The sweet part is,I'm now hunting and fishing with my 2 grandsons and my grand daughter. I understand hunting regulations but I would almost feel like its not even a hunt when you've got planes flying over watching you and you already know if you harvest something it'll be reported to the authorities so they can come check everything with a fine tooth comb looking for a reason to write a ticket.
They do this so illegally taken animals do not go to waste, an auction is a smart way to increase revenue for illegally confiscated animals, most city police departments do this with drug dealer vehicles. Do not hate nor discriminate, this is legally funded revenue from poached and illegally taken animals. Proper conservation is required to have a responsible hunter base. Sorry but your hated statement shows your probably a poacher or just hate Leo

Made it a whopping 12 min in. This should a great detourant video for anyone wanting to DIY a hunt here. I generally enjoy seeing the technique they use to "catch" people but this was too much for me. Had to shut it off after they said "Hunters voted to outlaw the use of trail cams during hunting season". Haha.

I think we need to realize that what we see in this show is NOT the typical warden daily operations. They have to find more "exciting" or "business" interactions to try and make the show more exciting. I have hunted and fished most my life in the western US. I have never had a negative interaction with any wardens. Only one time was I a little frustrated because a warden pulled up in a motor boat right through a really productive fishing spot; where he "probably" could have beached the boat and walked around to us to check our licenses. Other than that, nothing but respect for what they do. When as a hunter/fisher I make sure I am following the laws, hunting and fishing is super fun and enjoyable. Wardens IMO only help to ensure it stays that way.
Most of the game wardens love hunting yet they act like they have a vendetta out against all the hunters and fishermen. Yeah they have a job to do but how many warnings do you see them giving versus tickets? I don't want to be that guy? Sorry not sorry. So pedantic it’s painful to watch. The guy had a legal camera up that only turned illegal that day, due to the season starting. Perfect chance for a quick chat and a warning, instead of an immediate fine and confiscation. Hobby sheriffs hopped up on their own ego.
I'll bet things would have gone differently if he had taken down the camera before climbing into his stand. The wardens would have arrived, seen the camera was removed and it would have been a non issue. By leaving the camera up while he was hunting, it looks like he has no intention to comply with the law.
A few years back a warden posed as a hunter to set up an illegally guided hunt. They printed a fake tag hired the guy. The warden shot what would be the state record. Went to trial and the guide was acquitted, not sure what happened to the ram…

It makes no difference. The pen test has nothing to do with if you’re able to follow the pen. Your eyes make an involuntary twitching movement when you’re intoxicated. That’s what they’re looking for.

I had Friends in the DNR, did fund raising benefits for them, Bought them bullet proof vest & mounted decoy deer. I called him and ask him to do something, he called me back and told me, He was Told, Quote, Keep your nose out of it, It's personal! Don't think it's not a Good ol Boys Club! Never should LE officers with a Vigilantly justice mentality be able to wear a Badge because They're Thugs! Piss one off, deny him what he wants or report a rouge officer, see what happens!

Also antlers can be used for all sorts of projects from knives to grips of all sorts. Buying antlers from someone else’s “kill” when it was poached is different than someone who has actual sentimental value to a personal hunt/experience.
Exactly what I was thinking: I'd buy cheap for something like an antler handle on a knife, or horn carving, but hanging it as is strikes me as about as tacky as calling up the local trophy shop and ordering yourself a first place cup for the Boston Marathon.

Every legally taken ram gets one so if anyone comes across one with out it they they will know it was poached or acquired illegally. They have since changed the rules on picking up dead sheep heads, but you still have to have it plugged.

People get retarded in Montana, especially tourists. The mountains, and especially Yellowstone is basically a managed chaos.
