I own both of these and they are 2 of the best tech pouches on the market. They didn't work for what I originally needed (CAP1 too small, CAP2 too big) which the AER Tech pouch was the perfect size. CAP2 has become my work tech pouch, and CAP1 as my personal tech pouch and lives in my backpack.
Agreed, these pouches are very well designed. I could see a use for the Element because it's so thin, but hard to justify that price since it's basically just a thin bag with a divider 😒
Thanks for the review! I never understood the point of the CAP1 until your video. Definitely getting one since, like you said, it’s perfect for 1 bag travel or vacation trips. My CAP2 is a desk caddy for work/tech stuff, and I got it to cover a digital nomad lifestyle.
Before I had either I thought the CAP2 was the better pouch but now that I have both, I find myself liking and using the CAP1 more. It holds way more than you’d think and it’s easy to access stuff when on the go. It fits in narrow spots and actually makes a good organizer in the car since it can fit in the glovebox, center console, door pocket, etc. Plus the magnets are fun. With the CAP2 you really have to set it down on a surface to easily open it and access the contents and it’s also quite bulky as mentioned.
Same experience. Thought CAP1 looked kind of goofy, but loved the design of CAP2. Got the latter. It thrives as a permanent desk caddy but it never leaves the house. Got CAP1, and it’s outstanding for travel and my favorite of the two.
Probably the best explanation of these I’ve seen. I own both and I would have benefited from this video if it had existed before I bought them. Oh and one small thing: I have always heard the Evergoods team pronounce it “cap” instead of saying “see-a-pea.” 🙂
Haha, yes I thought of the pronouncation. Spelling it out seemed more in line with the other bags in their line, like CTB, CPL, CHZ. Seems weird to spell those out but then pronouce CAP as if it's a word 🤷♂
I have the CPL24 V3 and the CAP 1. This combo is perfect for edc or short travel. I like the green CAP1, but that orange is pretty obnoxious. It's unfortunately a deal breaker for me. Cheers!
If by boring delivery you are referring to my captivating destriptions, riveting comparisons, spellbinding use of grammar and wit, and my engaging personality, then yes.

I haven't tried a lot of tech pouches, I'll check out the AER, thanks!
Way better designs than their new ELEMENT DROP IN

I like how your camera is zoomed in so viewers can really see the details of the gear
Zoom master, thanks!

Portable desk caddy is the perfect use for the CAP2

The orange is pretty bright 😆
Will the CAP 2L hold an iPad mini?
I don't have one to test but looking up the dimensions it seems like it would
Informational but boring delivery

I find delivery to be fine.
Delivery is perfectly paced. Easy to understand and follow. Thanks for taking the time to put this together for the community!
