In this video, Adam goes over the most important shallowing lesson you will ever watch on youtube. Adam emphasizes the importance of a proper backswing sequence in order to shallow the swing. You have half a second in the downswing and using manipulations will make your swing worse. By building a proper hand path, set position and turn to the top, you'll be shallowing the club in no time!

People are obsessed with shallowing the club, but they don't realize that happens naturally with the proper backswing! Great stuff 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Adam I'm amazed at your ability to find new ways to relate your proven swing principals to fit each individual! As much as I've loved your other videos, this one finally helped me stop raising hands/arms past the set point and use REAL rotation to stay centered and avoid getting stuck.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and for all the time and energy your Team puts into editing and uploading lessons. You guys deserve SO many more subs!!

Shot my best round of golf yesterday. A solid 86. I played my first round of golf a little before last Christmas, so roughly 3 1/2 months(I’ve had a lot of off time from work so I would go so far as to say I’ve played 6 months worth in 3) . Only in the past 3 weeks or so has it started to click for me. During this 3 weeks I’ve had great bogey/par rounds of golf ruined by blown up holes where I get 4 or 5 over for a hole once or twice. Yesterday I played the same way but had no blown up holes, 2 birds helped and a couple of lucky par putts. Don’t even wanna think where my swing would be without Adam. Big thanks for sure and a lot of love from hawaii!!

I think your approach of simplicity and guidance is the best in the game and youtube. it seems easier to shallow and maintain compression in the club with a wedge or lower number irons. how does it change when you get to the 6 iron or 5 iron and you are dealing with the extra club length?

7:30 He still stands up a little at impact (that’s what I do and want to improve) but a lot less than before. I get really caught up (confused) with the ‘sit-down, transfer weight to left leg, pivot around the left leg that many instructors teach… I can’t seem to do that yet. No matter what I do, I seem to have the amateur swing look, facing the ball at impact, straight right arm, no shaft lean, no hip rotation… all arm and stand up action… I’ve been playing around 20 years and got to a 10 hcp but am now more like 18-20…
A question: when at address, where is our weight? In the toes? The heels? In between?

Hi Porzac Golf. Personally once in my ideal bent golf posture all I do to rotate my lead side the ball and socket joint of my lead arm hand 1/4 turn towards my right trail side allowing the rest of my body to follow. This spirals my body down to the ground as my club spiral upwards.
Then to start my downswing in sequence I use my trail little finger immediately followed by my trail middle two fingers followed by my index ( trigger finger) to spiral my club down to strike through my ball. Because of the speed and momentum of the head of my club it spirals my body upward and litter is then wrapped around the back of my neck at the end of my swing
The the individuel shoulder socket acts as thé base of a cone with a limited circular Range Of Motion of approximately 20 degrees that can turn their arm in a full 360 degree circle. When a golfer holds the the grip of the club in both hands in front of them with relax forearms and oily wrist they can literally turn the club around then

I enjoy what you do. I have an instructor but you do the intense detail that he does not. My only question is when you turn, most are saying screw that trail foot into the ground, but you seem to be saying just turn, we don't want that lateral move, it's trail toe, then heel, then lead toe, then heel. My biggest issue is getting on the front foot

Hi P. G. Have you ever taught: The Spiral Golf Swing? It is based on the Fibonacci Spirals found in nature and golf itself
I think this video would fit in perfectly for an introduction to it.
Along with your new video on how to the start the downswing with the little trail finger; immediately followed by the trail two middle fingers followed by the trail index ( trigger finger) would fit into it perfectly.
So I hope to see a continuation videos all based on The Spiral Golf Swing.
    Why?
Because at my age of reason 75; I know it works.
I think Cooper Osborn Golf was the first to casually introduce it. But never explained fully how to execute it. And I now see hints of it by others currently around You Tube. Cheers 👍😃⛳️🥂❤️

Here is the number 1 profound swing thought that no one in the world teaches.
Simply apply consistent pressure in the middle of your grip with the pinky of your trail hand as you swing your club back and forth. Focus just on this and become instantly amazed at yourself; and you won’t know if you are swinging the club or the club is swing you. It works for a number of good reasons I could write a book about. But I won’t as the Tittle: Swing The Club With The Trail Hand Pinky; says it all
    Cheers. 👍😃⛳️🥂

@@PorzakGolf could I have a link to it? I would love to compare notes. Cheers👍🥂😊 for example it works perfectly with my trail waggle.
As I do my trail waggle, the grip of my club now guides my body to the finish of my swing.
Also to start the backswing oily wrist are required along with the flexing of the trail arm done by the left hand and arm turning 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Cheers

To me the hardest thing about shallowing is that my brain has no idea how to deliver the club to the ball from an on plane position. It’s easy to get on plane, I can put the club on plane at the top of the backswing all day, but without fail, I will steepen the shaft, and then early extend and slide to shallow late, because that is the only way my brain knows how to get the club head to the ball. I feel like this is what gets lost in shallowing instruction. Getting shallow is easy. Hitting from a shallow position is not. I’ve started to get the hang of it a little by doing slow downswings in front of the mirror the feel how I can put speed into the club while keeping it on plane all the way to the ball.

Hey there! By having a sequence backswing, it will allow the club to naturally shallow without manipulation.

    • @Tigersmundo
      @Tigersmundo Рік тому +1

*The correct way to transition to the proper spot is to set the setup in front of your sternum. This will allow for proper rotation down from the top, which is the swallowing effect. This technique is intuitive, dynamic, and powerful once the correct spot is achieved.*
