What a humble sport man who said "thank you" to his opponent when shaking hands at the net, he is the one and the only one I have ever seen so far....players easily get self-proud when they got a higher and higher career level, but no matter how far Alcaraz goes, he always stays at his sportsmanship and humble manner!!

The only things that might prevent Alcaraz from becoming an all time great is injuries, his indecisiveness at times and unexpected dips in his level in matches like the 2nd set of this match. I really want him to win this title. I hope he works on those few lapses in his game.

6-1 and 3-1 will test ANYONE's resolve. You're talking about 9-2 before he cocked up. He most likely dialed it down to make it a fairer fight. Can't do that at a grand slam though. He's got to develop the killer instinct and shellac opponents when given the chance.

Not a tennis expert. Just comparing the footwork between Shevchenko and Alcaraz. I can see Shevchenko
    1. Doesn’t consistently split step. May have caused some reaction lag.
    2. Didn’t recover fast after service.
Alcaraz exploited these with direction changes, and deep service returns near Shevchenko feet. Can see Shevchenko struggled to react fast to direction changes, or deep service returns.
Guess split steps and fast service recoveries are key. Just my observations.
Great game from both nonetheless. Respect.

He still has his midmatch downhills/dips/hibernation - 4 games in the second set and MP's at the end. So his mental game still isn't perfect. And sadly looks like the offseason didn't do anything for his serve. But damn if that backhand hasn't come together. I think Carlos needs to hire someone to work with Ferrero; who's sole and only job is to improve Carlos' serve. Whatever he had going on these last two wimbledon finals against Djokovic. He needs that serve but everywhere.

    2. Au 2ème set, il a mené 5-4, service à suivre et il a suffi à l’espagnol de monter son niveau de jeu pour le bloquer à 5 pour finir 5-7 : il témoigne là de son niveau.

He is looking overall less threatening on hard courts in this match for real! Top 10 players are much to anticipate their next shot selection. Of course you look like superman when you can read what the next shot is before it leaves the opponent's racquet.

What madness. Alcaraz is just so good, so quick, so clever. Shevchenko must have given him as little as he could, hats off!
What's more, as a gay man I have to say: Alcaraz is also so scrumptious (sorry), especially because he doesn't shave his armpits...😁
