Jordan Tai Agreed, I always tell my kid (who is part of this group) that in all honesty it’s 20% talent & 80% hard work.. yes the kids are indeed talented each in their own ways, but it’s also literally hundreds of hours of rigorous training leading up to it.
drink water not alcohol I hear ya, its always discouraging to see people younger than you succeed at the thing you want to succeed at but the reality is that its comes as a result of immense dedication and sometimes costs your health, they just happen to be very young. Sometimes it takes time and maturity to reach that level. Its actually very very rare to see this skill level and dedication at their ages! Let me tell you right now that jealousy is poisonous to the soul and can bring your whole day down for no reason at all. Find a local dance group to support your passions and it becomes easier to spend time practicing with like-minded people than being upset at others lol.
On top of that, this is literally the FIRST time that the majority of these kids have been in a competition. Lots of first timers in this bunch, that’s what made it even more special

no, I know firsthand as my daughter is in this set.. they are just regular kids that go to school during the day and dance a few hrs after school each week at The Lab. Leading up to this performance, they worked their butts off even on school nights til almost 9pm and full days on the weekdays. Even though these kids werent professional dancers, they were all very passionate & loved being at The Lab. We were also very fortunate at the time to have THE Sienna Lalau and other amazing teachers like Andrew Elam teach our kids. The Lab has moved on and no longer offers kids lessons but we always cherish the special we had there.
