"Summarize your career", Maestro Mehta looked at him like "Boy, are you crazy". He has what could be called 4 or 5 careers wrapped in one lifetime. Still and will always be one my favorite conductors and human beings.
Such an emotional🥺 interview. A great conductor! A great musician! He earned his spot in the list of ‘Greats’ and now he’s retiring. It must be very difficult for him to live without the IPO as he has spent 50 years with them. 👏👏👏 Happy retirement, Zubin Mehta! Regards from 🇮🇳
Maestro Mehta, you are my hero! You are the music and the intellect and the knowledge! This is not your last concert, your concerts will forever be in our hearts!
Blessed to have followed Mehta's career from my own teenage on when he was a student in Vienna. Lucky to have heard the IPO and the TSO (Toronto) under him.
If you didn't already know, both Freddie Mercury and Zubin Mehta are spun from the same fabric of a very beautiful group of people from India, known as Parsis, originally from Persia (today's Iran!). Another hint: Tata...
I had the wonderful privilege of seeing him conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic when I was living on the West Coast and he was just fantastic. He made what I consider to be the ultimate recording of Gustaf Holst's the planets with the LA philharmonic. To this day I don't think anyone has made a better recording.
@medici.tv your subtitle is seriously off. At 1:16 Mehta speaks about his concert at Masada (an historic archeological site in Israel) and not Masala (a spice mix used in south Asia) as you incorrectly edited. 🙉🙉🙉🙉
Shame on you London Philharmonic Orchestra, for comletely ignoring the greatest ever "NA BHUTO NA BHVISHYATI" Lata Mangeshkar's demise More shameful of Zubin Mehata for complete silence.Western music world is really a waste?
Remus Grama he’s not even a musician himself, he’s a news commentator in a popular TV station in Israel. I think the reason he got to interview Mehta is because he sometimes hosts some casual concerts at the orchestra.

what an amazing and inspirational intelligent musician , enjoy a long and well desrved retirement maestro

The interviewer is a little off
RIP Zubin Mehta
what?
Those last lines are reminiscent of the Earl of Grantham advising Lady Mary that he/they are simply the caretakers of the estate.

so many stupid questions
דרך צלחה ובריאות בתקוה לשמוע קונצרטים בניצח שלך
The stupid interviewer should be fired immediately! "Summarize you career".....how in the name of all that's holy did he get to interview the Maestro?
