He was going to tell Veronica something too, but he was cut off. I believe the thing he was going to say to Betty was a little part of him thought they would always be together (even romantically). The story he remembered about asking Betty to marry him when they were little where Betty said to ask again when they are 18 foreshadowed this. Kevin's msg at the end of the video also alludes to their relationship. In S2 when that new girl shows up at Jughead's school, I feel like the conflict the cast has been hinting at will cause tension between Betty and Jughead and Archie will be there for Betty and then something will spark between them :) P.S. I don't have a favorite ship, but from the contents of the show this is what I think will happen

I love this. Barchie is such a beautiful ship and I hated that we hardly got to see them together in season 1. I wanted to like bughead, but it was way to rushed. Bughead is cute and they have moments, but I've always loved best friends who are secretly in love. Barchie kinda reminds me of stydia. Archie being Lydia and Betty being Stiles I wish there were more styida and barchie like together. This ship is endgame. There is too much of foreshadowing going on with this ship. I think Bughead is going to fall apart in Season 2, and the they sailed the Varchie ship way too fast, for it too last all seasons long.
