I should mention for those that don’t know this young man has excelled since the former NBA player Aaron brooks got injured for the year a few weeks ago. Since then Melo has stepped up, ran the team and definitely made them a more dangerous proposition. Also note his 2 best games (since brooks has been out too) have been against Scott Machado who played a very small amount of NBA and a heap through the best leagues in Europe.

NBA is political too like most top leagues. You got have a name and if you don't you got to know someone to get an opportunity.
NBL is a very strong league but the reality is we probably only have 1 or 2 young guys that will have legitimate chance at playing in the NBA in the future. For now at least, there is plenty with small amounts of NBA experience though. Some of the best athletes in the world in the NBA, so it ain’t easy.

The adjustment Lonzo did with his shooting motion proves the probable same procedure will occur with Lamelo once he is at this point. His passing, understand for situations are rapidly accelerating while he needs to focus on maybe a less interesting aspect , his defense : his wingspan and size on the 1-2 position allow him to be a two way player.
