- ‘Peace On Earth’ (Hardcastle 2) is my all-time favorite Hardcastle track so I thought I would mix it with ‘If You Knew’ (Jazzmasters 4) to create an extended fusion of smooth jazz and rap. Hopefully you all will like it.
Inspired by ‘Peace On Earth’, Wisconsin rapper Lamontiz aka Kid Crab added autobiographical-themed lyrics over the track and named his newly-composed track ‘If You Knew’. He then sent it to Paul and Paul liked it enough to include it on Jazzmasters 4. Below are Paul’s comments from the Jazzmasters 4 CD liner notes. “February 2003, a package arrived on my desk from Wisconsin, USA and inside was a CD and a letter. It read "Hello Paul, I heard your album on the radio. It inspired me to write a rap over the track 'Peace on Earth'. It's a story about my childhood and my future dreams." So quite casually I put the CD in the player and waited to hear what had been done to my track. Within 30 seconds I was pleasantly suprised and began listening with amazement. This was working better than I could have ever imagined. Here was a guy that was telling a story about the unfortunate and sad things that had happened to him and his family since he was a kid, yet by the end of the track he was not feeling sorry for himself but was in the state of mind that even with all the hardships he had endured he was not prepared to give up on making a good life for himself and his family. I had the vocals sent over to England. Helen added some backing vocals. I mixed the track and decided it should be included on this album as a bonus track. Please take the time to listen to this story. It makes quite compelling listening. I call this Smooth Jazz rap.”

Peace may not be totally achievable in this life...However, that does not mean we shouldn't strive for it in any way possible! I plan on hammering home the love and peace messages to everyone as long as I can, because loving God and loving my brothers on this earth is one thing I was put on this earth to do! And we need peace now more than ever!

Paul’s work has such potential to be mixed with rap, I never even knew about this but saw “Inner Changes” especially as having a rap beat. Paul already kind of realized this himself by splicing that with “19”, but I hope another rapper decides to work with “Inner Changes” and sends it to Paul!
