What was the point of evaluating bags that don’t comply with either weight or size restrictions for carryon bags?
There's no mention on the weight. With today's airlines many weight restrictions, it is advisable to get a lighter sturdy carry on luggage. Most carry on would last a lifetime if it's not check in. One other factor is the wheels. Most of the rubber wheels will wear off after about 3-4 years depend on usage. Companies like Samsonite does carry spare wheels for replacements.

Thanks for the information. I'm planning to travel internationally in one month and need a carry-on...a REAL carry-on. I don't want to check in any bags and risk delays or losses again. Air Canada height rule is 21.5" and they will not budge. Also they measure from handle to the bottom of the wheels. I found out that some people don't include the wheels--only the case as they say they are considering packing capacity. I would have appreciated more specifics on the measurements and confirmation of them meeting most airline standards. Thanks.
great reviews, but I think you need to show each of the chose bags fitting in to the "size frames" to show that they will be allowed on board.

No.1 is on sale on Amazon today! I’ve always loved Samsonite❤ my first luggage I bought at 19 yrs old , and I’m 66 yrs old! I go on their website and recently bought an oversized suitcase bc I would be gone for a month bearing gifts for fam and friends after not traveling for 4 years! Sooo I love Samsonite ❤
I agree!!! Samsonite so far has the best quality in regards to zipper, etc. I only buy samsonite since all my luggage break after 1 trip
Do NOT buy the wrangler, the fact that was listed as an option leaves me shocked and dubious of the other reviews lol. I bought it and REGRET IT. it doesn't spin well, the wheels are complete trash quality. The expandable handle is flimsy, it doesn't even have an expandable option for the main compartment. Zipper is OK, weight is light.
None of these suitcases meet the 22x14x9 dimensions required, almost airlines
Do you have recommendations for zipperless carry-on luggage?
I have the Freeform spinner carry-on, but it actually measures 23" by 15" by 10" so therefore I am concerned about trying to carry it on. I've just returned from Europe and got by for 2 weeks with a true carry-on sized TravelPro Maxlite 5 compact softside and a backpack. I was able to do laundry at a friend's along the way.
I read a few people say this already. Seems like an insane miss by Samsonite. I don't know what they were thinking.

I have the Samsonite Freeform. I really love the bag. I think that my favorite feature is how well it maneuvers - especially taking an underground in the UK or running to make plane connections when the first plane was late. It's also fairly light at about 6.5 lbs. (That's an important feature for a number of carriers.) It packs very well, too. I went to London and Scotland for 4 weeks last summer with it and a backpack for my computer. I fly British Air, and they did not think it was too large. That airline is definitely more liberal than KLM/Air France or Lufthansa. For those airlines, I take another Samsonite that is bit smaller and lighter. (The Samsonite Ziplite 5 from Kohls.) Every ounce matters when I fly those airlines. That bag maneurvers as well, and doesn't hold quite as much. It's about 6 lbs. 2oz. I'm waiting for a bag that weighs less, but holds as much. The July bag might be good. I wish that I could see that one in person.
Carry ons mustn’t exceed 7 kg. The luggage empty weight is crucial, so it can carry heavier baggages. Some carry ons are heavy even when empty.

@@laurencehyde2168 Just my luck. I made that comment right before a trip to Costa Rica and they weighed our bags on the way back. We had to throw stuff away from one of our bags.

I bought my Samsonite 2016, still new but problem so heavy. Materials is good thick, I put in scale without Anything inside omg, it's almost 15 kg already, when I put my clothes, I always pay extra charges in the Airport because of over baggage 😅😅😅
The Samsonite thing is a bit exaggerated here. Don't forget that suitcases made of polypropylene get scratched very quickly, even if they can withstand a lot. As cheaper manufacturers also make cases from this material, you may be able to save a lot of money. However, there may be differences in the quality of the wheels, the telescopic rod and the zip - you should be aware of this. Otherwise, I would personally recommend suitcases made of matt and ribbed polycarbonate if you want a high standard.

I have a fear of my luggage getting lost so I only use a carry-on. Even when I go to visit my family in Munich once a year (I am from Texas), I only take a 20 inch hard-shell carry-on. A 20 inch carry on for 9 days in Germany.

Soooo I hats the comfiest bed?? I have been searching for this for over 20 years. The best I have found so far (unexpectedly) was at a $21/night Airbnb in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. It was a really old Serta Royal with old connected innerspring system. Had lots of pee stains and the whole 9 yards but it was surprisingly the best sleep I have ever had on a bed. I fell in love but unfortunately that model is discontinued and so my search continues. Any suggestions? Anyone? 🎉😂

I found this informative, but you had the number 1 suitcase listed as a carryon suitcase, but it was listed as a 28” suitcase which is definitely not a carryon!
This isn't a real review. This video is just an advertisement regurgitating the basic specs of these luggage cases that anyone can't find online.
For me the ideal bag has not yet been designed. It looks like additional airport security will be with us forever. There should be a way of easily separating laptops toiletries and power banks for security as well as accommodating shoes and belt on the conveyor belt. So Samsonite with these features would be amazing. Am I asking too much?
newer / upgraded airports are installing tech so that these items do not need to be unpacked. Just did 6 weeks in Sth America/UK/Canada and only had to take out laptops etc in Nth America.

Okay... The Beis Carry-On was too big for Lufthansa So, I finally got the ivory Hanke 20" Carry-On (not clamshell).
Question. The Sampsonite is 23 inches. Will that work on AA to Europe. They say 22 inches.

Very annoying music
The Swiss Gear is really nice, but the handle and wheels make it useless. It lasted 5 trips and the tiny screws in the handle came out.
I have had my Swiss Gear carry-on for almost 10 years. I fly regularly.
I am flying out tomorrow, and I think it's time to replace it.

I bought my Swiss Gear at TJ Maxx, loved it but on the way back from Amsterdam to US the handle refused to telescope, Dutch TSA yelled at me as if it was my fault it wouldn't fit through the Xray machine. Had to take everything out (thankfully I had packing cubes) push the little button in on the tube from the inside. I've rigged it now and used it on a recent ski trip (carry on) but it will be retired. Looking at the Samsonite. Disappointed in the Swiss Gear b/c Ilove the brand normally.
Don't buy charger port luggage it is not allowed on some International flights

Because no one needs a charging port on their suitcase. Anyone who has gone on a trip outside their home will know to carry a charging cord and a small power bank in an accessible pocket in/on their bag that they carry on as their “personal item”

I don't get it, does American not have weight limit on carry on luggage, 7 pounds is 3.2kg, no way is it consider lightweight. That is half the allownace gone. My first carry on luggage weight 5kg, yes, it is solid as a rock, but no body want to carry rocks in their travel.

I fly about 80 hours a month. I'm an airline pilot, so granted, I don't check very often. Briggs and Riley is the best brand out there, even though they're pricey.
I go through normal bags in a year or two. Briggs lasts me at least 5 years. Their replacement or repair warranty, even for flight crews, is the best in the industry. Crew Outfitters is a popular bag among crews and are very durable, but they're heavy and lack a good warranty. Briggs are the best option in my opinion.
I have been using B&R for over ten years already. Rimowa also nice, its more pricey than B&R.

You didn’t mention the weight which is important to women
Important to everyone as most airlines have or are in the process of enacting weight restrictions on carry on luggage, after all with more and more people forgoing checked luggage they have to make their money somehow. 7 kg is roughly equivalent to 15.4 lbs, not a lot of available weight for clothing and other necessities.
