You're not thinking like a senior citizen. Some of us are over 60, and once you get to that age, if my luggage can get me around the airport instead of the other way around, I don't give a snap how other people look at me. Actually I would just ride around with a smirk on my face and think at them, "Don't you wish you had one of these?"

My frequent carrier only allows 7kg cabin bag in economy class. This bag itself is already 7.5kg. How is it possible to put things inside? Unless I travel in business class?
I know how you feel. Jetstar in Australia only allows 150 grams for cabin luggage and will charge passengers $80 per gram in excess baggage fees if their wallet or keys weigh too much.

It is sized to fit in the overhead bin of most major airlines but if your don't have more than 10KG allowance you're out of luck as this luggage weighs in at almost 10KG

@@mmmmmmmmmmm10 not for the price. A good mobility scooter is like double the price. And going through an airport in one with all that it implies is hell... Plus, with partial mobility l, at least in my case, a scooter is too much. But if I use a cane or walker for too long my shoulder joints suffer from it.
I don't care that others see it as a toy. It's like straws. Abled people banned them because they saw them as a nuisance to the ecology, but many of us actually need them. (And good reusable ones aren't cheap for everyone... Plus carrying them etc etc.)
So, yeah, however others see it is none of our concern as long as it helps our needs.
And yes, you were rude, but it probably came from a place of ignorance. So no big deal, just ask questions next time instead of assuming that all disabled people live the same way.

Easy, you only travel with cabin luggage and only with airlines that allow web check-in so you don't have to approach the check-in desk and have your cabin luggage weighed... Jetstar in Australia only allow 7kg and I use this Airwheel case very regularly.

1) exceeds all weight limits, without being packed
