  • Scott Langley Sensei teaches a variety of kihon and kumite exercises at the HDKI Headquarters in order to develop the ability to produce fluid movement in one's karate.

    Great set of exercises. A bit beyond me to teach at the moment, I think, but it's very exciting to see HDKI making an explicit move towards this looser, more flowing form of karate under Scott Sensei. It feels more Okinawan than Japanese - and reminds me a lot of my very early training in Chinese martial arts. I love sticky hands exercises.

    sticky hands exercises are beautiful and very good in close combat ! also the Aikido
    Movements irimi with tenkan are great ! i love it !
