I paid £4,000 of my own money to begin a civil case, I was assured that’s all it would cost. As Belfield indicated he was prepared to settle out of court. He then changed his mind, leaving me with the only option to loose everything I had spent already or raise a further £11,000 to keep fighting him. I asked for help. I raised nearly £2,000. But now I have stopped asking, and paid a further £9,000 of my own money. So think what you like, think I am weak for standing up for myself. But also realise, this was far more than just calling me names on social media. Belfield harassed and stalked me and my family and blackmailed me. If you would have put up with that, then that’s up to you, but I didn’t, and I won’t. And I don’t care what you think.

Belfield should never have harassed or blackmailed you. However, he's now doing time for what he did. I'm no legal expert, but I don't think you can stop him mentioning you in the letters he writes to his followers (unless you have evidence of him actually encouraging them to troll/harass you). As a victim of physical bullying numerous times throughout my life, I was only once awarded damages from a court hearing (£500 for broken nose/teeth) so if I were you, I'd be very wary of borrowing on credit cards to finance further action towards belfield when he's already been sentenced for his crimes. I think vine only got a big payout because he has bbc backing and they made an example of belfield. You could keep borrowing on credit cards to hopefully get a payout from belfield, but my gut feeling is that if there was any compensation, it would be far less than it would have cost you in card interest charges (that would then give belfield further satisfaction, knowing he's put you in debt)
There was no machine. Belfield was deflecting. So that nobody would know what he was doing. The evidence was presented, the jury decided. He was found guilty of stalking, there was no cover up, read the judges summary if you want an honest and accurate account of Belfield’s behaviour, do not trust his distorted account. That’s not why he was imprisoned, he was found guilty of stalking. It wasn’t about free speech. His behaviour was criminal by targeting me across multiple social media platforms. Emailing myself and my family, rounding out where I lived, phoning and recording a conversation with my mother, finding out things that I had done over twenty years ago and trying to black mail me over them. I am not a public figure, he had no right to target and make videos about me or my family.

Do not compare me to Belfield. This is not a scam. Belfield pretending he was suing the BBC to extort money from his audience, which he used to fund his lifestyle. Belfield has not sued anyone. He didn’t even use the money to hire a barrister to defend him in his criminal case. He just kept it. Where as I have an existing case that I had paid £4000 in legal fees already. If you bother to watch the video then you will know I am not begging for money. I asked for help in a way that I felt could benefit a charity. Because of data protection, there is no way to give back any donations directly, crowd funders are not set up to do this. That was the scam that Belfield was running, in my case I have been honest and open admitting that I am unable to give the money back to anyone who donates it, but instead I suggested I pay it forward to a charity. It is then up to the doners whether they are happy with this. Nobody has to donate anything. I’m not holding a gun to their head. Furthermore I specifically used crowd justice which is a service that gives the money directly to my solicitor. To ensure that the money does not go directly to me, to avoid any accusation that I have pocketed it. After raising £1850 in donations. Which will go to charities. I have now taken out credit card loans to pay the remaining £9,000 in legal costs. This means that if I win, the credit card will be paid off, and the charity will only get £1850. Rather than £15000 I had set out to raise for them. I was actually trying to do a good thing. So don’t you dare ever call me a beggar, or hypocrite. Don’t ever compare me to Belfield. And don’t bother watching my videos or commenting on them if all you are going to do is victim shame with your cynical and unwanted opinions.
The difference is he is being honest about his case. Belfiled said donate to him to sue the BBC, he used that money to pay for top Lawyers to defend him against serious charges. And he ignored his Lawyers advice. But if I were Philips Friend I would advise him against this action. Had Alex not been given a 5 and a half year sentence, I think his victims had the right to sue him for everything, but he got jail. But Alex did lots of creepy things that he never got charged over, his creepy phone calls to radio stations. So not a fan of him.

Belfield harassed and stalked me and my family and made our lives a living hell, and although he was convicted sentenced and is now in prison. He has now accepted responsibly or accountability for his action, and in fact is still under investigation for further behaviour that the police are now examining. I’m sure if you had been through half of what I have you might have a different perspective. But as for as your comment goes. Believe me I want nothing better than to move on and am trying to get on with my life, but whilst I have £15,000 tied up in legal fees that I would lose if I simply walked away, and while I am still the victim of abuse and trauma caused by Belfield’s continued behaviour and by others incited by him. Once my civil case is resolved, I will then be able to move on.
I got 5.22 into this video, then realised all this is a thinly disguised request for financial help, using his history and circumstances to appeal to people who might either sympathise, or empathise. Sounds very much like begging.

I had no idea who he was, simply because I don't watch UA-cam videos much, & I left England in the late 70's. However, this one happened to come up on my phone, despite not being subscribed to that channel. So I decided to look into it. I'm not taking sides here, but anyone who posts public UA-cam videos should understand that they will be commented on. Once I have made him accountable for his behaviour, and acknowledge and apologise for what he did to me, you are absolutely right. I will feel much better and able to move on with my life. People were blinded by Belfield. Due to the lock down, he came along at the right time, and I thoroughly enjoyed his shows every day, but people donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to Bellfields so called legal fund which he never used. He instead took trips to Vegas and other overseas destinations. From an unemployed has been on 50 quid a week to hundreds of thousands of donations in the bank, hope your action is successful, he has the money stashed away to compensate you. Although I do think his sentence was very harsh I also believe he conned his supporters asking for money for legal fees which he did not use for representation.
To publicly raise money for one purpose and then use it for another is fraud. I wonder if this is what Philip was alluding to when he said the police were investigating Belfield. I’m aware that many people made complaints to Action Fraud about the donations.
I also enjoyed his videos through lockdown, he was a good entertainer. But when he started asking for money and going abroad for holidays, I guessed there was something strange going on.

And I agree, and for what it’s worth have drawn my own comparisons between Trump and Belfield. Trump got half a country to vote and sippprt him. Belfield had over 400k subscribers to his channel. But this is precisely why I have decided proceed with my case. Even if I remain silent and try to move on and carry on with my life, there are people (trolls) who have clearly been influenced and Belfield and who are continuing to harass and target me. They haven’t, and won’t stop. I need Belfield to acknowledge and apologise publicity for his behaviour in order to discredit himself. His blind followers will then have two options, either to accept that their hero for what he is, or they might well continue to follow him, but they won’t have anything to base their allegiance on. If you knew or understood half of my story you wouldn’t try to push your opinion on to me, as you clearly don’t get it.
I paid £4,000 of my own money to begin a civil case, I was assured that’s all it would cost. As Belfield indicated he was prepared to settle out of court. He then changed his mind, leaving me with the only option to loose everything I had spent already or raise a further £11,000 to keep fighting him.
I asked for help. I raised nearly £2,000. But now I have stopped asking, and paid a further £9,000 of my own money.
So think what you like, think I am weak for standing up for myself.
But also realise, this was far more than just calling me names on social media. Belfield harassed and stalked me and my family and blackmailed me.
If you would have put up with that, then that’s up to you, but I didn’t, and I won’t.
And I don’t care what you think.

Belfield should never have harassed or blackmailed you. However, he's now doing time for what he did. I'm no legal expert, but I don't think you can stop him mentioning you in the letters he writes to his followers (unless you have evidence of him actually encouraging them to troll/harass you). As a victim of physical bullying numerous times throughout my life, I was only once awarded damages from a court hearing (£500 for broken nose/teeth) so if I were you, I'd be very wary of borrowing on credit cards to finance further action towards belfield when he's already been sentenced for his crimes. I think vine only got a big payout because he has bbc backing and they made an example of belfield. You could keep borrowing on credit cards to hopefully get a payout from belfield, but my gut feeling is that if there was any compensation, it would be far less than it would have cost you in card interest charges (that would then give belfield further satisfaction, knowing he's put you in debt)

There was no machine. Belfield was deflecting. So that nobody would know what he was doing. The evidence was presented, the jury decided. He was found guilty of stalking, there was no cover up, read the judges summary if you want an honest and accurate account of Belfield’s behaviour, do not trust his distorted account. Remember Belfield represented himself and refused to give evidence. Then later admitted he lied about Jeremy Vine. I don’t know how much clearer it can be.

That’s not why he was imprisoned, he was found guilty of stalking. It wasn’t about free speech. His behaviour was criminal by targeting me across multiple social media platforms. Emailing myself and my family, rounding out where I lived, phoning and recording a conversation with my mother, finding out things that I had done over twenty years ago and trying to black mail me over them. I am not a public figure, he had no right to target and make videos about me or my family.
But what you gotta understand is Belfield ranted about many others. Mostly the BBC. Personally I stopped watching any content about him the second he stopped uploading to his channel.

Do not compare me to Belfield. This is not a scam. Belfield pretending he was suing the BBC to extort money from his audience, which he used to fund his lifestyle. Belfield has not sued anyone. He didn’t even use the money to hire a barrister to defend him in his criminal case. He just kept it.
Where as I have an existing case that I had paid £4000 in legal fees already. If you bother to watch the video then you will know I am not begging for money. I asked for help in a way that I felt could benefit a charity.
Because of data protection, there is no way to give back any donations directly, crowd funders are not set up to do this. That was the scam that Belfield was running, in my case I have been honest and open admitting that I am unable to give the money back to anyone who donates it, but instead I suggested I pay it forward to a charity.
It is then up to the doners whether they are happy with this. Nobody has to donate anything. I’m not holding a gun to their head.
Furthermore I specifically used crowd justice which is a service that gives the money directly to my solicitor. To ensure that the money does not go directly to me, to avoid any accusation that I have pocketed it.
After raising £1850 in donations. Which will go to charities.
I have now taken out credit card loans to pay the remaining £9,000 in legal costs.
This means that if I win, the credit card will be paid off, and the charity will only get £1850. Rather than £15000 I had set out to raise for them.
I was actually trying to do a good thing.
So don’t you dare ever call me a beggar, or hypocrite. Don’t ever compare me to Belfield. And don’t bother watching my videos or commenting on them if all you are going to do is victim shame with your cynical and unwanted opinions.
The difference is he is being honest about his case. Belfiled said donate to him to sue the BBC, he used that money to pay for top Lawyers to defend him against serious charges. And he ignored his Lawyers advice. But if I were Philips Friend I would advise him against this action. Had Alex not been given a 5 and a half year sentence, I think his victims had the right to sue him for everything, but he got jail. But Alex did lots of creepy things that he never got charged over, his creepy phone calls to radio stations. So not a fan of him.

Belfield harassed and stalked me and my family and made our lives a living hell, and although he was convicted sentenced and is now in prison. He has now accepted responsibly or accountability for his action, and in fact is still under investigation for further behaviour that the police are now examining. I’m sure if you had been through half of what I have you might have a different perspective. But as for as your comment goes. Believe me I want nothing better than to move on and am trying to get on with my life, but whilst I have £15,000 tied up in legal fees that I would lose if I simply walked away, and while I am still the victim of abuse and trauma caused by Belfield’s continued behaviour and by others incited by him. Once my civil case is resolved, I will then be able to move on.

This is my channel, and my side of the story. People were blinded by Belfield. Due to the lock down, he came along at the right time, and I thoroughly enjoyed his shows every day, but people donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to Bellfields so called legal fund which he never used. He instead took trips to Vegas and other overseas destinations. From an unemployed has been on 50 quid a week to hundreds of thousands of donations in the bank, hope your action is successful, he has the money stashed away to compensate you.
Although I do think his sentence was very harsh I also believe he conned his supporters asking for money for legal fees which he did not use for representation.
To publicly raise money for one purpose and then use it for another is fraud. I wonder if this is what Philip was alluding to when he said the police were investigating Belfield. I’m aware that many people made complaints to Action Fraud about the donations.
I also enjoyed his videos through lockdown, he was a good entertainer. But when he started asking for money and going abroad for holidays, I guessed there was something strange going on.

I need Belfield to acknowledge and apologise publicity for his behaviour in order to discredit himself.
His blind followers will then have two options, either to accept that their hero for what he is, or they might well continue to follow him, but they won’t have anything to base their allegiance on.
