Polyphia is one of those bands that makes your brain pause the first time you hear them. Check out the song Yas which features the guitarists from another instrumental band called Chon. Great video man! 👍
This is the reaction I had first time hearing them. My new friends that I went to The H Mack concert with introduced me yo this band when I started talking about Steve Vai and the child prodigy I call a friend, Yasi Hofer.
Actually you did listen to something from them before: They made the guitar arrangments on BabyMetal's song "Brand New Day"! And they also played the guitars on the studio version of the song :)
They’ve dropped a new song, neurotica, with a full band play through and Tim’s acoustic play through. You may really enjoy some of tims solo play throughs for playing god and neurotica, to watch him just play in one take and see everything he does is absolutely brilliant.
What's interesting to me is that while G.O.A.T. is certainly iconic for Polyphia, it's not even the best track off that album which IMO is probably O.D. followed by Nasty and THEN maybe G.O.A.T. and YAS.
Everyone has their own theory as to what GOAT stands for..the one I like the best is, Go On And Try because it’s one of those riffs that for the past 4 years EVERYONE learns. Tim Henson is widely considered to be one of the top guitarists of our age. Can’t wait to see your reaction to Playing God!❤️🔥
@@deejayturtle ❤️😂Sometimes we are telepathic! I was going to tell you about this when I called you later! Came out on your birthday, and I know you’ll love it! (Btw got you a present didn’t forget, give it to you when I see you 6/19)
ive learned this and let me tell you the harmonics are easy but the tapping and speed is a nightmare. You should get into math rock its actually insane the stuff they do on guitar. check out Ichika Nito hell blow your mind
@Sebs Duran Hey! I'd appreciate it if you could check out the song "Castaway Angels" by the band, Leprous. It's more about the vocal performance than some sick display of guitar skills, but they're a very creative, progressive rock band and I'd love to see your reaction to what they do :)
Damn dude. You said you've been playing guitar your whole life but just learning songs? Man SAAAAAME, this theory journey is HARD bro ngl. If you haven't already, I recommend checking out Tim Hensons (lead guitarist) solo in Jared Dines "Biggest Collab in the World lll". The way he stands out is really surprising.

Animals as Leaders is a must for anyone who appreciates guitar.
Finally a Polyphia reaction! GOAT - Greatest Of All Times. Welcome to a new rabbit hole.
“I feel like there’s about to be a breakdown. Not because I’ve seen this video 5 times, but because I just feel it” 👌

...I was in mid sip of my coffee on the "that's what she said". Almost got me, lol

There’s no theory. GOAT stands for Greatest Of All Time.
I just left a comment of how I first heard this band. And here you are in the comments.

They are zoomers, so they use zoomer language. It just simply means Greatest Of All Time.
Kid can work the frets.

I think a lot of people, myself included, got to know them through their collaboration with BABYMETAL.
It was shocking, wasn't it?

Poly-fia. 😂😂😂
What the H?!
A tiny amount of preliminary research would have helped you re: the pronunciation of the band's name, and what G.O.A.T. means.
