His new book, Unrequited Infatuations, tells the story of his journey from Surburban New Jersey in the early '60s to performing on some of the world's largest stages and using rock and soul to change the world.
Steve talks top Krishnan about how The Beatles had a profound effect on the course of his career and how he has used his music to influence politics and social affairs.

Lots of stuff about South African apartheid but nothing about apartheid in Palestine.
He isn't that smart. Just says what he's told to say. woof.
You must distinguish between the two. Palestine is occupied by Israel and Palestinians are not considered Israeli citizens by the Israeli government, while South Africa turned it racist ideology which arose directly from colonialism inwards.
The Israeli apartheid has been revealed by the nationality law which gives “special status” to the Jewish majority over all non Jews in Israel.

Unfortunately the majority of people think: democracy is what they want. this is so far removed from reality. At best, democracy is electing governance through votes and using an established process (rules) to do so. Once the (representative) elected govern then it's up to them if they want or can keep promises made. Most of the time they cannot, because they never understood how complex issues can be or what the consequences would be. When people in the UK voted for Brexit, many wanted a better future. Just because someone promises something does not mean it's possible or that they would even try to keep those promises. So, through democracy people my choose to fail.
