyle bakkie

  • @erickmungandi189

    Please confirm the load capacity...is it really 650 KG why when the ordinary bakkie is 1 tonne. Mechanically different?

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Рік тому

      I searched over and over and that's the answer I found, hence I expressed my shock, it's quite low, Raptor level and Raptor has coils at the back. I don't know why leaf springs if it can only take 650kg(s), maybe GWM is playing it safe as a lifestyle bakkie. I can even explain why it differs with the commercial one🤔

  • @manyuhahulisani2091
    @manyuhahulisani2091 Рік тому +1

    I'm still not sure about this one hey but yohh the Bakkie segment is really becoming cutthroat..... this is the most toughest competition on who can deliver the most rugged 4x4..... my biggest letdown on this one is the Wading depth, it might still be at 500mm

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Рік тому +1

      The bakkie segment is really tough but the SUV segment is worse actually. 🤔 Power figures will still play a big role even with all the ruggedness, 4x4 enthusiasts still take pride in owning big engines no matter if they will need the power or not. They just dressed this one for 4x4 but it saves you a lot of time to go out there and spec it like this. I've seen some who tried and ruined it.🤔

    • @manyuhahulisani2091
      @manyuhahulisani2091 Рік тому

      @sebuwam True some aftermarkets sometimes do ruin the look of the vehicle overtime..... but power does play a big role, this heavy behemoths need alot of power to move because more off-roading accessories, more weight on the vehicle, i feel like those little engines do get stressed because they work too hard to be able to get that car moving, maybe i might be wrong but thats my take on this🤔, you can correct me

    I think this update is good but not great and not complete. I feel a few more double digit KW and maybe 500nm would have made it complete.

    • @sebuwam
      @sebuwam  Рік тому

      I seriously agree with you. At least 140kw would have made this different. It needs more🤞🏾

    Hay que mejorar el frontal de esa pickup ya que no representa nada moderno, estás fuera de moda el bumper, las luces frontales lucen obsoletas para el 2024. El hecho de que sea offroad no implica que tenga el peor diseño, así que deberían copiar de otros modelos vanguardista como los de Ford Raptor, y no heredar el mismo tipo de luces que tenía Toyota, por ejemplo Toyota Hilux tiene luces parecida a este tipo de camioneta, ya obsoleta para el año 2024.
