The first half were "Regular" songs and the second half were "Irregular" songs, both by industry standards. This is also why the Korean version of Regular is in the first half (lyrics about hard work, etc.) and the English version is in the second half (flex lyrics).
This is my favorite NCT 127 album. I'ts so different and I just love the vibe 🥰 Also it's painful to watch these lyric videos because they always mix up Taeil and Yuta with eachother. Also there is so many other mistakes as well 😅
Great 1st full album! And in my opinion, this is their worst full album comparably to what's to come lol I never listen to "City 127" so I have no thoughts really, but you're right, it's nice! Now "Replay (1:27 PM) is my SONG. When they had their 1st World Tour after this album, this was the song that was the "lightstick song" like you shook your lightsticks and they synced to the beat of the song and it was MAGICAL. If you can, definitely look up a video of the crowd during this song, like I'm forever sad I didn't get to see that tour live just for "Replay". 12:25 Mark is a STELLAR singer, I LOVE when he sings. You'll hear him do it more and more often over the years. All the rappers are. "No Longer" is stunning. And I love that you appreciate their longer songs because even in their latest full album, they have a 5 minute song and I eat that shit up lol NCT's "Interludes" and "Outros" and "Intros" are all pretty awesome. After 2020 they stop doing them as often unfortunately. "My Van" is one of my favorites, but it isn't liked by very many fans either so I understand you not feeling it as much. I just really love the storytelling element and how the production matches the monotony and flatness they're feeling. The song is about the cycle of constantly being in this tiny, boring van, going so many places at all hours, they're tired and don't even know where they're going. To ME, I always felt the song purposely felt like that to make you feel the exhaustion and dissociation they're feeling. "Come Back" is a great song. This song has been in 3 different languages lol it was first released in Japanese as a bside for "Chain", then Korean for this album and finally "Chinese" as a bside for WayV's debut. It's a shame you won't watch or at least listen to "Regular (English ver)", because it's the (superior) more popular version lol and because all 3 language versions of Regular have different lyrics and it's fun to see the difference. I hope you watch or listen to it on your own at least! "Run Back To You" is fun because it's a remix of a song that some of the NCT members danced to pre-debut! It was a pretty viral performance video of theirs at the time and it was fun to see them bring it back for the nostalgia and for being just a really fun song. Question: Would you be open to doing NCT's full albums in their entirety, as in including the repackage tracks, in the future? I only ask because it's usually only 2-3 new songs and I think they're best enjoyed in the context of the whole album. In Regular-Irregular/Regulate's case, the only new song is "Welcome to My Playground" since you already heard "Simon Says" and "Chain". Until like mid 2023, all their full albums (except WayV) had repackages and I feel like the repackage songs are easily forgotten when you only do the first release 😭 Understandable if that's not what you wanna do though! ALSO! When you get to the Neo Zone/Final Round album, all the bsides have track videos (shortened mvs), I hope you think about reacting to those after hearing the full song maybe?

Thank you so much for the NCT 127 album reaction. I love it. Got into the group sometime after it had been released and didn't know the members well yet. Yuta was the one who got me interested in 127 and I was screwed up for a full year by the lyric video for "No Longer" that attributes Taeil's voice to Yuta. I'm okay now, though, and Taeil is a huge vocal favorite. His voice just makes my ears and heart melt. I also love Yuta's voice too - it just isn't Taeil's. LMAO
