Did you see how during Dionysius (die on eye suss) RM and Jin fell backwards off the table to be replaced by V and Jimin being flipped onto it. Absolutely flawless, trustworthy and amazing 😲
Honestly there r so many details in this performance. You wil literally find something new everytime you watch it, which is why I have rewatched it so many times. They r gonna have to do the same to catch all the details!! Out of this world our guys are 🤯

South Korean Award nights put American, England Australia and any other country to shame. We all need to lift our game but even if we did, I doubt any group or performer could pull off what BTS does. BTS just won 6 awards at MAMA this year including 3 more daesangs for Album of the Year for Proof, Artist of Year, and MAMA platinum award, now bringing their total number of daesangs to 71, the most for any kpop artist. Suga and J-Hope won too and I'm so proud of them and J-Hope had an incredible performance.
And Jhope was so sweet to his Jin hyung. And Jin talked to ARMY. We miss you Jin take care.

I still remember when I watched this award show real time. My breath was completely taken away by Jimin’s solo performance. He is so ethereal and mesmerizing. I felt emotional watching it. Jimin just embodies art. I just haven’t seen anyone like him in the industry. He is one of a kind. I also loved JKs solo, as well as the mind blowing dance break for Dionysus.
For real, the first time I watched jimin performance I cried so much, because I was turning into an army and watching that just made me so emotional😭💜

Hey. Thanks for this. Tonight is bittersweet for ARMYs. BTS just won Icon of the Year Award (among others) at MAMA 2022 and only j-hope accepted the award. But then he called Jin on the phone and on Jin's speech, he said, "I won't be making public appearances for a while." Been crying since and you guys and this video made me smile. So, thank you. Jimin has majored in contemporary dance but he also learned other forms of dancing as well like hip hop and he has found a way to combine them all together along with his Marshall arts background.And all of that combined makes a very unique form of dancing which is just so beautiful to see.❤The first time I saw Jimin perform this I was completely mesmerized Iwas in complete awe of his talent.
I'm always confused when I see people saying Jimin "majored" in contemporary dance. He did not MAJOR in any dance. "Majoring" is a university term. He majored in Business and Entertainment Education. He went to HIGH school at a performing arts school, where he took classes in contemporary dance and focused mostly on it. But he did not "major" in it.

Do you have a source for that information? I have never heard him say that before, about the minors part in particular. I know Jimin has spoken about taking ballet classes in high school, but never mention of a 'minor' in it.
Korean high schools do not have specific majors like you are trying to say. This is speaking from experience. They have tracks you can take typically, such as STEM or Liberal Arts. Those are usually the two students pick from. Jimin went to a Liberal Arts school and then took dance classes, focusing mostly on contemporary, also taking other classes like ballet and hip-hop.
You have probably heard the other members mention their 'track/major/course' as well, such as Suga always mentioning he was a Liberal Arts student. Sometimes the word is translated to 'major', but that word does not translate to what the word 'major' means in English or to an English viewer. It is more of 'course' or 'track' since it is not specific like a college major would be.

Yes I mean the track he was in, not a college degree. I’m a native English speaker and in my high school if you specialized in a subject it was called having a “major” in it, even though it didn’t involve getting a degree. Lol maybe my school district was just strange. So when I say “minor” I don’t mean he has a degree in it.
According to the website for Jimin’s high school, the school teaches modern dance, Korean dance, and ballet. Students choose one type of dance as their “major”/전공 and do the other two as a “minor”/부전공

Jimin is the definition of art itself. I cannot take my eyes off of him when he performs. Everything he does is captivating and beautiful. His voice is amazing and lures you into the performance 🥰✨️
Taehyung (V) use to do that deep growl/gritty voice a lot when they first started. He is basically in charge of reaching the lowest tones. If you want to hear more, you guys have to listen to "Jump." It's even become apart of a BTS inside joke. It died down a little, but you will still hear the members sing Tae's low part of "Jump" because he introduces himself (his stage name V) in the song, and everytime anyone use to say "V" they would all start singing (trying to sing in his low tone) his part. Jungkook and Jhope still do from time to time, but I think Jungkook has made it a personal mission to keep it alive.
You guys also have to watch "Spine Breaker." Listening to it you will hear V's deep gritty voice. They themselves made the MV (basically a home made video style.) It was a Run! BTS episode challenge. The MV is hillarious and the song beat it pumped and lit. But in BTS fashion, the song is basically a serious scolding to youth.
Basically in their earlier songs V had many times where he has that low gritty tone almost a growl, but more recently we don't hear it as often. 🥺 You heard bits of it in "We are Bulletproof," and in the sick break in the middle/endish of "Dionysus" is "N.O." If you watch the original MV for "N.O.", you'll hear V literaly growling in the background especially in the end. It's the same era as "No More Dream" their debut song, but "N.O" is very interesting and as always tells a story.
YES! I love V's growl. And hey, he's a baritone to the rest of the vocal lines' tenors, so it makes total sense he'd get the low parts. (If I had one tiny criticism of current BTS, it would be that they don't seem to take advantage of V's bari range as much as they used to.)
We hear a lot of lower Jin and Jimin in their earlier songs, too-- JImin's stage presentation early on was very "tough guy from Busan," so even though he hits the high notes (like in Boy in Luv), he's got a lot more grit going on.
And Jin in Dionysus is just insane... he goes from that loooowww "Jjuk deurikyeo" in the pre-chorus with RM to that "siren" rock scream which, when I first heard it, I didn't even realize was *human.* Epic.

MMA 2019 was one of the iconic BTS stages ever. Love it Specially Dionysus and the solo stages. I particularly love Jimin's solo stage and the fact that he live performed it altho he had the choice of pre recording it makes me awe. Awesome job. 💜

The part with the horses was actually pre-recorded in an empty stadium so they wouldn't get stressed by the audience, that's why one second the horses are there, then when they start singing they're not there anymore. The beginning of Persona and Mikrokosmos were also pre-recorded, and Jungkook's solo perfomance in the water as well. It's normal for these type of award shows to show some pre-recorded performances otherwise it wouldn't be possible to do all of this live
And I believe the beginning of RM's Persona was also prerecorded.

I consider this their biggest, most extravagant performance in an award show. other performances were really great as well but i find this particular performance their biggest! It was when they swept all the big awards! Super proud of them, They represent the greek gods. Jimin solo part is so iconic to me I love when he showcases his contemporary. For the symbolism part in Dionysus, Taehyung is Apollo (god of the sun and beauty), Jin Athena (goddess of war and wisdom. Yes, it's the Trojan horse ), Jimin Artemis (goddess of the moon and hunt, twin sister of Apollo - V and Jimin wear the same earring), Suga Hephaestus (god of fire and metalworking), Jungkook Poseidon (god of the sea and earthquakes), J-Hope Zeus (god of thunder and justice) and RM Dionysus (god of wine and theater, one of his attribute is the thyrsus, the wand that RM grab before the song). Every time a member appears, you have a light that come down symbolising that every member is a star and all together we can see that they form the constellation named "Northern Crown". The story is that represent the crown given by Dionysus to the Cretan princess Ariadne when he married her and set by her in the heavens. Ariadne is the princess that help Theseus escape the maze of the Minotaur (Ariadne could be a representation of ARMY helping and guiding BTS).

Jungkook is doing a lot of adlips and adds a certain flavor to their live performances. He has perfect pitch. Oh and Hobi (J-hope) also does a lot of adlips.

No matter how many times I watch Jimin's solo performance, I always get goosebumps and butterflies in my stomach, he is the greatest dancer in kpop, and he has won national awards for his dancing. Seeing him perform solo at these awards shows since 2016 with snippets of Lie (and blindfolded) should be mandatory, his dancing captivates everyone, leaving all spectators and idols present totally shocked.
His performance is goosebumps and butterflies worthy! What you might not know and others might not know dancing with a prop is one of the hardest dances challenges ever! He did it with NO mistakes!

I am an OT7 but we should give credit where credit is due. It is not always Jimin that hits the high notes. We should admit how Jin was labeled as the SILVER VOICE. There was never a time this guy failed and whether it’s low or high he always killed it. He has the most stable voice amongst the vocal line aside from JK. That is why for the past years ARMY keeps on reiterating to Bighit to give Jin the lines and exposure he truly deserves! We will surely miss this pure soul guy! Am alrealy crying😭😭😭😭

Indeed! Mochi has very distinct voice but that doesn't mean he is only doing the high notes. Actually, i feel bad for Jin sometimes. Before, it was only Jk doing back vocals and high notes. But now everyone can do it. Jin can definitely hit high notes insanely. Jimin voice is very noticable because among all vocal lines, his voice or tone is very unique and he dances well too. V's falsetto's to me hit so hard, i mean omg V. His making me weak. Lastly, no one can deny Jungkook's beautiful voice, he can do all types on range, yes, that's why he is the main vocal. He harmonizes the other singer perfectly without him stealing the attention from the one who is singing. That is the power of a good singer. He has the most stable voice. His voice doesn't crack or out of tune even he is tired in dancing. Period. Fight me if you want but no one can level his voice stability. Again, all of them can sing high notes and falsetto. These reactors need a lot of lesson and i think they should watch RUN BTS episodes, this will help them familiarized our tannies natural voices.
During live performances, you have to truly appreciate Jungkook's vocals. And not just his vocals. The runs, the adlibs, the way he harmonizes with the others, he is truly a vocal genius. And he does more vocal work in lives as well as in the studio more than the others. It's just a shame that most people don't acknowledge that or his hard work.
On another note, can we just appreciate Hobi's stage presence during the performance, especially towards the end of Dionysus. Like, I had goosebumps when he was doing the last verse and you can see the intensity. Just wow.
Yes he is a vocal genius💜❤️I don't know why people only talks about jimins high note. Jk has such a beautiful and powerful voice but no body pays attention to it as a jk bias I feel very sad😔
@@jungkookie4601 Facts! I mean yes, Jimin has unique vocals and he does hit the high notes extremely well. ALL of the vocal line have gorgeous singing voices (although JK's vocals resonates much MUCH more to me). It just saddens me that 8 out of 10 times, only the three (Jimin, Taehyung and Jin) keeps getting praises from reactors (although JK gets praises from actual vocal coaches) and these reactors sleeping on Jungkook's gorgeous vocal range. Same within the comments section. I mean, where are JK biases at??? Show some love for JK

And all army who saw them say they are more beautiful than the footage. 0.0. Like how? MMA is one of the Korean award shows yes. TXT members were shown watching BTS. =0p The other band that was shown i am not familiar with. My memory is not that good. 😅 This was so fun. They make us smile all the time thus, we love them. Jimin is my ult bias followed by Suga my wrecker. Jimin is the contemporary dancer in Black Swan that is his song as army likes to say. He slayed that and i think the 2020 MMA is were they do an all new Black Swan performance. Hope eventually u will watch that too. I hope u watch the MVs for the songs that have them, which were in the MMA 2019 award show stage. BTS love each other they family. They adore performing. Right now they just focusing on solo work. So it will be some time before u get to see them as a group in concert. I wonder if u will watch Yet to come in Busan concert they did recently for World Expo in Busan 2030. Also, u have to see JHope's solo stage in Chicago. U can find the whole stage on YT. He is the 3rd rapper and the main dancer of the group. He just came out with his 1st solo album. so from Mikrokosmos up until the real horse on stage during Dionysus are all pre-recorded except Jimin's solo performance.
Dionysus has a dance practice for this MMA event. You will see how they are perfect during their practices too.
Each song played during the intros of each member is a BTS song starting from their debut song No More Dream followed by Danger then I Need You, Fire, Save Me, Fake Love then Dionysus. The break with the powerful synchronised choreo on the long table is their song N.O.
So this performance had 12 songs.
High background vocals particularly in the section during the table hand/ arm choreo is Jin.
Then JK hits the high notes in the final bit of the song too.
Even in their very first MMA performance, BTS already were impressive. They are all perfectionists and kept working hard to create masterpieces over the years. The Taylor Intro Guide did mention their discipline and how hard they trained and practised.
You will hear V's gritty sound in their early albums with songs like Boyz with Fun, Attack on Bangtan, Danger, Jump, N.O. BTS B sides showcase so many vocal harmonies like Just One Day, Let Go, Let Me Know, For You, Louder Than Bombs, Butterfly and many many more songs.
Jimin is called "The God of performance" for a reason, he always make our jaw dropped by his dancing, signing and everything. King of kpop 🫶🔥

Fun fact during their solo parts all the members had their parts pre-recorded. Jimins part was already ready to go but he decided on performing it live instead of using his pre-recording because he could not decline entertaining a crowd when the opportunity came. His part was the only part that was actually live infront of an audience. I love the dionysus dance-break as well I remember when this was performed live everyone was in shock

Ya actually it was prerecorded but they still performed for the live crowd in the same outfit as the diyanosis. Expect jk everyone did perform live. I saw videos n fancams
hobi did his part live too!! There’s fancams where you can see different angles. I think only JK was prerecorded but he insisted on performing in the dark for armys

@@amandamichelle9426 Those parts were pre-recorded I mean some of the membrs do go out there and performed in the dark to the crowd but the majority all opted to showing their pre-recorded version. RM and jimin were the only ones that their live parts were shown to everyone that was at home and the audience present. I forgot about RM but during their behind the scenes he mentioned how he made a mistake and how he was happy the camera cut in that moment
tae used to do the growling thing a lot during their early days, if you listen to their older songs you'll definitely hear more of it!
Jimin's THIS performance was EPIC
49:19 This style of dancing is what J-Hope is a complete expert in. He won a national award for his popping skills before he even joined BigHit/Hybe and BTS. He has been an absolute ace in pop-lock-dance since his early teens! If you have time you can see more of these dance skills in his freestyle "Hope on the Streets"-videos :) It is those videos that makes ARMYs claim he has no bones!
They are true performers, you cannot see them slack in any live performances! They give it their 100% in every single details. I guess you guys could see that at this point and i am so proud of BTS where they are now only good things to come!!

The Fact That I did watch this like hundred times and every time i watched it is like the first time!!!! Do you understand how much power they hold to have more than 30minutes for a Show award!!!! THEY ARE LEGENDS NOW!!! but I still remember in 2015 ARMY were fitting with all other fandoms, haters, the whole world just to give them a few minutes of stage!!!! LIKE EVERY SINGLE MINUTE ON STAGE, they deserved!! They deserve every Award the have won and every single goal they have pass!!!! SO YEA!!! I don't know if anyone has mentioned yet but the hand sign that BTS ends their songs with can be looked at 2 different ways.
1) it goes back to the beginning with "We are Bulletproof Proof" as finger gun.

Also the 7 lights before Dionysis represents the 7 members but creates the constellation of the crown which Dionysis gave to his wife.

Actually V, Jin,Suga,Jhope performed live but their outfits were for dionysus, you can see in the fan cam of MMA 2019, Their performance outfits and outfits shown on screen are different

Edit: There's a video showing the difference fan chants for every BTS song that has one. That's how I was able to learn them for when I attended PTD concert in LA. It's so much fun to do live and it makes you feel like you're a part of something magical. I got chills hearing these chants in person.

for Dionysus opening, they are shows everything that related with Dionysus story - All boys solo opening stage represents the God of Olympus. Tae is the sun god of Apollo, the twin brother of the moon goddess, Artemis that portrayed by Jimin (fun fact: to make detail, Jimin and Tae share their earings on this performance). Jin is Ares the god of war that been known with his horse of war. Suga is Hades (the fire is an underworld fire) or some says he is Hephaestus (the god of fire). Jungkook is Poseidon, the god of ocean. Jhope is Zeus, the laser when he dancing described Zeus thunder weapon, RM is Dionysus, the stick that he bring at the stage is Thyrsus, Dionysus's staff that covered by ivy vines -the light bulb that goes down one by one on each solo performance, it formed Corona Borealis constellation lines. it's a crown belong Dionysus's mortal wife that she wore on their wedding day. after his wife died, he put that crown up to sky and make it as star constellation to commemorate his wife.
- the girls with flower bucket represents Dionysus female follower called Maenad, who always dancing n throw a flower when they are accompanied Dionysus - the giant horn is represent Dionysus wine cup called a drinking horn. It looks like a giant horn
- the horses is represent a Thracian horses that herd by thracian horseman clan to
worshipped Dionysus
- the panther balloon is represent one of Dionysus sacred animal (beside panther is a tiger, bull n serpent). in BTS Mama 2019 performance, BTS use a huge serpent/snake statue to replace the panther when they perform Dionysus!!

BTS owned this stage, and every other stage. They deserve their being called Kings. You tend to forget this is an awards show. I feel sympathy for the awards presenter coming after this performance. This is the epitome of a jawdropping presentation that is 100% impossible to beat. ❤

They literally gave 150% for Dionysus and you can find videos of them collapsing in their chairs when the lights went out. And then they won all the grand prizes and had to walk back and forth from the stage through the entire award show.
The show was planned so well for them to give it all in the end.
Mikrokosmos and all the intro solos (except Jimin's) were pre recorded.
They actually have JKs amazing reaction to Jimin's dance solo in one of their Bangtan Bombs. They didn't know he was going to do it live. But this also meant that Jimin probably had to run from his own solo, change outfit and hair and get really to dance and sing his a** off. Poor boy had trouble walking afterwards.
In conclusion: the US is scared of BTS stealing the thunder, because they know they'll burn the stage down (FIIIIIIIIRE 🔥) to the ground and leave nothing for the other performers.
I'm looking forward to MMA 2020. I also highly recommend all the MAMA performances. They are also incredible.

Fun fact it took them 3 months to plan and practice and perfect this whole stage, the remixes you heard for each members' intro were there songs from each era, this PERFROMANCE was perfeomed at the end of the year MAMA 2019 held in November (end of the month) this would have opened up to their Map of the soul : 7 era and the MOTS7 tour (which unfortunately was cancelled due to the pandemic) their seven years journey wrapped up into this stage that's why they went all out. (Now we know this was supposed to be the last award show before the tour and then they'd have gone to the hiatus but due to pandemic things changed)
Anyways so this took 3 months to perfect and this was inspired by greek gods and greek mythology they were sitting in their thrones the 7 of them were 7 greek gods. And those 7 lights together make up a constellation related to the mythology. BTS are the show closers that's why they get the longest run time for performing in the show.
Jimin definitely hits the high notes sỗ perfectly but for many Ad-libs that we hear is by Jungkook and he harmonizes a lot of time and don’t forget about Jin too he has such amazing voice he also hits the high notes a lot of time also V has the ability to hit the high notes and harmonize so beautifully
So in conclusion, Vocal lines have amazing vocal range 💜

All vocal lines doing the high notes here. Not just jimin. You can hear Jin at the middle part of dionysus and Jungkook's voice at the last 5secs doing that high note. Tae contributed harmony too. Summer has a really good ears, she can caught adlibs and harmonization in between the song. I am amaze you can't still recognize their voices behind the camera after doing many reaction videos and watching alot of their videos. But of course yeah, someday you'll realize who's who. You can keep up ✌️

Among many reaction videos of others i just like their reaction video and one or two others bcz they are unbiased. The reason is they are still figuring out.

@@diamondurdunovels4676 Its honestly not their fault I mean v and jimin have very distinctive voices and theri voices are easiest to distinguish out of the entire vocal line. Like them, I could tell jimin and v's voice from a mile away and they hear jimins voice more because again he has such a high voice that you CANNOT NOT hear him. I for the longest time struggled to identify jin and jungkook. Mind you, there also getting used to the memebrs. They're not as deep into the fandom as we are, I mean ive been part of the fandom since 2019 and even now im still learning new things. They clearly love all the members and its okay for them to have a bias
I mean, i always said we should be comprensive, but if they dont know something, reading comments is definitely the best choice, so, why them didnt know was Jin in Dionysus when a lot were saying it to them, and talking abt Jin's range?
