The scene with Venti and the statue of Barbatos was so smart it left me in tears I don't know if it was intended but Venti being held by the statue just like little birds before makes so much sense lorewise since there was a story in Amber's book about birds that couldn't fly in the beginning of Monstadt's archon quest omg Making Venti a bird that can't really fly is heartbreaking to see Zhongli's and Raiden's parts were neat too and the artstyle is sooooo cool!! Your art is very beautiful keep it up!!!!!!!!

Every archon lost someone precious to them and tries to overcome it in different ways. Venti watched his best friend die in front of him during the revolution, and he tries to drink the pain away. Zhongli watched his (maybe?) lover die in front of him in a field full of the flowers she loved, and he reminisces now and then to his trusted ones. Ei watched her twin sister die in her arms in a land far away from their home, she keeps a small remnant of her consciousness and cut herself out from the world gradually. Nahida watched her creator fade away by her own hand when she finally got the chance to meet her after so long, and she forgot she even existed.
This is so underrated, Venti seeing his friend's reflection in the water in the "upside down" part was so poetic! Having the Archons' world change around them in different ways while the remnants of the past remained was just beautiful, especially how the dynamics changed like how Venti sat in the statue's hands as his friend's image, and that Ei now is the shadow and the light ruling Inazuma. This is the animatic detailing the Archons' loss that I was really looking for, thank you for such a masterpiece! Edit: The colors you chose were also so pretty, I love the palette choice
The Venti and the statue transition part.. I can't- I'm crying. The entire thing has got me crying in fact, Genshin is far more sad than I would have imagined upon first seeing it.
As archons they've lost so many people but the few they were close with still shakes their cores til this very day. And that is what I like about genshin, they know that each character has their own personality and shines brightly but they know how to bring out a softness to them as well. :]

idk why this animatic hurts me personally, I’ve seen the archons’ backstory a thousand times but, I don’t know you bring a sort of nostalgic feel to it, like Raiden Ei’s past here, I kinda refuse to believe that it has been a year since Inazuma and this animatic is the only one probably who gives me that nostalgic feeling.
