Thanks for the shout out, Jude! You got the prononciation almost right 😅 great video as always! Keep going with the awesome work that you are doing 👍👏 The knife package is getting close so can't wait to pick it up from the post office 😁
Haha! I tried. Actually cut out like 2 other times I tried to pronounce your name, and it just sounded a million times worse than this. So excited to see what you think of it, and thanks again for letting play with it for a while!
Thanks, John! And I'm really enjoying these comparisons too! I haven't been doing too much leatherwork lately. Kinda ran out of knives to make sheaths for in my collection. Haha!
Just ran across this video. Grt video. Enjoyed the comparisons. I have 2 WCK Classic Woodsman. One in Nitro V scandi & one AEBL saber grind. Really enjoy using both. Looking forward to more videos
Good comparison of 2 similar knives by different makers. Nitro V steel has good edge retention, fair toughness (better than Elmax, S35VN, M390, N690, and others), and excellent corrosive resistance--as you pointed out. WC uses a 12-15 angle, making the edge very sharp.
@@SurvivoTek Thank You. I am not a bushcrafter or a steel expert--not even close. I work outside with a machete or knife slashing vines, small saplings, and briars. A smart man would use loppers. I inevitably hit a rock beneath the otherwise sandy soil. I have fixed many chips, consequently. I have experimented with tough steels like 8670, 5160, 1V, etc. Heat treat matters greatly, regardless of the steel, as does the blade geometry, etc. You have mentioned this in videos. The Bark River machete had only minor chipping (1V), and the AG Russell Sandbox knife had none. It holds the record so far. i am just a 60s+ old guy raised in south Arkansas clearing brush with a machete who still enjoys this. Sorry for being so lengthy.
Yo, used to watch you years ago glad to see you’re still making fire content. Keep it up g

Love it Bro, Always makes my day when you load up a vid.
That's so awesome of you to say, man! I'm having a lot of fun getting back out and filming!
Appreciate your review and sharing your thoughts.
I’m a huge fan of your work! And it was a pleasure working with your Woodsman Classic! I’ll definitely be recommending it.
@@SurvivoTek thank you!
Really enjoying your knife comparison series Jude. Please keep them coming!
I will do my best! It's been a really fun video series for sure!
Great job Jude. Dang it you have all the cool knives
Hey, thanks, brother! I have too many, if I’m honest. Don’t even remember getting half of them. Haha!
Love the videos buddy! Like the comparisons and the fact you keep showing so many great makers. Would love to see more leather work videos too!

Thank you! And I had no idea William made Classic Woodsmans in saber! That would be a great camp knife especially in AEBL!
Can you tell any difference between edge holding or ease of sharpening between nitro v and aebl
Awesome video Jude. Do you have other relics that are hybrids of the previously reviewed styles?
Thank you! I have a couple more “hybrids” I’d be happy to show off!
Fantastic, I can’t wait to see them. Really enjoying this series!

Thank you for clarifying the benefits of Nitro-V! I'm not super familiar with it, so this really helps!

Thank you!
I love them both and I'm a big fan of William...but in this case I have to go with Joe's design....wow imagine Joe's with nitro-v
Hey, you gotta be true to yourself! Have you had a chance to play with a Blackfeather Woodsman?
I have not, only the WCs.
Booth very nice
