Ponta de São Lourenço Miradouro da Ponta do Rosto

Ponta de São Lourenço is of my favorite places in Madeira. There is a beautiful and very popular hiking trail that will take you far back into the peninsula. This video will explore a different angle of Ponta de São Lourenço. We are focusing our attention to Miradouro da Ponta do Rosto. Easy accessible by car with plenty of parking. This is a great option for people who don't want to do long hikes and walks. Step out of the car and enjoy the views. Bring a pic nic and savour the moment. If you are adventurous you can walk up the viewpoint Miradouro da Ponta do Rosto. You will see breath taking cliffs and post card view. If you climb up be careful not to go to close to the edges of the cliff as it can be quite dangerous. Choose a path that you are comfortable with. It’s an easy walk and some areas are protected by a fence. On a clear day you can see Ponta de São Lourenço from there as well as both the south and the north coast of Madeira Island. Far out in the ocean you can also see the Island Porto Santo. I would recommend that you put this on your Madeira to do list!!
