Unpopular opinion - I don't want BTS to do a concert, tour, or any big performances when they all return in 2025. I want them to take time for themselves, to spend time with their families, friends, and with each other. I'm okay if they do lives and run bts.

    • @crystalsnow1138
      @crystalsnow1138 7 місяців тому +265

Trust me they aren't touring in 2025, it takes awhile for a tour to happen. To plan everything and rehearse takes months, not to mention they will probably record and release new music first. I expect a world tour will happen in 2026 though. I understand fans wanting BTS to rest and spend time with their families/friends, but these guys are workaholics and they don't like to keep the fans waiting especially when they've been away for so long. I think it's all up to them. If they want to start working right away they should be able to, if they want to take time to rest that's okay too. All I know is that the first concert after their service is going to be so special and a once in a lifetime opportunity.

      I agree!
I think later in 2026 or maybe even early 2027 is soon enough for a tour.
They need time for themselves as a group and with family/friends before they jump back in to a heavy schedule (maybe even take that trip Tae talked about)

Unpopular opinion, BTS spoils ARMYs way too much
With songs, choreos, hidden messages, letters, fan songs, pre-recorded albums/videos for enlistment period, gifts, over the top Festa celebrations, dedications, non-stop content, random long lives, the intimacy they talk to us with, among other things
Like the other fandoms dont even get the tip of the iceberg that we get without even asking
(Im perfectly fine with it as long as the boys aren't burning themselves out/over exhausting themselves while doing it)

Agree. Some ARMYs are self-entitled that they forget to be grateful that there are new releases despite their "hiatus". I also agree with Boracity that BTS should take proper time in releasing albums and songs. This will help them avoid burnout when creating songs. It hurt when Suga and RM said in previous FESTA that their "squeezing" out ideas for songs and they are having difficulty in getting inspiration to create new songs. 😮‍💨

I agree and I also think there’s some Army’s who takes everything BTS does for us for granted. I don’t think some people within the fandom realizes that a lot of the things BTS does for us, they aren’t obligated to do at all. But they do it anyway because they love and care about us and their craft so much.
We’re getting new content, new music, new merch, etc, nearly every week and some people are STILL demanding more from them 💀…Like what more could you possibly want?!? I swear some Armys need to learn how to be more grateful because one day all of this will be a thing in the past that we’ll reminisce about and they’ll wish that they appreciated it only when it becomes no more.

I'll answer for myself - it's just not the same. It's like watching Olympics final game with your country's team participating 1) live or 2) a day later 😄 it's nice but that very thrill isn't there bc you already saw spoilers on Twitter and it's already kinda passed. I love feeling the realness of the moment, just a personal thing I guess

    • @Chrissi_Interlude
      @Chrissi_Interlude 7 місяців тому +11

Idk I think the experience of watching something live exceeds watching it after the fact, that goes for anything like sports games or performances. There’s something about seeing something happen in real time, rather than a pre-recording, which would arguably be much easier to do. Take Jin’s comeback live, for example, nothing could have stopped me from watching it live, yes it can be watched later, but after 18 long months you WANT to see him in front of you, unedited and unfiltered. (Which post-livestreams often are, which is not a bad thing, but it leaves you curious about the sudden censorship)
Add to that the element of surprise and the personal conversational nature of BTS livestreams, it feels more genuine that way ig lol. I’ve missed plenty of lives and I’m not hurt by it, though watching it back can sometimes feel like third-wheeling, or much of what they discuss is no longer relevant (ie discussing a project that has yet to release at the time of the live). But I totally get it, personally that’s what I love about the streaming platforms, that the content can always be watched back and more than once.

Unpopular opinion to this 2.0: don’t let K-fans opinions dictate everything. Lots of (but not all of) them are petty and believe they deserve more, even though they are more spoiled than all other regions. International fans exist and they aren’t as worried about if idols speak their minds, eat, or date. It ain’t normal when you have to realize your idol poops just like everyone else. (Yes, that is an unsettling comment about idols in Japan and it frightens.) If that’s not a factor in your mind as a fan, you have no right telling giving idols any advice on how to better their craft.

Yeah exactly. Black Swan was also my first preference when I read they were gonna use a BTS song. But given the context of the scene where it was used and the fact that the point of these string quartet covers is to use the most recognisable pop songs for a surprise element, Dynamite was the perfect pick. I've seen so many reactors who I don't think are army recognise Dynamite while watching. I don't think they could've recognised Black Swan that way.

My unpopular opinion: there is a shockingly large portion of this fandom who either are edgelords and don't like fun to the point that BTS listened to them (which they never do thankfully) it would actually limit them artistically. There is always such a huge concentration of "BTS has changed" "I miss the old BTS" "They've sold out" "Why is there no message anymore? They're losing their authenticity!" any time BTS has an upbeat or positive song as that title track, they don't pay attention to the b-sides, they don't understand that songs that make you feel happy or just as important and meaningful as the ones that make you feel sad or angry. They also, completely hypocritically, never seem to notice when songs that fit their style don't have much of a message either, neither fire nor permission to dance were that complex in the message department and they didn't need to be, but you don't see people accusing them of selling out after one. Just SAY it's not your genre or taste, they haven't changed or sold out or lost their way just because YOU don't like it.

But if BTS never evolved musically, they'd grow stale and it would become boring for listeners. I'm about to enter my sophomore year, so I'm still new to the fandom, but I love their old stuff while not getting hung up about songs in English during the pandemic. BTS pulled off amazing things that had never been done before and the songs in English are just very enjoyable mood boosters. And the solo projects are a great way for the members to show off their individual tastes. I find some more easily digestible/accessible than others. However, I'll still listen to the other ones -- just not as often.

Unpopular opinion: There is no good reason to compare other artists, groups, idols to BTS. Their unique start, progress, and success sets them apart as unduplicatable unicorns in the industry. And while BTS IS a global benchmark for boy bands, it's not the fans that should be doing the benchmarking. That's for entertainments co's and their artists/idol groups to do (TRY to do, anyway). Constantly comparing, especially in a mean spirited or negative way, does more harm that good for the subjects of the comparison, when usually it's the FANS that act out and who people have the real issue with. NO ONE has what BTS has built with their blood, sweat, and tears until now: A level of autonomy, $$$, staff resources, company resources, wide-ranging & constant opportunities, unbelievable support inside & outside the co, security, seeming unlimited expansion of IP, music/production crews of the highest level, and a MASSIVE, AMAZING FANBASE. What other idol or group has any of this? How can anyone possibly be held to BTS' standard? If any group or idol had the option to have even a fraction of what BTS has, they'd jump all over it to make their dream come true. But no one is BTS. There is no *next* BTS. There is only BTS and everyone else.

Follow up unpopular opinion: there are people who are/were in this fandom that don't want BTS to be happy or successful and thus I can't call them Army- because how can you call yourself a fan of someone you don't want to live well? There are the people who wish BTS were underdogs forever because they want to be a fan of a cool niche thing that no one has heard of and hate that BTS has become "mainstream" in a sense. Like? They were broke and constantly living in fear that they'd be disbanded at any second, why would you WANT that for them?
And there's also people, particularly fans of Yoongi, who are so attached to the music that they made in the darkest most hopeless points in their life that they want them to make it again and again. I love that music, it has comforted me in my darkest times and I admire them for how honest they allowed themselves to be- but I will be at my happiest, if they never feel low enough to make that kind of music again, because going to that dark place, constantly reuminating on it and not continuing with your life is not healthy. I never want ANYONE to feel that low, sad, helpless or self-destructive, I would never wish it on anyone, let alone so I can get music out of it.

This is so true, especially the part about Yoongi. What is wrong with people? Do they want him to stay angry, lost and damaged all his life? I'm always so happy when I see him more goofy and smiley now, and it reflects in his music - that's what he does
Yesterday, I was watching an album reaction to RPWP and some comments were literally bashing Yoongi for "not evolving with his sound", "doing the same Korean instrument songs all the time", "having no artistry", "being stuck at one song" and so on. I was so mad to read all that. This isn't even true at all but they act all mighty and smarter than everyone because they like edgy stuff. His music is a part of himself, it's personal and raw. How dare people tell him how to feel or what to write?
Some people are just salty over their success and it's so annoying. I just want them to be as happy as they can

My opinion will be very unpopular, but here it is: contrary to what Army believes, I think BTS do care about getting awards especially RM. Yes they genuinely love music and they like to express themselves through all genres, not necessarily mainstream just to please everybody. They always show Army their passion by creating different musical arts. They do not make music with the goal of getting awards, for sure.
But I actually believe they like getting them, and are still aiming for some to this day. Awards in a way show them how their music is recognized, appreciated and loved (by people who vote for them). It shows them how far their music can reach. And as Asians, getting western validation through awards (again, not saying they need them and definitely make music with this goal in mind), somehow gives them pride, it confirms their position as BTS even in the west, whether through music or influence that they have. Especially after they come back from military, awards will give them even more reassurance of how they are still very much loved by Army.
As an old(er) Army, this is just my opinion, I think we should not be complacent and think that they do not regard awards so highly and all they want is make music. Yes they do care, and we always need to support them in anyway we can so they can always get their ‘flowers’ and rewards for the abundant love they show us.

    my unpopular opinion:
War Of Hormone isn’t misogynistic and it was unnecessary for Namjoon to apologize for it. now don’t get me wrong, i like that he took the time to seek out advice on how women should be appropriately treated (honestly i feel like every man on earth should do that), but the main issue surrounding WOH isn’t the lyrics, it’s the people that lack the willingness to understand blatant satire. the song was clearly meant to portray the feelings that many teens (mostly males) go through when they are developing and going through puberty. it was obvious to anyone who actually paid attention to what was said and what was occurring during the mv. like the over exaggerated gestures to impress the girl, the sarcastic ways they delivered the lyrics, the unserious and playful nature, etc. throughout the mv, the members who were objectifying the girl get rejected and at the very end the girl chooses the member that respected and cared the most about her and her wants.
a lot of men nowadays think that being obnoxious and arrogant is what’s going to get a girls attention when in reality, most women like a man that’s humble, kind hearted, and considerate and imo the mv perfectly captured that.

The most misogynistic lyrics in that entire song were "Women are equations, men solve them" and "Women are the best gift", which, while simplistic, are really not that offensive... besides, I personally enjoy flirty, physically oriented songs so long as their view isn't presented as universally correct - and it isn't, it's the mind of a horny teen boy. I mean come on, Hoseok raps about popping a pimple, how are people thinking that this song was meant to enforce the patriarchy?

I first saw 'Dynamite', and really enjoyed it- it's what got me to check out their other songs. (Just as RM hoped it would-!) I don't understand the fuss either; I do like their Korean songs best, because I think they express themselves best in their own tongue, but I still enjoy their English songs very much! I was ecstatic, the other day while grocery-shopping, to hear 'Butter' playing on the store radio. And some other days, I've heard 'Left and Right' and 'My Universe'. LOVE it!
Now, I do have an issue with people who *only* listen to their English songs and ignore the rest, just as I have an issue with people who *only* listen to their Korean songs and ignore the English ones. I feel if someone is going to call themself an ARMY, they should at least give all the songs a chance. Rejecting music just because of the language it's in is not something a fan does.

Unpopular opinion: Spring Day is and always should be up to interpretation. I see many people try to explain it or “sell it” to non-ARMYs as a commemoration of the unfortunate tragedy in 2014. I’ve also seen non-fans directly associate the song with it. However, Namjoon has always maintained that when he wrote this song, it wasn’t necessarily about that. He has always encouraged people to treat the song however they needed to, and for a lot of people, Korean and non-Korean, it happened to be for the tragedy. That’s not a bad thing, but they should NOT go hand in hand. I’ve seen some fans make BTS synonymous with that tragic incident and that is incredibly disrespectful to the victims. Personally, I can see Spring Day having many interpretations with associations as heavy as mourning but also simply missing someone you care about, or something to listen to when you’re having a bad time.

    Some of my unpopular opinions:
    1. The members are releasing too much stuff while in the military. I love the stuff I'm grateful for the stuff but I'm starting to wonder how the hell they had the time to make it all before leaving. It's a bit like what you said about the EP releases -- it's just so fast paced. I truly would have been okay just waiting for them to get back without new album releases. Someone give these men a break! 😭
    2. I found Golden kind of disappointing. Don't get me wrong, Jungkook is incredibly talented as always and I feel like he definitely succeeded at what he wanted to do, it just wasn't for me. I thought it was a bit generic. BTS are my favorite artists because they bring something unique, genuine and personal to their work which I didn't see as much of in Golden. (In relation to that, it makes me sad that Jungkook is preforming so much better than other members on Spotify in terms of monthly listeners because it shows how hesitant general audiences are to step even slightly outside their comfort zone.) But Jungkook has a wide range of skills, so I'm hopeful that he'll make great projects that resonate more with me in the future. In the meantime I'll keep listening to the songs I DO like from Golden as well as his other singles.
    3. Speaking of Golden -- Jack Harlow's verse on 3D is gross. It's incredibly objectifying and makes me really uncomfortable. I don't think they should have approved it, because I don't like that Jungkook is associated with those lyrics now. (that was two in a row about Jungkook just because they're related, I hope it's clear that I'm not hating on him)
    4. Oh and speaking of objectification, some fans are way too comfortable doing that to the members. Yes, they are attractive. They do sexy choreography. It is normal and expected that fans are attracted to them. But if saying what you wanna say about a BTS member to a stranger on the street would be sexual harassment, it's sexual harassment to comment it on a live. Calm down. Remember that these are real living human beings who do not know you personally and keep your fantasies to more appropriate spaces.
    5. It's fine to not like everything BTS put out. It doesn't make someone a fake fan to think that some songs are skips. BTS have a very wide range and make music of many different genres with many different sounds and styles so it's not weird at all if some of those sounds don't appeal to every fan. As long as you don't unstan the moment you feel underwhelmed by a new release, I don't see the issue. Forcing yourself to like a song is unnecessary.

Unpopular opinion I think: To call yourself a bts army, you DO NOT need to know every single of their songs or know every feature of their body.
The reason I am saying this is because I was watching this BTS army do a BTS ARMY test..and some of the comments were saying things like "How come you don't know this? Are you really an Army?" or "That is obviously Jimin's tiny fingers..it is very obvious..all fans should know that"
LIKE SORRY? A BTS army in my opinion is just someone who likes their songs and love and respect all 7 of the boys...You don't HAVE to be a hardcore fan. -Yoongi is my bias but I don’t understand the hype behind his mint hair era. ARMY seem to go crazy over it and I’m just meh? I prefer him with darker, more natural color hair.
-I don’t fully agree with streaming culture. I understand supporting the guys but it just seems like a numbers game to me and less about the music. I have seen people play songs while the volume is completely turned down so they’re not even actively listening to the music. I think that’s a huge slap in the face to BTS!
-I don’t understand why some ARMY dislike BTS’s English music so much. Unfortunately, a lot of people are too lazy to listen to non-English music so it was necessary for BTS to release songs in English to reach a larger audience. It’s interesting because these same ARMY will claim that BTS aren’t getting as much recognition or appreciation from a Western audience. While they are far from their best music, the English songs helped broader their reach. The songs also were intended to boost people’s morale during a difficult time. It’s ok for music to just be fun and light hearted from time to time.

Agree with so much of this, especially the photo card comment. as an older army, I just give them to my friend's kids. I am in it for the music, talent, and performances. I believe photo card culture also pushes the boy band narrative, which we all know BTS is not a boy band. NOTE: I had never even heard of ending fairy before this video.
    My unpopular opinions are:
    1. I dislike the song The Planet
    2. Sea needs more love from Army. Nobody ever reacts to it and I think it is a masterpiece (I NEED a streaming version)
    3. I don't care about seeing the boys shirtless (I would say it is my age vs their age, but I have seen too many k-dramas where I didn't mind, lol)
    4. I think when the fandom focuses on their looks so much, it takes away from their artistry and makes it harder for male fans and critics to take their music seriously (I am not a male fan but I would love it if there were more male fans, and I think BTS would too)
    5. As a new army fan of a year and a half, fandom bickering in comments and solo stans trashing other members are a big turn-off for new fans
    6. I absolutely admire and respect RM in every way but I think he needs to not focus on victim thinking as much and get out of his head more, which he talked about in minimoni (but I am glad he finally let it out through his music--he doesn't have to be perfect. We will still admire and respect him if he just is himself, let the fear go RM!. Those who don't still love you aren't fans. You're president for a reason. (Although, until I have walked a day in his shoes, I have absolutely no room to talk and only mention it because it is clearly hurting him and holding him back.) I bet oldest child fans really get this though. My sister used to tell me that she always got in trouble when the rest of us did anything wrong and said our parents were really hard on her. I can't even imagine how difficult it is to be the BTS leader. Loved his new album, by the way. It is just hard seeing him hurting.
    7. Some fans put too much pressure on jimin to be too thin (again, too much focus on looks and not enough on talent) and it causes him stress
8.Fandom dwells too much on past grievances, yes, BTS went through, and are STILL going through, racism, xenophobia, jealousy, and everything else under the sun, and it sucks. Because they are so successful I even heard one reactor be biased against them for being the best and he assumed they came from the biggest company and had all the money and that groups like stray kids from the big 3 were the oppressed groups. I know, crazy, right? But if you focus on talent first and correcting misinformation in a positive non-whiney way with respect, it will reflect positively on BTS and come across better to newcomers than the biggest group complaining about past grievances when they now rule the world. (Even though they still get stomped on, which makes no sense, but victim mentality is never a good look.) When BTS talks about their hardships for the most part it doesn't come across as victims. It just sounds like the truth. When army talks about BTS hardships, it often comes across as victim mentality.
    9. Putting other groups down to elevate BTS's superiority is mean girl behavior. We all know that BTS is the best korean artists musically, and their range is incredible, which is why they are the best in the world. Constantly pointing that out and snubbing others is not what BTS stands for and comes across as insecure and petty. BTS can shine brightly all on their own without fandom bullies shoveing everyone else down and taking offense at the slightest thing while attacking everyone and everything, including each other.
Yep, these are some of my unpopular opinions. I don't intend to offend anyone, but that is how things often come across to newcomers. Feel free to disagree.
Army are a powerful force for good and lifted BTS to where they are. You can't separate one from the other, so understand that fandom behavior reflects directly on the boys to many outside the fandom. 70 percent of my experience has been great, but 30 percent of fans are toxic, and there is an unhealthy amount of negativity being thrown around that is a bit shocking.
Love yourself. Love others. Love BTS.

Your opinions are sooooo interesting they make me want to have a whole discussion with you. I def agree on the looks and shirtless part. Initially when I became an army it was a surprise for me cuz it wasn't that normal back then but then I just let it go because one they're adults, and two fans really need to focus on the music rather than talking about which part of the mv did Jungkook show his abs in. I mean sure the boys are very handsome and we gotta appreciate their beauty but sometimes the simp behavior gets out of hands with spams of shirtless shots or whatever. Love your stuff! My "unpopular opinions" are:
--You can be OT7 and love all the members, but still think some solo material is better than others--or a better way to say it is, have preferences for some styles over others. This does not make you a "hater" of anyone. And (this may really be unpopular) some members are better suited to be major solo stars than others--and as you addressed already Bora--some want that solo recognition much more than others. And that is OK. So when different projects don't all have similar sales and stream numbers, the members expect exactly that. They aren't competing. For example, I might guess that RM wants some commercial success so that he can continue experimenting, but he would much rather have critical acclaim than massive sales. (He has BTS for that...)
--The rapline don't get nearly enough credit as songwriters. The fact that they have a hand in almost every single BTS song--including the vocal line songs--and yet people aren't always talking about what amazing songwriters they are bothers me. Side note: I almost always thing songs written (or with significant input from) BTS members are better than the songs they use from other songwriters.

As for back up dancers, I don’t mind them but there’s nothing more impactful for me than watching our seven dance together to tell a cohesive story, and at the same time, observe their uniqueness.
I do, on the other hand, enjoy the trilogy albums. This is kinda new to me and I don’t follow any other k pop groups, so not sure how others do it. I also totally understand and agree with your opinion of it. Personally, I love the feeling of getting familiar with a set of songs, interpreting the lyrics and reflecting on them in both philosophical and personal perspectives. And then I love it that there’s a next edition of the trilogy where I can apply all of those reflections, expand on them, change my opinion, or go through the process all over again. I feel like it reinforces my understanding of the album each time but also allows me opportunities to go deeper into reflections. There’s a sense of freedom and excitement in that continuity.

My unpopular opinion is about our fandom in social media platforms. I've seen so many armys making tons of edits of their visuals ( which is not wrong), making sexual jokes and shipping the members sexually, doing fanwars, comparing BTS with other artists and idols, bragging other artists down, I'm so pissed off. I missed those old days when armys used to be so chill. I still watch some random old bts funny videos and read those old comments. Now the comment section is also rotten. Seems like i wouldn't get peace even in UA-cam. Now these days there are only two types of comments - BTS paved the way ( which they did but still) and who's in 2024. No one is appreciating or streaming their songs. The whole situation is out of control and things really need to be normal

  • @evianblue

    Another unpopular opinion:
I also think we should have more discourses surrounding the solo eras and how each of them is an actual artist with their own concepts and thoughts and the way they want their art ot be framed and perceived. I feel like the fandom puts too much focus on hyung vs maknae line albums or less or more streams for one member, but when people point that, it's almost like saying one is more talented than the other when in reality the 7 are different and each has a preference and say over their own art. It's pointless to compare 7 different concepts to one another to deduce which one is the better one. I have seen tweets of army guilt tripping other armys or going ballistic over one member having less streams than the other. I feel like it should be articulated in a way so as to say that the 7 of them need our support and we should stream as much as possible rather than highlighting how the fandom picks favorites and lets the others be shadowed. It takes attention away from art and music to something that's way more shallow and creates an overall negative atmosphere in the fandom.

    • @hof525
      @hof525 7 місяців тому +3

I also think this is a product of a mix of the general public, solo Stan’s, and passive army. And some army don’t want to acknowledge that because it’s something we can’t control. My sister is a good example of a passive army, we talk about the album and songs that have been released but I know she is pretty random with the bts songs she listens to. She isn’t paying attention to if she listens to one member more. Another sister isn’t into bts but has a jk song and a few bts songs she listens to. Bts as a group and the maknae line songs r more general public friendly and we don’t control that. I think the core/diehards of the fandom aren’t as big as people think it is. We have a lot of passive army and casual listeners that just pick and choose what they like and don’t think about streaming the whole album or mixing in the maknae line and hyung line.

    • @evianblue
      @evianblue 7 місяців тому +2

@@hof525 Yeah that's a very good point you make. A lot of the time it's also because there's such dirth of content that armys do try as much to give each solo its due streams/attention, but for other casual fans it becomes too much and also people got a lot of business in their lives. I guess what I want is for the army that is active in discourse and streams and bangtan twitter is to be a little more positive? And not fall into comparisons so as to put one member against another when clearly there are many factors involved with the overall perceiving of the albums. And I think it's about time we also take into consideration how each member's art is going to grow into the future. Like when I became army I wasn't into the rap line's mixtapes and around Hobipalooza I didn't know a lot of his hope world songs but slowly I warmed up to their style of music and rap and absolutely fell in love. Their older albums grew on me while their newer ones are in that process of growing on me. So yeah time's been going by so fast we really need to give ourselves some breathers and appreciate music like art rather than hyper-focusing on numbers and the general public's reaction.

Not that I think Indigo is a bad album by any means, in fact some of my favorite songs are on there like, Forg_etful, Change pt.2, and No.2, but I think rpwp is sonically more cohesive as an album as well as (I personally feel) flows better instrumentally than Indigo. It also has more songs I like on it lol. But I think what rpwp does best is show a side of RM that I didn't know I wanted to see, I guess the more alternative music genre side? It also shows a growth in mindset, becoming more confident in oneself, while also admitting that he feels lost on most days. I feel that there is little to no acknowledgement of the passive fans in the fandom. If you think that ARMY in large numbers buying albums, travelling to their concert cities or even countries, or even having Premium of Music Apps to boost their streaming (yes there are a lot and I commend them for that); there is an even larger audience of passive fans who can only afford to support through words of encouragement and streaming (some do not even have social media handles other than UA-cam).
I feel that those who can't tick boxes for all the members goals or just do not feel that the genre the member released is not their cup of tea or smtimes do not even listen to a song immediately after it's released are still ARMYs. Their trust and love for BTS shouldn't be placed with qualifications. It is okay to still be stuck listening to certain albums of an era they prefer and it is okay if they didn't listen to a certain release because of certain reasons or just simply having no interest.
The entire point of them growing as a group as well as going solo is them discovering their personal taste and grow as artists individually and together. Similarly, passive ARMYs grow their taste at their own pace so that shouldn't be shamed. As boracity magazine mentioned in one of her videos that the membership alone has a huge number, outside even more. So putting this pressure on those just entering or in active ARMY's words "being passive supporters" isn't going to help. Let the passive listeners grow just like how you active ARMYs once started. It's not criminal to "passively" support. Art is to be enjoyed and I believe that their beauty in the ARMY's eyes is visible evidently and the quote couldn't be truer. So let's all accommodate genuine fans from all walks of life. The passive fans are truly grateful for the efforts of the active fans as well. So let's continue forward by loving each other!

      @Jos_F 7 місяців тому +4

I completely agree with you! Rather than making a new comment, I wanna add that it is also a question of how different people have different ways of listening to music; and hereby my own personal account of such. Whenever I listen to music I enjoy and love, I like to indulge myself into the world the song/piece creates. In turn this drains my energy and I can only really listen for 1-2 hours before getting tired. Actually rather than tired, I think I would call it almost emotionally numb instead.
Furthermore, listening to a song more than a couple of times within the same day has always been.... boring and again, emotionally draining, to me...
This means streaming BTS's music hours and hours a day becomes such daunting task; it is no longer enjoyable. And as you say, art is to be enjoyed. Sometimes it leads to a sort of music listening burn out. The best example being Yet To Come. Within the first week of release I listened to the song something like 200 times (yes I was counting). When the week ended, months would pass before I was to listen to it again. This time because of a sort of implicit pressure that I HAD to stream the song. Everyone else were doing so, and I wanted to prove I was a real ARMY. After that I didn't listen to the song altogether. Actually, I got tired of listening to music in general, which I believe is quite a sad outcome, and overall leads to less streams if you want to see it that way.
Some people just don't listen to that much music and naturally becomes passive supporters (in terms of streaming that is) and I think that is okay.
If people really wanna talk numbers, at least let it be percentages. If 80% of the music you listened to was that of BTS's, even if the listening time was only 100 minutes, how would that not scream *ARMY ALERT - THERE'S AN ARMY IN SIGHT!* (in the good way).
Anyways. When that is said, I am infinitely grateful to, and admire the more active (streaming) ARMYs for all their efforts and the energy they put into supporting the boys.

But I haven't the budget to buy much, I haven't the time to vote much, and I psychologically can't stream or view much because I get so bored with hearing the songs over and over. Listening to music is supposed to be for enjoyment, not a chore, and though I do get the allure of breaking records, the fact that we're up against platforms that adamantly refuse to count fairly makes it seem rather pointless.
I've also never been much of a joiner; I've been in a few fandoms and know how they work, so I can say ARMY is a *much* more positive fandom than I had expected, especially for its size. (The bigger, the more toxic, usually.) That was a very pleasant surprise, and I appreciate what ARMYs can accomplish, but I don't feel a need or desire to be identified as 'ARMY'.
What I like to do as a BTS-fan is to find newcomers or people who have questions about BTS and K-pop and give them accurate information and recommendations. (I also do some selective reporting of people who are obnoxious.) And I do vote awards when I can, though the hoops one has to jump through in order to vote keep me rolling my eyes in exasperation. Most of them are so much more about promoting the venue/media than about actually honoring the singers.... and the way other fandoms constantly abandon their 'favorites' to throw votes at the selected 'BTS rival' is just awful. On the other hand, it does make me proud when ARMYs can out-vote 20-50 other fandoms. 💜

I don't think that these people who have money are more army than anyone else, in the sense of knowing more about them and their discography than those who don't buy merchandise or go to concerts, in fact, nowadays I feel much better about not to be this stan as a synonym for consumerist after borahaegas, where there were many comments about a large number of "armys" who simply paid a fortune to be there and barely know their most iconic songs apart from the trilogy in English, money is not synonymous diehard fan

Unpopular opinion for me: I think that as fans we need to know our place when it comes to the cooperate side of things. I dont understand a lot of the hate I've seen on HYBE and BH and Mr Bang. People assuming things. Assuming they know more than they actually do. Our input is obviously taken into account to some degree. We are the consumers.
That shouldn't be an excuse to be hateful and arrogant. Towards anyone. We only know the surface. The fact that BTS trusts HYBE and BH and Mr Bang should be enough to warrant at least our respect for their decisions. They are the ones in direct association with all of these people. They are intelligent enough to know what works for them. I'm not saying that we simply agree with everything because of the tannies. Not meant as an attack but Airplane (pt1) is a Hobi solo song off his first mixtape Hope World and entirely in Korean and Airplane pt2 is a group song originally in Korean that later got a MV for the japanese version. So do you really think its sounds off if you thought it was originally in japanese?

My thing is if they are singing or rapping there verse then it shouldn't pan to someone who isnt singing 🤷🏻‍♀️ there are fancams for a reason. And bighit does this alot especially with ther online performances. To me its annoying, esp during covid, when im enjoying Rm rapping or Jimin singing and it pans to V or jHope, like if its the chorus of the song then ok but when it's a member only part that annoys me. I liked the PTD visuals, too! The wardrobe reflected the American Southwest motif, and all of our guys looked great in their distinctive styles. I remembered BTS was accused of being too westernized a few years back, so they pulled out all the stops to fill the IDOL MV with Korean references. This time, they'd had 2 English language hits and the "too westernized" complaint was coming up again, so did someone in BigHit say, "We'll show you western!"? V's copper hair and red chili pepper outfit. SUGA's sandstone pink outfit, with silver hair to complement the silver conchos. Fringe, cowboy hats, jeans, cowboy boots. J-hope wore chaps! Even RM's hair reminds me of a yellow cactus flower, lol. Or it could be the one thing that screams, "K-pop music video!" among all the Southwest clothes, colors, props, and sun-drenched desert location. Yes, I'm a big fan of the PTD looks.

I have wayyyy too many unpopular opinions (i think some of these arent unpopular, but whatever)
    1. I don’t think Wings is their best album. I know a lot of people say it is, and don't get me wrong, I love the album, I just have trouble listening to all of it. I think Love Yourself: Answer flows a lot better, and I can see the distinct storyline.
    2. PTD is actually good. It’s hated on by everyone but it's the reason I looked more into BTS. I will not tolerate any PTD slander.
    3. Army as a fandom should start doubling down on shippers. I see it every once and a while, but they don't get called out enough. Shippers are more dangerous to the fandom, and the members' relationships with eachother, than solo stans.
    4. On the topic of solo stans, they suck. That’s basically it, I just wanted to take the time to put that out there. BUT. Solos can, in some twisted way, actually be helpful. Solo stans only support one member, so, this helps the numbers for that member grow. For example, Jimin has solo stans that will stream his work like crazy (see what i did there). This allows for the work to be seen by more people, ultimately reverting them back to BTS as a supergroup project, which grows the fandom.
    5. They need to upload the rest of the subtitles for Run BTS. It's been a year, and I'd rather not pirate the content. This doesnt really count, I just wanted to convey my i-army struggles.
    6. I wish that when they come back in 2025, they'll do more variety content outside of Run BTS. I loved watching the members do that stuff in solo promotions, and it would be 7 times the fun with all of them there.
    7. I don’t see the point in having hidden songs on albums. It feels unfair to those who aren’t in a financial situation where they can pay for these super expensive albums.

I just don't like how over the years the fandom just stopped caring about the message they show in their music and just care who gets on the charts.

hii, great video! just wanted to comment some of the things i disagree with or just have a different stance (not to bash you! like you said, differing opinions are ok!)
    1. i personally love when bts does trilogies, especially because bts never half-asses their albums, even if they are eps. im pretty sure most of their eps have at LEAST 7 songs, and they are all very cohesive, so i don't mind shorter albums if it means they will transition seamlessly to their next work. i think it is actually very interesting and fun
2.i dont care much for photocards either. the trend of buying multiple albums just to get photocards is so wasteful to me, but ofc everyone has their own budget and the right to spend as they please (not to be like those kpop commies on twt lmao)
    3. i love the am i wrong choreo! i think the fact that it doesn't make sense and is rather eclectic perfectly reflects the meaning of the song about how chaotic and messed up the world is. i especially love taehyung's part in the first pre-chorus; it is so visually satisfying!
    4. i did not appreciate their ptd looks all that much; im honestly one of the lamer armys who prefers them with dark / neutral colors, or blonde! i think they've all looked spectacular blonde / brunette / black. close second would be red / wine, especially jimin and yoongi during dope / idol respectively.

My unpopular opinion is that fan artists have way too much freedom. I have seen remarkable fanart, some of the best art I've ever seen, but I cannot engage with it in any way because it depicts the members in explicit situations, particularly sexual ones. Ship what you want, as long as you aren't being weirdly delusional and causing outside harm to the tannies, but drawing ships (you know exactly which ones) in explicit ways is disgusting and an enourmous invasion of privacy. What makes it worse is South Korea is an incredibly conservative country, anything being outwardly sexual is heavily frowned upon, not to mention the context of queerness being heavily scrutinized as well (also assuming a complete stranger's sexual identity is weird enough on it's own.) Too many artists are way too comfortable with drawing BTS explicitly, and I hope action is taken.

  • @fairlyfifi
    @fairlyfifi 7 місяців тому +25

1- to me the am i wrong choreo perfectly describes the song; the fun and chaotic dance is kind of a distraction to the lyrics and meaning of the song just like how the world gives us distraction to all the craziness that happens unnoticed, maybe it was intentional with the outfits as well.
2- Many say that out of all the english tracks, PTD was the most unnecessary and boring out of all, and i completely disagree, with the pandemic ending it was the perfect song to release and just like dynamite i felt it HAD to be in english for it to be enjoyed globally (sadly) but i love PTD.
3-i don’t like how majority of army always label namjoon as the “dad” of the group, it makes it seem that namjoon is ALWAYS the one that takes care of them. when we have seen time and time again that a lot of the times bts are the ones that take care of namjoon, even the maknae line. i, of course know this is all a joke and just fooling around but sometimes it can come off as cringey when i see any pic or video with minimoni it’s always labeled as “son and father” and to me it completely water downs how meaningful namjoon’s relationship with the maknae line 🫣
4- not really towards BTS but kind of an opinion towards army, but army nowadays have completely lost the plot of what it actually means to become one, because the way we have been so chart obsessed with bts music is kind of alarming, while i’m all for bts breaking records that they themselves have set up, but constantly saying we need to do better for bts’s solo music which turns into a competition between the members music and which album or singly has done better, then creates more problems and eventually make army’s turn into solos. i feel like this is the most controversial one cause it’s easy to misunderstand as me wanting bts to flop which is no way my goal. 😭 just hopefully i made sense with this one.

Oh I really have to agree with you in the full albums point! I feel like specially Namjoon feels more comfortable taking his time to come up with a storyline, a series of concepts and symbolisms that come back to a cohesive conclusion. Just compare how freeing he said it was creating RPWP as opposed to having to rush to give us YTC, FY and Run BTS (they’re amazing songs, but he literally said he felt pressured at the time he had to write them).
Imagine if we could get a massive, MOTS7 kind of project every 2 years? It’s be so much easier to bring new fans, and would give us the proper time to dissect, absorb and appreciate their work, like they deserve. Plus, there are countries that don’t consider albums with less than 10 songs as such, and thus we can never chart or break records there. And that makes it all the more hard to be nominated for year-end awards.
I wish we could learn to be more patient as ARMY, because I think that’s why they will probably stick to the short, faster format. I don’t think the reason is still the SK music industry, because BTS are well beyond having to compete with k-pop standards like “having to stay relevant”.

Hey Bora, I just wanted to mention how much I love your videos ~ one of the only channels I watch, I'm always checking for a new video of yours, and 95% of the time, I agree with what you say. Beyond that also, you've shown me that I should be proud of listening to BTS' music. I never liked admitting it because I disliked the association that gave me with kpop - the inauthenticity, the lack of meaning in songs and idols who aren't artists.
Here are some of my unpopular opinions (I'm actually not sure if they are, I don't really use social media 😅)
    1. Polar Night is the best song under the artist profile AGUST D, and a song worthy of Top 5 BTS songs. The lyrics, the beat and best of all, Yoongi's voice?!? Simply perfect. I love how he plays with the off-beat in this song, the almost-desperate sounding rap and the continuous rhythm/beat is somehow so comforting to me. It reminds me of the anger and pain that I sometimes feel, but so insanely soothing in a way that I cannot explain. I listen to it all the time, I always have it queued, and it has been my favourite song since it was released. Fun fact: When I first played it during a car drive, both my parents thought it was a German rap song (they're both german) because of the beat and rap style.
    2. Less well performed choreography (eg. missing some jumps, making the moves smaller) with live singing is better than perfectly executed choreography with only 50% of the song sung live. Might not be that unpopular of an opinion with the live vocals fans, but personally I find that live vocals bring way more energy to the stage than a well executed choreography. I don't mind if the choreo is messy or if the person singing barely does it (while the other members do), I just care about stable vocals that are audible above the track.
    3. Around the world in a day (feat. Moses Sumney) by RM (Right Place, Wrong Person) is RM's best collab yet. Smoke Sprite and Don't You Ever Say Love Me made my Top 10 last year, and Hectic, All Day, Still Life, Yun, Closer, Seoul, badbye, everythingoes, change, champion - remix, and Don't (all RM songs) are in my top 150 BTS songs of all time, but "Around the world in a day" is on another level. I think Moses Sumney is the PERFECT balance for this song, but oh my life, when RM starts his "Look around, jump around like I live that raw..." ... I AM SERIOUSLY LOST FOR WORDS. I cannot even express how much I like that rap, how much it expresses to me. I love the rhyme scheme, the meaning behind it, the slow(er) pace of it -- it all shows once again that a great rapper doesn't need to rap fast or need beat complexity, it is absolutely also the delivery and the impact they have. Right place, wrong person has changed my perception of good music, in a way I would've never expected. And this leads me to my 4th unpopular opinion:
    4. RM has the BEST collaborations overall. None of the other members come even CLOSE to the insane list of collabs he has (see all the RM collabs I mentioned under 3.). Yes, I started listening to BTS after Suga's Interlude (Halsey x Suga), I do love Mic Drop and Truth Untold with Steve Aoki, I have lots of love for Chicken Noodle Soup, Eight (Suga x IU) is also great, some other good ones are My Universe, Rush Hour (jhope), Snooze (agust d), Too Much (JK), wherever u r (V), lock/unlock, neuron and what if (j-hope)... but RM simply has too many great collabs.
    5. "Intro: The Most Beautiful Moments in Life" and "Intro: Boy Meets Evil" are the two best intros to exist in the BTS discography.
    6. "Don't Leave Me" is their best Japanese song.
    7. The "Blood, Sweat & Tears" MV should have more views than the "Idol" MV. BST remains one of the best MVs - the meaning, aesthetic, editing, shots, scenes, ... almost everything is done better in the BST MV. May be their best one of all time.
    8. Not liking BTS' entire discography is ok. I don't like everything that they've released over the years, there are some songs that I would always skip (yes they may be better than songs by some other artists, but I would not spend my time listening to them either). And that's ok. I dislike how people turn that
    9. I hate how BTS is associated with HYBE. I don't mind them being in that company, I don't mind them collabing with HYBE artists on songs or challenges, but I dislike what Armys, the general public and k-pop fans turn it into. It's almost as though they make BTS HYBE and HYBE BTS, when HYBE makes questionable choices, its a reason to hate BTS, when HYBE artists do something stupid, BTS is dragged into the conversation, and BTS' reputation suffers together with that of HYBE. It's so messed up and I don't get it.
    10. BTS' album "WINGS" is the best one to go jogging to, as long as you skip the slow songs when you are running up a steep hill. Listen to the slow songs when you are running down it.

I don't have many unpopular opinions, because it's very difficult for me to not like something. for example, many people hated PTD or found it generic, but for me, when this song came out I was so happy, many were happy in fact. I loved it when the dance challenges started, and for me every performance of the promotion at the time was magical and fun. Another thing is also that, for many, BTS's school era, i.e. '2 Cool 4 Skool' until 'SKool luv Affair' were albums that contained their best songs. In fact, from 2013 to 2018, people consider their songs to be much better and those from 2019 to date are "trash"... I don't think so. For me, each song has its purpose, and even if it's not in a vibe that I don't usually listen to, I'm not going to say the song is bad, I'm just going to say that it's not my favorite. For me, I loved the album 'Map of the Soul: 7' and it's my favorite album of theirs. Dynamite is one of the best of them, even though it's generic. I may be being a bit annoying with this one, but I will say... I honestly still don't understand this issue of commenting on guys' appearance, like their body, accessories or the objects they use. To me, it doesn't make any sense for people to constantly comment on what they loved about the members having, like: "I miss the younger Jungkook, he was more charismatic" or "I miss the body he had and the cuteness his"... that doesn't make sense to me. People want to remain stagnant in an image that is satisfactory to them, they don't even care about his life. These people liked it when he stopped using that accessory. and now there are people who even criticize their way of living, like being separated or whether they smoke or not... it doesn't make sense.

I already left one comment but I wanted to make a separate one for a different kind of opinion: I don't know how unpopular it actually is, but having a bias in BTS doesn't make you a solo stan. It is inevitable that you will connect more with one of the members, be it on the basis of their personality, their unique talents, their sense of humor, their musical sensibilities or whatever else.
Similarly, it is completely normal not to connect with some of the members' solo projects. For example, I love Jungkook and his voice, but I don't vibe with his taste in music, his preferences in artists he sees as inspiration and/or chooses to collaborate with, and I don't really like the sound of his solo stuff for the most part. In fact, even his solos on BTS albums are my least favorite. Meanwhile, literally everything Suga produces just works for me both sonically and thematically. As far as I'm concerned, Mr. Agust D never misses.

IKR!! I hate ot7s treating army with biases as toxic solo stans. I started staning BTS from late October 2022, I was ot7 for a long time, until I heard jimin singing angel pt 1. His voice was like an angel's voice--likre, everything about him was ETHERAL. That was the moment I feel in love with him. But that doesn't mean that I don't love and respect others. Trust me, If any kpopies disrespect BTS or any other members, my blood boils, also for the solo stans who put down a member to praise the other wether it jimin solo stans.
Coming to musical taste, I like songs with upbeat music, also with less beats and soothing voices. I like jimin, yoongi, jungkook, taehyung's music. Jin hasn't realised much but I don't like ballads, I like songs like super tuna. Rm has artisary songs with meaning, (so does suga but it's Rocky style) I find them relatable, mostly rm's groin. Jhope's are more of hip hop, I don't even know about that genre. But at the end of the day they all matter to me, equally. Lol, I almost forgot that I'm an ex army.

Unpopular Opinion: I really don’t give a fuck about voting and buying 10+ albums to get them charting 😭 I think back in the day (when their company was so small, they were getting shunned from traditional SK media because they weren’t in the big 3, etc) it totally made sense and now they’re where they are because of it. But now? Especially buying all the albums, all it’s doing is funding HYBE and giving them more reason to exploit the hell out of ARMYs.
I think BTS have so many achievements and have done so many monumental things. That now, I’m okay with us just chilling and enjoying what we’ve all created together in these 10+ years. Not everything is about them charting #1, winning every trophy in the world and selling out within x about of seconds. And you’re not a fake ARMY or unsupportive fan if you can’t participate in that either cause times are rough rn. Instead of streaming day and night until it hits a billion views, actually enjoy and appreciate the art they’re making. I’ve found if I actually like it and enjoy it I do that naturally regardless. Being apart of a fandom/being a fan doesn’t have to be a full time job and that shouldn’t be the expectation. The main reason for joining is because you love and are passionate about them.

i'm in the mood so here's my unpopular opinions and here's a warning, my opinions are hard to get by:
    1. I also don't care for photocards, i prefer posters. i'd trade all my photocards for posters in a heartbeat
    2. I don't think Black Swan is a top 3-5 BTS song like many people consider it to be, i tend to rank a great amount of the Japanese songs higher than Black Swan. So maybe Black Swan would be in the top 15-20
    3. I think Friends by V was underwhelming and it's my least favorite song by him :/ on the other hand i think Slow Dancing is exceptional, it's one of my favorites songs of all time
    4. Face Off is my least favorite song on FACE
    5. I would like to see a revamped brand identity for 2025 BTS because 1. they deserve a better creative graphic design team 2. it'll be the beginning of a new chapter for them
    6. For 2025-26 i want them to chill and take their time to make an album, i don't want nobody to rush them to do anything
    7. This'll be very controversial to say but i think People pt. 2 would've been better if the English chorus were easier to understand, more people would connect with the song. Chorus is a very important part of a song and i think the confusing chorus was a disadvantage
    8. I prefer the Jungkook's solo songs that he wrote a lot more than songs he didn't. In fact, i would sacrifice Golden entirely to keep Still With You, Love is Not Over and Your Eyes Tell warm
    9. No matter how much exols scream, i still think BTS got the best ballads in kpop. The only other groups that touched my heart with a ballad was TXT with "20cm", LOONA with "Fall Again" and Red Velvet with "Hear The Sea". But BTS are crazy, they never miss, no group got a mature ballad like "The Truth Untold" or glistening pure songs like "Crystal Snow" or the heart wrenching R&B "Tomorrow"
    10. I wanted to make 10 points but i can't think of anything else, just don't k-word me yall, this is just my opinion, i love BTS, i love all the members, have a good day mwah

I agree with you about 5.1. They need a better creative graphic design team. We are talking about bts here and bh has money. For example, the merch for festa was horrible and the merch for their solos wasn't that bad but some of them were lazy. And their posters as well, when they announce the tracklists or the festa schedule poster for instance. I just feel they have been lazy lately and need to hire a new team with more creative ideas. I'm right with you for #8. I get why he accepted the songs and sang them, and I wouldn't say they're bad- I like SNTU best of them. But I like the songs that came from his heart much better than the ones that seemed to focus..... lower down, you know? In the 80s, we called those 'lust songs', because that's what they are, and I got enough of them then that I am just not very interested now.
#3 I agree that Slow Dancing is a gorgeous song, the best on the album, but I do also like the poppy style of Friends.
My unpopular opinion in this field is that I do not like and won't listen to 'Film Out'. Not because it isn't a beautiful song, but because it is a grief song that takes me back to one of the most terrible and painful times in my life. I knew it was a sad song when I first heard it, but when I read the lyrics I was suddenly right then and there, and I just... no.

    -Who is your bias?
or when you show interest in being a BTS stan there is always someone telling you
    - Great start by choosing your favorite member!

I like the mesage that it feels more on line with his own work and lyrics style, it is more meaningful than "Seven" and it was his first solo work outside of BTS during chapter two. Even the impact of "Dreamers" that made a lot of non soccer fans watch FIFA's world cup is undeniable.
Just the mesage alone I think encapsulate better his own journey to stardom and philosophy of live, "Dreamers" is a perfect fit and the collaboration gives the song a magical touch that, for me, at least "Seven" lacks.

His sound in the vocal focused songs, ‘Come Back to Me’ and ‘Heaven,’ were nice but they don’t compare to his vocals in songs like ‘seoul,’ idk, maybe I’m tripping, but he sounded like he was straining his voice and using his whole SOUL to get those notes out. 😂 But again, I still adored the album 💜🫰🏾

He said it somewhat resembles a maze and that often times he feels like he’s losing his own identity due to his anxiety and the crumbling pressure he’s put through everyday. He said that when he released Indigo he felt like the feelings and emotions he’d been holding in were still lingering, so he released RPWP to releasing these feelings and emotions that had been suffocating him. Opinion:
j-hope's new logo for HOTS was awesome! I actually ordered merch because I wanted to wear that logo specifically, but MANTIS made them change it. 🤦‍♀️
    Unpopular opinion:
Again, talking about merch, we are TONS of adult ARMYs and most of us don't like sparkling, pastel colors, full-on-cuteness childlike merch, we've always wanted something like MONOCHROME and like Artist-made collection. We are happy that the members are growing and we are hoping the design of their merch reflects them as adults too. Solo albums merch was great too, not too cutesy, not so much purple, and with many wearable items without anyone's face on it. So, teen ARMYs, let us have our stoic, simple but elegant colorless merch too, alright?

    • @Dani.Torres
      @Dani.Torres 7 місяців тому

@@Ambika20137 the logo the used for HOTS albums with a J and H merged in one, that was j-hope’s new logo.
But mantis protested that that logo didn’t represent j-hope and made the company change it to a simple “j-hope” design.
So once again Hobi solos are not liking something Hobi decided to release. In summary, the solos don’t like Hobi’s marketing style and complain a lot about it, so much that they signed petitions to make them change.

My opinion is people should stop asking them to do cute actions forcefully, they have grown up and to think about it they too might find it unsettling. Also some ARMY's on weverse seriously needs to think before commenting or writing posts , i know it's all love for the boys but please keep in mind what you are writing and the last one is not really unpopular because all of us ( ARMY's) want the boy's personal life to be kept separate from professional.

I honestly don’t agree with the acting cute thing in some regard- I do agree with that people shouldn’t be forceful about it- but the members are more than capable of saying no if they’re uncomfortable and they often do. There was an incident in 2018 where an MC at an awards show asked for Jin and Tae to do fan service by kissing each other on the cheek, and Jin immediately said no, repeated it, declined again when told that it’s what the fans wanted, I think he even phrased it as “why should I do things just because others want me to” and then kissed the trophy instead and demanded applause, all while making it a big fun joke. He can say no freely and will, him adding the cute challenges to festa was either directly his idea or something he approved of.
Not all the members feel the same about doing Aegyo, some are happy to do it and will do it unprompted, others will do it on occasion and for others it’s something they’re not particularly comfortable with and so they rarely do- unless there’s snacks in the line because that is SERIOUS business for Bangtan.
It’s basically the same way some members are okay with showing skin and do so comfortably, others will do it on occasion when they feel like it and others just don’t and will decline it. We can trust BTS to maintain their boundaries on these things.
But yeah you’re definitely right about Weverse Armys need FAAARRR better brain to keyboard filter.

Idk if its an unpopular opinions but I would want bts to have a full BTS album where its just ot7 and no solos cause I feel like they're having less of that in their "recent" BTS album plus the rapline and vocal line gets their own song
And if they don't get solos at least give us more SUBUNITS
I need me some [on the album]

I agree. And I'm a bit scared because RM said they are considering doing subunit songs when they come back from the military. Don't get me wrong I love solo and subunits songs too, but when it's OT7 it's magical.

I'm talking about BTS' album, like YNWA, MOTS and LY: ANSWER, each have solos in it, while I understand each of them is necessary on the album, I'm just saying I would want a full album where it's just ot7 or at least a SUBUNITS like D&W

I think my views of this unpopular opinion might have changed in recent years because of all the solo work the boys have been releasing but, I think that we need more ot7 songs on the albums. Don't get me wrong I like the solo songs that were on "Map of the Soul: 7", and "Wings", and the "Love Yourself" trilogy etc., but sometimes I wish they would focus on making more songs together or in subunits. I also think we need more songs from a different mix of the members than just a song with all the vocal line and then another with just the rap line. I love "ddaeng", "UGH" and all the cyphers. I also love "The Truth Untold", "Dimple", and "Zero O'Clock." But when I listened to songs like "Friends", "Jamis Vu", and "Respect." I was internally screaming because they carried a whole new vibe to them. Like I wanna hear Hobi and Tae on a song together. Just the two of them. Or maybe Yoongi and Jin. Just a thought. 🤷‍♀

That's a great idea. Jamais Vu is one of my favorite songs. Jhope and V did a cover for the song Hug Me and it was really good. Features with other artists are great, but I would love to hear songs with different members too.

Jamais Vu is so pretty to be honest, I love the subunit songs, 4 o'clock is so pretty and calm, 00:00 is a masterpiece indeed.
JHope and V had two songs together tho, Hug Me (cover) and A Brand New Day (ft. Zara Larson).
Jin and Yoongi, Jhope and Jimin, RM and Jimin, Jungkook and Yoongi,Jhope and Jin, V and JK, V and Yoongi is something I would really want.

Mine (I dont know if its unpopular or not):
    1. It's okay that music of vocal line are more popular and have more streams than rap line. The music is pop so it's popular mostly to general oublic. Hiphop/rap is more specific genre.
    2. We ARMY should support newer releases first rather than older release just to make records. We can do both, but know the priority.
    3. I prefer songs composed and written by members a lot. I feel the connection from them. So, Golden and Layover are honestly my least fav albums in ch 2.
    4. We can listen whatever we want to support BTS. Goals are fine but enjoying music still is the most important.
