Loved the bench tour and seeing your fab collection. Wow, that Epson! I would definitely keep the slider for the pliers - every time you use it you can feel proud you made something so cool.
You used to work for Snap-On? Cool. I like the drawer organization. If you don't make another sliding rack for your pliers, consider putting them on the right side drawers if you're right handed!
Hi. Love your channel.Slightly off topic but I was wondering if you could do a video on reversing the polarity of an LCD display. I have a couple of watches with negative displays which are not clear to read and I understand it,s possible to change them to positive. I don,t want to attempt it though until i've seen it done.Thanks.
Great videos and channel...love it..learnt a lot...I have a Seiko A547-500c module that keeps fading..took apart, cleaned, yet after 5 secs it fades to zero. Light and all the meter readings are fine that I can tell but haven't a clue why the display fades out completely...any experience in this at all...I'm at a complete loss...
Hey Miguel, there are a lot of top brands, Olympus, Laica, etc. but if you are a hobbyist working on watches they can be expensive, hence my recommendation in the video.
Dear VDW! Awesome videos, and I've learnt a lot from you about this fascinating technology...not to mention I'm in love with digital watches with a bit more unique display design. I wonder if I can ask something practical: I've found a cool Citizen Jet Boy from around 1980-82 at a garage sale. LCD looks intact, and when I put a battery in, all display sections show digits etc, but in a funny way (letters instead of numbers etc). What I noticed, is that somebody took this apart in the past, and put back the LCD panel bottom-up. If an LCD is put back upside down (not flipped, only turned 180 the wrong way), I assume it gets incorrect info from the mother board, and it can cause the above symptom right? Thanks in advance for your time if you reply to this :)
Hi, love your channel. Thank you for the knowledge you share. I have a question about conductive silver compound. Is there an alternative to it and would graphite powder mixed with the glue do the job?
Hello I am desperate to find a replacement wristband for my Epson RC20. I saw in one of your video that you have found it. Could you tell me where ? Many thanks
Help ! Hello , I’m struggling since two months with a modutek 121001 … bought some replacements modules , and when I put a 391 battery all work fine just for one minutes or less or more and everything bug … I don’t understand , I opened it everything seems fine and clean , I cleaned it all and nothing fix the thing … would you have any idea … ? Is there any possibility to join you ?
Thank you for your videos. They are very instructive. Perhaps someone can help me with the problem I am experiencing with my Casio 106 H101 Marlin watch. I'm the original owner and it sat for many many years in a drawer (at least 25 years). Just last week I rediscovered it and replaced its battery. It came a live. The screen is operating perfectly and 3 of the 4 buttons work perfectly. The button that does not work is the "light" button which has other functions in the other modes. When I press it, the screen goes blank. When I release it the screen comes back immediately but with different numbers. This happens in all of the modes. I can reset it with AC but the problem persists. This problem occurs whether the module is in the watch body or not, so I know it has nothing to do with the pusher in the watch body. The circuit board components were very clean when I opened it to replace the battery. There was no corrosion anywhere including on the old battery. I still wiped down everything with alcohol. Perhaps there is a short but I have no idea where to go from here.
very nice ..i wanted to be like you many years ago ..I even bought a wire bonding machine to repair chips with bad wires ,Maybe you need one of those ..

Thanks for sharing that is an impressive collection. My first boss always said horizontal spaces are the hardest to keep clear. 👍

Hello I have a Nelsonic Space Attacker watch that I received in pieces . I don't know what the order is to put the screen together.

Any info on Seiko 0439-5009? Particularly glass/crystal replacement? Thanks.
Where are you located? I could not find anyone to fix my Bioman watch from the eighties. Thanks.
Not familiar with that watch, and shipping costs plus fixing costs may not make it worthwhile
If you google it. Its called Bioman Techno Brace. Do you happen to know anybody in the US who specialized on your trade? Thanks.

It is a Casio Fil Watch strap that I had to sand with a file to get it to fit.
@@VintageDigitalWatches thanks for your swift answer. So you purchased it on a Casio website? Could you share that file maybe? Many thanks
