      That’s an actual thing. But they say intermittent fasting (stabilizing insulin levels) zinc, fish oil, green tea and vitamin C actually prevents all that. When men go bald, it’s because our testosterone uses up a lot of those nutrients as well as when we nut, it drains all that out of bodies. So take ya vitamins and eat your meals and caloric drinks within a certain time frame 5-6 days a week

      Idk I have tried both, I am sure you can train to failure all the time if you can recover from it. For me I love the pump you get going to failure, but I rarely do it because my goal is to become proficient at the calistenics movements/skills and training to failure reduces the good practice I get. My recovery goes to hell when I train to failure more than like once every couple of weeks. Not saying training to failure doesnt work, just saying for me I see more progress and gains from leaving a few in the tank and hitting a bit more volume and frequency

    Absolutely brother!
    However you train, you have to balance intensity with recovery. This is the master key!
    Just as an example, you could do 3 sets of weighted chin-ups twice a week or 1 set every day at the same weight for similar gains.
    You'd recover from 1 set by the next day but it would take around 3 -4 days before you recover fully from 3 sets.

    I think I found a very interesting split on a bodybuilding site - full body workout, but one day you work your chest, shoulders, triceps, glutes and hams, the other day you work your back, rear delts, biceps and quads. Not conventional but it works for me, plus I got used to bodyweight workouts when the gyms closed.

    Thanx! I love the way you break down and explain things!
    *
    I am 58 and started training after 40 years at 56. After 2 years walking in the forest of injuries, I found that an aged mfcker need to advance slowly. Practically during the day doing little things. It works. With the balance, as you said.

    What happens if I do cardio on rest days? I'm asking it because I often skip rope and shadowbox during rest days, just working on my stamina without stressing my muscles.

    I train 3 days per weekanother 3 days I practice running like 5-10km (longer in future), and after some time i always need a break, cause my legs feel super weak to the point, that walking is somewhat cumbersome (hope i use correct word here, my english skill isn't that good :P).

    My left hip and knee got so sore from training upper lower 6 days a week with high volume on sprints, pistol squats, and lunges. I guess I'll be focusing on upper body for the next few weeks.

    David Goggins says there's no such thing as over training. Just under resting/recovering.

      @@Taophysique I never said you should be.
      You couldn't be. There's only one Goggins.
      It was just a different veiw on training and recovery. It's always interesting how people have different systems that work for them.
      Like Dorian Yates doing HIT training then somebody like Kai Greene doing High Volume training but both still getting jacked.
      There's people out there you'd think are definitely over training like Goggins, Ross Edgley and Cross fitters but then they are fine and smash events.

    But you didn’t cover if you do rest, how long should you rest? Can I do push-ups and pull-ups every other day and keep a rest in between?

  • @ienjoyapples
    @ienjoyapples 4 роки тому

    I do something physical 2-3 hours every day. The key is not doing strength training every single day. I alternate upper and lower body strength training mon-fri, then on the weekend I might do mobility training, movement training, cardio, or go for a long hike for a few hours. I never have nor do I want days where I just sit on my ass.

    I workout everyday i trained chest and arm by doing pushups and towel curl but i dont get fatigue its just my personality

  • @11219tt
    @11219tt 4 роки тому

    If I try to do 100 pull-ups a day but haven’t yet gotten to that number, but notice I used to do 5 reps before fatigue, but now I can do 8, is this a good metric to use for muscle growth?

    Personally I would cap it at 6 times a week. We all need a day to chill out. Fitness was never meant to engulf our lifestyle. It was meant to enhance it. At the same time, you could train every day as long as you’re smart with it. But just because you can, doesn’t necessarily always mean you should.
