Totally agree. It's still a comfortable Mustang, but your buying performance. From reading articles about the C8. The base seats are unconformable. If you want the better seats and matching seatbelt colors. You pay for that option. Ford should offer an optional interior upgrade. My guess is most would pass on that option.

Great video really like watching your channel. I'm on my 2nd Shelby and I don't know if I ever notice if it's really that much plastic lol .. That is really disappointing on the Interior I can't believe FORD did not do a better job on the interior for what you have to pay $$$ Don't get me wrong I am a huge Shelby fan but I want to get the most for what I pay for. I will hold out for the new Z06 that will be the best bang for buck . Black beauty is beautiful though.
So you honestly thought you were about to get all that one off shit for cheap and then think you were going to get special interior knowing full well a fully loaded mustang GT is already near 60k
The plastic drives me crazy on all of the high technology cars. The corvette is full of alcantara and carbon fiber everywhere when you up the packages... but the doors in the 2020 GT500 are still the same plastic you would get in a standard S550... I love it, but that plastic KILLS the car's value despite it being the most HP mustang, you might as well go buy an 18 GT or 2020 GT w/ a whipple or centrifugal supercharger that makes 800HP and could even be faster than the GT500. Even over the gas mileage... that plastic really kills the value I believe. I would say if you're keeping the car, replace that plastic with carbon fiber, not only will it add to appearance, but it will lose a bit of weight too. BTW Ford's comment to me on the plastic was similar to "We want all our cars to retain a specific image, the plastic is lightweight to lower the weight of the car more than other options available" If I EVER splurge on a 2020 GT500, I'm definitely making sure I have carbon fiber replacement interior panels ready to go.... that, or opt for a faster 800HP S650 when it releases.
It’s funny how it works. I have a 6.2l z06 as well as the 5.2l shelby. The zo6 gets much much much better gas mileage with even a liter more of displacement. Crazy.
the whole reason it's so cheap is because it sacrifices quality for performance budget. and you can't really get anything performing better overall for the price
This is such a good car, and honestly for what you get it should be more expensive. Americans have a twisted view of what supercars should cost. This same kind of machine if made by a European automaker would be $150,000+ and no one would bat an eye. GET OVER THE PLASTIC A PILLAR PEOPLE.

I do agree, ford definitely could have done away with all the standard plastics in the car, especially with those cars costing anywhere from $90k-$110k. I honestly think that could be applied to everyday mustangs as well, like the price isn’t justified when it comes to interior quality
Love that your being real can’t wait to see the new cars
Speed Density Tune, probably needs to be tuned by a tuner, that load bases to get Speed density locked on and timing. Its definitely worth a shot to get a little better gas mileage on the track. My 2015 Z28 run Speed density, the stock map was so rich at wide open throttle. I use HP tuners to adjust the Speed Density. A good Tuner should make difference from the factory tune. Love your content, goodluck!
Zo6 im getting 24mpg driving 75 mph in sport mode highway city is around 12 to 16 depending on how hard i drive it i don't track it your car sounds amazing
New sub how many cars donu have and what do I do for work?
A 12 bolt rain guard that requires manuel placement is NOT a small deal....that sucks.
I really don’t understand why ford could add 3 or atleast 5 more gallons in the tank
You can thank your California government for your high gas prices . Here in Indiana were paying 1.95 our less a gallon. And all the e85 you want .
@@LeeC_808 I don't know if you can read but dude said Indiana
Indiana
I get mines from Indiana also I live very close in Crete gas is definitely cheaper
1.87 here in TN and AR!
not too smart with those front tires
My thoughts exactly. I would not drive any car with wear like that... let alone this one. Pretty bonehead move on his part.
I have a 2013 GT500. I bought this car for smiles per gallon not for miles per gallon. What I hate is only being off two days to enjoy it.
So no cannonball runs in it?
I think you nailed the core issues. Plastic and gas. But, then, you bought it for the fun. Great video - Again.
Bro, you trying to sell it and you already need tires on it? How many miles do you have on it? I am seriously interested in it and I sent you a email, but how hard have this GT500 been driven and how many miles? Thanks
At some point we will need to meet up and compare the Whippled CarbonFiber GT350R with the GT500.
You bring gas with you to the track :)
Hey bro on that rain tray you know what you should try to do is figure out a velcro system something that you can easily take it off and put it back on be the first one to come up with it and then make some money who knows
What did you expect for gas mileage?
Trassmission cooler is under size?
That’s ridiculous! My car gets 22-24 mpg cruising at 75mph on E85 making. And my car makes 900rwhp.
I’m a ford guy and love that car but I’m sorry for the price you can get an extremely loaded c8 that has a lot of a better looking build quality to it and I’m sorry for that reason I’d get the c8
In my opinion the 2020 gt500 has the BEST front design and 2014 as 2nd best
Fatal Flaw is owner WOW...…………….. What car doesn't plastic now. Fuel mileage will be bad depending how you drive.
pdmustgt d Biggest Flaw is black paint. Love black cars. But it’s just horrible. It’s just so difficult to maintain. Any rain drop or bird poop ends up baked in with the sun and black paint cooking it up. Also seems more susceptible to rock chips with hot paint chipping easier.
Only 14 mpg going 70 mph on the hwy ??? . My 797 Hp 300 lb heavier Challenger Hellcat Redeye. With the 3.09 rear gears. Gets 22.3 mpg going 70 mph's, down the hwy. City is 15-16 mpg. Then again the gas guzzler Tax. Is $900.00 more on the GT 500
Speed Phenom Great Video I'm not surprised that the Fatal flaw of your 2020 Shelby GT500 is The Fuel Consumption since it has and has a Big Supercharged V8
Who wouldn’t like that rotary dial. That’s the future. I miss the stick but it’s time to go forward
Should have come optional with a stick. I believe they would sell alot more if they would have made a manual optional
I commend how you showcased this right from the get go with the drive in winter from Detroit Rock city to Cali and drag racing along the way 10.6 1/4 mile at Texas speedway? I’ve seen it run a 10.5 with slicks stock so quite impressive for a race track driver to run that 1/4 mile time without even a breakin 👍🏻 great channel lots knowledgeable content and real driving as per what the car was designed to do.
My hellcat was the same. Don’t really understand your complaint. Just got a 2020 gt500 and yes she’s a thirsty girl. But it’s smiles bee gallon. Not miles per gallon
Ur paying for the performance upgrade not the interior features imaging how much more the cost would be if they did upgrade the interior
Totally agree. It's still a comfortable Mustang, but your buying performance. From reading articles about the C8. The base seats are unconformable. If you want the better seats and matching seatbelt colors. You pay for that option. Ford should offer an optional interior upgrade. My guess is most would pass on that option.
Knock on everything on a maclean and guess what you'll find the whole damn thing being plastic too
Your tearing ass around Willow Springs in a factory built race car. Stop with the gas. When the track pack GT500 gets 3 mpg, are you going to take it back? Enjoy your blessed life.
Imagine buying a mustang and complaining about has mileage, unreal.
Using a tank in 30 minutes is fairly excessive
How many miles does it have now?
8,000 miles so far... It loves to be driven!!
All that plastic is to keep the weight down dude that car is heavy as hell but I totally get your point
Great video really like watching your channel. I'm on my 2nd Shelby and I don't know if I ever notice if it's really that much plastic lol .. The last true Shelby 2014 and the last manual stick shift .
Thomas Hall gt350s are still stick only
So you honestly thought you were about to get all that one off shit for cheap and then think you were going to get special interior knowing full well a fully loaded mustang GT is already near 60k
BTW Ford's comment to me on the plastic was similar to "We want all our cars to retain a specific image, the plastic is lightweight to lower the weight of the car more than other options available"
If I EVER splurge on a 2020 GT500, I'm definitely making sure I have carbon fiber replacement interior panels ready to go.... that, or opt for a faster 800HP S650 when it releases.
All the plastic? It’s not a Bentley or a Aston Martin.
It’s funny how it works. I have a 6.2l z06 as well as the 5.2l shelby. The zo6 gets much much much better gas mileage with even a liter more of displacement. Crazy.
Ironically how that the liter more displacement suddenly gets the same gas mileage as the 5.2 in the Camaro
I thought you were going to say no Manual Transmission... That’s a ton of fuel! Might be better with a tune?
You bought a supercharged car and you're complaining about gas
the whole reason it's so cheap is because it sacrifices quality for performance budget. and you can't really get anything performing better overall for the price
which is more special to you though, the 500 or the 350
He’s a 350 guy.
my 19 roush stage 3 gets around 22 to 24 mpg thruway and only 50 hp less
Wasn’t he going to sell this?
This is such a good car, and honestly for what you get it should be more expensive. Americans have a twisted view of what supercars should cost. This same kind of machine if made by a European automaker would be $150,000+ and no one would bat an eye. GET OVER THE PLASTIC A PILLAR PEOPLE.
