Thank you for this D.O. reaction! I appreciate your honesty. You're right, no matter what genre D.O. sings, his vocals are golden. And like others said, the music that D.O. makes tend to be more comforting and healing. The concept for this album was growth. D.O. likes to share stories and express relatable everyday emotions. Of course I, too, wait for the day D.O. drops an rnb album. But I love him and his music nonetheless. Even though this isn't the album some of us want, it might be an album that some of us need. In this kpop saturated and toxic culture and industry, I think this kind of raw, honest, refreshing, and wholesome sound is needed. Thanks for always showing love to EXO. As an EXO-L, I look forward to your EXO group and solo reactions!

Kyungsoo chose all the songs for this album, as he did for Expectation. And he said he really picked these songs very quickly this time around, he knew what he wanted to convey with this album - to show growth, but also to hope that he will continue to grow. He really has clearly stated in interviews he wants to make music that gives strength and comfort to listeners. Hence i feel the minimalistic production and focus on vocals and lyrics. I feel ya man, all the fans at fanmeets tell him please do an RNB album, hahaha. But this is why my fave in the whole album is MY DEAR - it is definitely RNB chords, just acoustic. And About Time has me in a chokehold. That chorus man wtf. Sound like he been through 5 divorces. I am going to attend his fancon later this year i hope i get to tell him - PLEASE DO AN RNB ALBUM hahahahahaha

Thank you Brock for reacting to Kyungsoo. Its totally alright if the album is not vibing for you, maybe at the moment you dont require this vibe but his songs got some magic. The way he sings, he tells stories..it got emotions. Maybe one day you will turn to this songs and realize how amazing his choice of songs are 😊 I like the whole album but its About Time for me too...must have heard it for countless time as of now but gets me every time, it does something to my heart...Kyungsoo's magical vocals got that power. He speaks to you, touches your heart, pulls all the strings, makes you feel all sort of emotions..omg! You are too good Kyungsoo.❤
Kyungsoo said he wants his music to heal. That's what it is... maybe u dont need it right now but there will come a time when u need this type of music and then u will know what playlist to tune into

honestly, im the same as you, waiting for an rnb , jazzy or even hiphop abum or a mix of those. i love all the 3 albums, but the waiting for the changeup of genre is frustrating sometimes. That doesn't lessen my admiration for the man because his vocals are just freaking incandescent. Lets not give up hope! For the meantime, you know Seasons show where he sang Rewrite the stars? well it has a new host- Zico- you just reacted to him with Jennie- Spot? He's a rapper, producer, songwriter and a close friend of Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo was a guest last Friday and they sang Spot with Kyungsoo doing the Jennie part. Pls watch it and react to it. It will exhilirate you and give you a pang coz he can absolutely slay that genre and wish he's come up with music of that kind. Also he covered Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Ive heard that song so much and every cover there is but was pleasantly surprised coz it sounded so much more when he sang it. Pls, watch it please! He also did a dance challenge for Spot and he be slayin! Maybe that will ease a bit the frustration of your heart hahaha. However I love this album because this is my vibes but I do wish Kyungsoo would do more songs like About Time cause that song is really good. I love when he belts a bit more.

This is an honest reaction you dont have to like the singer's songs just to appreciate his voice we all have differnt taste in music were we can vibe but appreciating true vocals even the song doesnt fits your taste is giving me a mature review from a reactor, my respect to you sir.
Im rarely comment but i just want to let you know that im also not good with this type of genre of song. So i totally get what you saying, i love d.o and chen vocal voice so much. Support them as like other boys but their solo genre they did didnt really suit me and thats fine.
I actually didnt listen to all the tracks yet so listening it w you really makes me happy bc i get someone to accompany and its comforting vibe that you always shared your thoughts evernow and there. And for me the nonskip album (only based on album, not including OST, single etc) from exo member so far is D.O. with his accoustic based and vocal tone, Chen with his ballad and japanese album are all nonskipable so far, Suho with his poprock british pop. For single it is still D.O and Chen, and then chanyeol and baekhyun.
To be honest, the first time i listened to this album, i wasn't too impressed with it. But after listening to it again, it's been growing on me. They're good songs to listen to late at night.

I agree with you that there should be some different colors in one album, but maybe the lack we got here is because it's a mini album? limited songs, limited variety? I mean, we're usually being spoiled by (for example) exo's albums that have a lot of things going on so we kinda expect that much?
