      3 shows you guys should absolutely react too
      Taboo 2017 it’s only 8 episodes and the lead is none other than Ton hardy aka Venom
      The crowded room 2023 10 episodes the lead is none other than Tom Holland aka Spider-Man
      And
      Netflix’s ERIC it just came out a few weeks ago it’s 6 episodes with lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch aka Dr strange
      All 3 are great shows with different types of action but also great Story’s
      And there short so adding them into the cue of your channel would be easy as well as bringing in lots more viewers and subscribers 🥰🥰

    I think the title ‘Napkins’ is a reference to S1 EP8 where Tina recalls to Carmy about how the lack of care Michael had towards paying for napkins was out of character for him. In their scene together where he first approaches her he is putting napkins in the dispenser while trying to initiate a conversation. Perhaps representing the sensible, caring side of Michael that Tina has always known him to be before his addiction took place.

    You can also get some insight into why Tina was SOOOO intimidated by Sydney. She thought the younger more "experienced " person was gonna move her outta the way. When Carmy and then syd came on she probably was thinking she was gonna have to look for a job again. Whats weird tho is i thought Tina made a few remarks in the first season that put me under the impression that she was there for a loooooong time.

    • @lunaloutfy
      @lunaloutfy 9 днів тому

      I actually think that she’s been there for a longer time. Not just at the former Beef restaurant but in the job market as a whole because she worked too hard to get here as we now saw in this episode. I’m not sure if that’s entirely correct but that’s how I personally saw it. But I do see your point and I agree as well :)

  • @olivialayne06
    @olivialayne06 9 днів тому +21

    I love that the episode called back to Richie’s talent for being good with people. After weeks of feeling overlooked and demoralized, Richie took a second to give Tina a cup of coffee on the house. Just a simple act of kindness for someone who really needed it. He actually talked to her and made her feel seen. Between that and her sit down with Mikey, they really show why Tina was/is so fiercely loyal and protective of The Bear crew. They helped her when she was down by just being kind people.

      It also showed that, not only is he good with people, but he GETS people. It took him under 10 seconds to look at her and realize this was a woman having a rough time and doing a small thing to try to make it a little bit better.

    It's so wild how last season's episode 6 which was Fishes was phenomenal. And then this season's episode 6 Napkins just wrecked me. I totally just understood and felt what Tina was going through as I'm currently going through that right now myself. Just unable to find anyone willing to hire me even though I have all this experience.
    Seeing that Ayo directed this at the end when the credits started rolling was the cherry on top

    “Napkins” is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best and my favorite episode of The Bear. I’ve been waiting for a Tina-centric episode for so long, and we finally got it.
    It definitely explains why Tina was the way that she was back in season 1… I never thought of it that way. In fact, I didn’t think they would ever explain it because I didn’t think there would be any need to, but I couldn’t be more glad that they did.
    When I realized what was going on, I gasped so loud I started coughing because of how much air I sucked in… her backstory is one hell of a full-circle moment for her.
    Seeing her meeting Richie and Mikey was actually very interesting, and I kept yelling at my screen telling them that they know each other because it felt so bizarre and absurd that they didn’t know each other… but I get it. I SAID I FUCKING GET IT!!!
    I couldn’t stop gushing over this flashback. Greatest character-centric episode? I think yes!!! So proud of Ayo (Sydney) because this was her directorial debut, and I seriously hope that Liza (Tina) gets all the damn awards for her performance here 😭❤️

    This episode hit way too close to home for me. I was laid off from my job back in December. Was there for over 18 years. It is rough being a woman in her mid 40s looking for a job now after working in a highly niched position for so long. Yeah, this episode is personally triggering for me.

    11:49 Good times and celebrations happen around food, according to Michael However, The Bear truly lacks joy five episodes in this season. I have a feeling the future for The Beer wouldn't be to earn/keep the Michelin stars, but to become a chill food establishment where friends and family gather for good times without Carmy's "non-negotiables" and unrealistic goals of seeking perfections. A place, like the characters, that embrace its imperfections.
