Jess, I love the idea of recycling Cosplay. You’re so right and how excess waste there is. Like you could easily recycle it or even give it to somebody else and have them use it. I even like the idea of giving it to somebody else more. Because that means the costume will be continuing its journey. Especially after you put all that hard work time and effort into it to wear it a few times when you know that other people can probably wanna wear it as well. It’s such a great idea.

Being someone who used to Cosplay in the past, i love recycling outfits. Sharing resources and giving away for someone else to use is really generous and something that should be done more often. I had to toss out/give away my old cosplay outfits due to money, and past trauma. But, seeing all these are giving me happy memories and makes me consider wanting to cosplay again. This was a great unboxing video. Cant wait to see more content in the future

I love that you are trying to make the community more eco friendly because I'm currently working on an Aloy Nora Brave cosplay and I've managed to source a great deal of the fabrics for it from charity (thrift) shops! Which not only brings the cost of the project down, but also reuses existing items and gives them a new life!

The gun and the helmet from 11:16 further are from Anthem, if you ever gonna give up on those I would love to buy them or something. Anthem has special place in my heart, I loved when Benni and Svetlata made the costume and helmet prop. I always wanted to make them too, but cosplay as a hobby has been in sidelines for me sadly already for a while.

Oh man. I used to cosplay and now do ren fairs as a vendor and I felt that in my soul. I've given away most of my cosplay props and costumes just to not throw stuff away. And I work so hard to use all the fabric. And ship scraps to be recycled. It's so difficult and I admire you.

When I was young and first becoming a writer, I would use my artistic skills to draw things that I would then write about. It was a cycle of creativity. I still do that to some extent, but a lot of things are in that chain of creativity, now. Jess, I am glad you made that work. Everything you do is work and it's also your joy and we love you for it. had the opportunity to meet jessica in San Francisco and San Jose over several years at conventions. one of the nicest and kindest people I met (let me chill with her and other cosplayers. Was a fan of her cosplay and she inspired me to get into cosplay photography since her photos always looked amazing (and I can't craft for crap, but learned how to camera).
the silver shoulder armor made me think of the zora (totk brainrot) but this is so awesome!! i really hope cosplayers start doing more sharing and recycling.

Awesome video and HUGE agree on the sharing of cosplays. Me and like 4-5 of my closest cosplay friends just kinda.. share all our wardrobes, so every costume gets used a lot and we dont all need to buy the same cosplay (our tastes align a lot haha so it would be such a shame to buy say, a Mirko cosplay 4-5 times instead of just sharing!!) Saves money, time AND its fun + good for the planet :D Also I fucking love the crafting videos and cant wait for the next one~
So I typed in Cosplay and this was at the top of the list, it's something I've gained an interest in after being with my girlfriend for the past 2 years. I was always kind of put off. But I'll be honest everyone I've met seems pretty cool. I'm 38 and by no means a "nerd or super knowledgeable" but I've realised I dropped alot of fun interests and hobbies and I'm rediscovering them again from my younger days.
might be interesting to see a Colonial Marines cosplay from Aliens. both in the film and the game that came out last year, there's all kinds of design options that you could integrate and make your own
Miss these videos a lot :) I don't do cosplay, but got really into making the iron man gauntlets when the third movie came out, I even studied and learnt most of the different suits which was a lot of fun.

When I was young and first becoming a writer, I would use my artistic skills to draw things that I would then write about. It was a cycle of creativity. I still do that to some extent, but a lot of things are in that chain of creativity, now. Jess, I am glad you made that work. Everything you do is work and it's also your joy and we love you for it. You're the best. You did not become a-a... wahoor :P You just found a way to become your art and make your dreams come true with it. I feel privileged that I came to know of you through your nerdiness and conventions many years ago (not so many, you're still a beautiful young woman!) before I found out you're a glorious internet celebrity. To Benni and Sveti of kamui, good on ya for up-cycling to Jess! You guys do so much for the community. Good luck with your move. I look forward to your work at the next Blizzcon. had the opportunity to meet jessica in San Francisco and San Jose over several years at conventions. one of the nicest and kindest people I met (let me chill with her and other cosplayers. Was a fan of her cosplay and she inspired me to get into cosplay photography since her photos always looked amazing (and I can't craft for crap, but learned how to camera).
the silver shoulder armor made me think of the zora (totk brainrot) but this is so awesome!! i really hope cosplayers start doing more sharing and recycling.
I love you so much, Jess! I do not have any ideas for a recycle of what was shown, but I would LOVE to see you recycle some of your stuff to make a Shazam Unicorn...
I went to Comic con at my home town of Indianapolis IN.
I gotta tell ya, The stands, the booths, the cosplayers, WHEW!!!!! I'm sorry. My mind, body & heart are so trembling with excitement & anticipation.
I can't wait to go there again Next May 2024

I love this so much. I remember Svetlana saying in a video at some point she would never give her costumes away so the fact that she gave them to you is such an honour. Also you are epic and I love your view on recycling in the cosplay community. I love your crafting videos, please keep making them!

I agree with the crafting process!! It’s so frustrating sometimes! But it’s so worth it in the end!!
Awesome video and HUGE agree on the sharing of cosplays. Me and like 4-5 of my closest cosplay friends just kinda.. share all our wardrobes, so every costume gets used a lot and we dont all need to buy the same cosplay (our tastes align a lot haha so it would be such a shame to buy say, a Mirko cosplay 4-5 times instead of just sharing!!) Saves money, time AND its fun + good for the planet :D

So I typed in Cosplay and this was at the top of the list, it's something I've gained an interest in after being with my girlfriend for the past 2 years. I was always kind of put off. But I'll be honest everyone I've met seems pretty cool. I'm 38 and by no means a "nerd or super knowledgeable" but I've realised I dropped alot of fun interests and hobbies and I'm rediscovering them again from my younger days.

might be interesting to see a Colonial Marines cosplay from Aliens. both in the film and the game that came out last year, there's all kinds of design options that you could integrate and make your own
Miss these videos a lot :) I don't do cosplay, but got really into making the iron man gauntlets when the third movie came out, I even studied and learnt most of the different suits which was a lot of fun.
