Number One weathering wizard on Model UA-cam? Must be up there. With just a couple of simple (everything is relative) steps, a bone stock plastishine toylike appearance is transformed into a realistic, lifelike precision model. So cool.
I love the Krokodil; it was such a wonderful workhorse. Your videos are always interesting and I am totally amazed by your excellent English. May I offer one small correction? The word 'swab' is pronounced "SWOB" - what a crazy language English is! Greetings from an Englishman who cannot speak Swedish. Paul
Hello, first time visitor here. I thoroughly enjoyed your weathering process on the famous Swiss Crocodile locomotive - a topic close to home for me. I'm a modeller too (mostly 1/64 cars) and I'm trying to improve my weathering skills. You have both inspired and educated me. Thanks! Greetings to Sweden from Switzerland - Andrew 🍁
I love your video tutorials. I have spent nearly $400.00 on changing out all plastic wheel sets to Walthers 33" and 36" metal wheel sets for more than 100 pieces of rolling stock. Included in that cost are KayDee couplers. I cut all the talgo couplers off the trucks and body mounted all couplers to the models. Took me almost 4 months to get it all done, but now my models look better. While in the process of doing all this, I weathered every piece of rolling stock and used different batches of iron oxide I made out of 0000 steel wool in vinegar. Now I need to reclaim all the wiring, connector blocks and track from my old layout to begin the new one. You can use women's makeup in nearly the same colours of the pastel chalks which I use instead of the expensive pastels. Cheers & 73 from W Rusty Lane K9POW in eastern Tennessee
Excellent as usual--thorough and concise. If wiping the windows with water after a clear matt acrylic spray works well, this will save me a lot of time by avoiding masking on a loco I have with lots of small windows. Do you think this can also be done if I use the Vallejo acrylic polyurethane matt varnish? Cheers from Wisconsin.
Hi! Thank you! The product is called and labelled odourless turpentine in the shops. I get about 100 different brands on a Google search. Here’s one: penstore.se/winsor-newton/artisan-thinner-250-ml?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxtSfmYWn9QIVC9nVCh3QLwiGEAQYASABEgIvC_D_BwE
Hello! I have been a fan of this channel for a while now, but I must ask; If I wanted to, would there be a way to use hook and link couplings for realism instead of the NEM ones?
I agree with you Gustavo.. I haven’t seen that either. In practice it would be possible, since the NEM pocket mechanism is assembled with a screw and could be replaced.
Great episode! Many thanks from the usa!
I like the formula of talking about the history of the locomotive.
I agree....it shows his passion for all this!
Nice weathering video!
Very like end result.. Looks authentic..
Very nice Martin, many thanks….take care
This was very helpful and the engine look great! Thanks for sharing this.

Excellent work! Very nice results. I think I should practice on a less expensive model before spraying a Swiss Crocodile loco! :-)
Great Video
Very convincing! Great job!

Thank you very much for your teaching. I will use it. For the spaceships i make to bad that i can't put pictures of 'em. Here. But thank you very much
Again very nicely done. I wonder what airbrush and compressor you use. A video that you go through what equipment you use might be good.

Ohhh one of my favorite locomotives!
Sent a donation..its not much but I hope it helps.

What is Odourless turpentine?

Why did you privatize your Roundhouse building video? I wanted to use that on the basis of weathering an engine shed.
Ser fantastiskt bra ut!
Hej, fint jobb du gör. Har du något förslag på färg som efterliknar rost? Har sökt utan att hitta vilka som marknadsför rostig färg...
Real question. If you weather crocodiles, do they bite?
Yes
It depends on the weather. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
👌👌👌👌👌
May I ask, where in Sweden did you buy the orderless thinner? And how long did you have to wait for the linseed oil to be adsorbed?
Quick question I hope you don't mind, which Model is this locomotive, meaning the marklin model number?
Virkeligt godt, jeg bli'r nød til at lave min brune spor1 krokodille sådan 👍😁
Weather my crocodile... 😳🤣
👍😄
Hello! I have been a fan of this channel for a while now, but I must ask;
If I wanted to, would there be a way to use hook and link couplings for realism instead of the NEM ones?
I didn't see hook & link couples on the market for Marklin trains....it's a pity because the NEM ones aren't very reallistic.....
I agree with you Gustavo.. I haven’t seen that either. In practice it would be possible, since the NEM pocket mechanism is assembled with a screw and could be replaced.
Vilket artikelnummer har detta Märklinlok?
Beställ silver plaketten!
I heard märklín crocodiles are rare
Warum gibt es nie links für die verwendeten produkte? Weil es dafür kein geld gibt? Jetzt muss ich mühsam diese scheiss pastelkreiden suchen.
