LYRICS
I am your nightmares, true scares
That dream when you can't stop from falling
Can't fight, can't run
Can't stop the person you've become
I am your heartbreaks, mistakes
That place inside your hate
I am that shadow following every move, reminding you
That it's never good enough, never good enough
Even though you'll try and try
I'm gonna call your bluff
Because I am the thing bringing the feelings when...
Your world comes crashing around you
Smashes down around you
When will you see that you cannot hide from me?
When you feel darkness, hopeless
Can't cope with all the stress
I'll make you hate life bring strife
Remember failures hardened stare
And it's never gonna change, never gonna change
Always they'll be judging you
Compared to who and who
You trust in me but I only live to see
Your world come crashing around you
Smash down around you
When will you see that you cannot hide from me?
When I come for you
When I see through you
When I eat through you
When I destroy you
You'll think you're betrayed, astray
I'll leave you ripped and torn so bad you
Can't trust, can't love
Can't understand why life's so fucked
I'm deep inside your mind
In constant remind
If you leave your thoughts to me, believe
I'll make sure that I see
Your world come crashing around you
Smash down around you
When will you see that you cannot hide from me?
I'll make your world come crashing around you
Smash down around you
I'll let you see why cannot hide from me
Because I am you
This one is still in my playlist. Totally underrated song. I never understood the hate for this album.
Supercharger, what a such underated album.
Totally agree amen to that
wrong
Supercharger, what a shit album👍
@@burialofficial8913 your opinion, what a fucking shit 😁
No
Nu metal....the music, the style....I'm in love with it all and always have been 💪
they created a crossover style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was so much feeling put into this album. It brings back many good memories. Thank you Roadrunner for keeping these older videos up.
it's hard to believe that this is the same band that released burn my eyes
Shut up
Does that mean you think this song is better or worse?
@@Screwston-ci7fc to me it’s not a bad thing. It’s just that both records have completely unique sound and themes, it sounds like it could be two separate bands. But I love all of their music, supercharger has a lot of really catchy hooks that I love singing along to, and burn my eyes is a great headbanger to go nuts with. It’s nice to have different styles for different moods. I’m happy they didn’t release another BME type record, it makes BME special for what it is
I don't quite understand how people hate this ONLY because it is Nu-metal, when it's good and kicks ass...
burrekatt I love nu-metal but imo, machine head tried way too hard with it.
@@peterklemm8196 opinions may vary, i believe they did a absolute kickass job at going the Nu Metal route. Nu Metal with that Machine Head twist is one of a kind.
Flynn’s silhouette, arms up, bandanna on, in front of the fire may be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in music.
Masterpiece 🔥🤘🏽
Been a fan since 94' and I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed with the mighty MH. The Supercharger album is solid, some great tracks like 'Only the names' 'Trephination, Bulldozer, Deafening silence, Kick you when you're down and this song. Yes it's different to the first couple, but so what? It still rocks and every MH album is different, that's a good thing IMO.
they all fucking rule. MACHINE FUCKIN HEAD!
Almost agree with you, MH never dissapoint!
@@joeparkinson1237 what about the last one?
Happy 15th Birthday to the Supercharger album!
happy birthday
This is one of my favorite Machine Head songs hands down. Dunno why people don't like this album. One of the catchiest choruses I've ever heard.
This is video is the one of the main reasons, I want MTV back...
Lol
Funny enough mtv banned it lol. Not that they probably would have played it much anyway except maybe late at night
@@andywilliammockzek Why did they ban it?
@@dvda9725 because they thought that the images of burning cites was too depressing of what happened on 9/11 back in 2001 as the video for this came out right before the attacks. Almost all radio stations took the song out of there Playlist as well. So Pretty much with this song getting buried plan's for a follow up single(which I think was going to be deafening silence of which the video would have been dedicated to the victims of that day) never happened, they were dropped by roadrunner, supercharger ended up being there lowest selling album, and machine head Almost broke up due to everything Pretty much going to shit
How is this, AT LEAST, not over 10,000 likes?
This song is so badass. Why is it not on every radio station?
The whole album is fire 🔥
iam a huge machine head fan, and as wimpy as the burning red and supercharger were compared to the rest of their music, i must say that these two albums have a lot more emotion in the lyrics, and i like them because of that, call me crazy
Grown up on this shit!
Shit still there though
Agreed, I love all their material
Thank Johnathan Davis (or more specifically Ross Robinson) for single handedly influencing "over emotive agonized sing/screaming" in nu metal (he loved the sound of agonized vocals)
@@WalyB01 well when you have a single band influence (Korn) have a piss mist lingering over the course of two albums
I still can relate to these songs, man where are the good old days?
This song is so powerful.
I listen to this everyday.
This was the first MH song I heard and I was immediately obsessed. Then I heard their older stuff and about 15 years later, they are still my favorite group.
:)
Jamie Landuyt good joke
I think this was mine too, was only just getting into rock and metal and flipped over to Scuzz (a British music channel devoted to rock and metal) and this was playing.
Epic Powerful Voices & Masterpiece Songs Forever Guyz.
That bass tone...
This video makes the song look like a masterpiece.
Fucking classic. I think Supercharger is a sneak peek of what comes later, a new era for Machine Head. This album combines nu metal vibe of the 90' and progressive sound like on the TTAOE, so that's why it awesome.
Luckily, that wasn't the case, went old school, and fucking love it!!
This song has one of the darkest lyrics i've ever heard, but in a weird way, makes me feel understood by someone else
I had a very bad childhood at the late 90's, early 2000's but miss those kick ass nu metal days.
Machine Head cannot make two albums that sound the same, it is both their best quality and their worst quality.
The Sickness they only had one album in their last 4 that had the 8 min songs with 2 min solos. The Blackening. Through the ashes was not like that. Neither was locusts ( the closest) or B&D was not that way at all either. Their first 2 would be the closest in comparison.
@IceCat7 True, but Blackening is more progressive, while Locust is more groovy.
The Blackening is their thrashiest album
Lol why on Earth would you want two albums that sound the same. I never understood why people can't accept change in bands.
@@tfm2934 Yeah why would you want 2 good albums when you could have one good album and one bad album, duh.
my fav Machine Head song
one of the greatest songs ever made
Still Have All Album CD's, T-Shirt & Hat Too.Worth Buying.
can't stop listening this song. it's one of my favourites for a very long time. #headsonthemachine
Robb Flynn looks like that guy from steel panther in this video
Ahahhaha, a little bit :)
Lol... That made me chuckle!
I am just glad they got back to being heavy
he looks like an "edgier" Bruce Springsteen
I remember seeing this video around 9/11, awkward to say the least
You can definitely hear Jonathan Davis in his voice when he sings never good enough never good enough. Sounds like it was ripped right out of a Korn song.
Dont care that they got shit for this era!!! Love this album!!
Not gonna lie, his hair here is top notch 👌🏻
+Yumebito lol are you being sarcastic?
Rob, dressed like Rambo, doing his best Korn impression. Ah, heady days.
Nope!!..\ROBB FUCKEN RULES/!!!😈😈🔥🔥..FOREVER \MACHINE-HEAD/!!!
Remember watching this as a angry Teen over and over on my roadrunner record dvd 😁 still a Great song today!
There'll always be haters but this is a great song from a good album by an amazing band.
This isn't so bad. It kinda grew on me.
exactly
HAI am your....
had no Idea that machine head had an actual nu metal trend following phase.
The shit that come after this was SOOOOOOOOOOO much better
whats crazy about this song is the music video came out on 911 and since it has fire next to the buildings in the back ground it banned form MTV.
Blood Saint - 3 weeks later...
Just like Slayer's album, also like the film Falling Down on 2/26/93, the date of the WTC truck bombing.
Burn My Eyes, hands down their best.
Ok well lets admit if done correctly with out being corny and stupid, Nu Metal can have a kick ass sound! Who else agrees?
:)
2lazy 2think
Thank you lol
+Young Snake try out papa roach or limp bizkit...pretty good nu metal
+Young Snake yeah but Robb just couldnt do it. Coal chamber, korn etc are great back in the 90's
***** I'm talking about that horrible nu metal phase that their new guitarist at the time talked him into doing
Years ago Robb Flynn gave me a cup of beer and his plectrum after a gig in Munich. I lost the plec on our way home at a gas station and I'm still sorry about it. One of the best concerts I've ever been.
You can tell it's out of the ordinary because Robb doesn't completely look like a caveman
Only 73000 views ? should've been 7.3 million so far
My name will say why I'm here
machine head and fear factory tried nu metal. it worked cuz that was the trend back in the late 90s early 2000s. they both still around too lol
Listening to this while remember the time in high school.
I'm an Iranian, I've been a metal head since I was 8 and now I'm 31(I still have the VHS thing) , yes I grew up and had a dream watching MAIDENS live and it's not a dream any more cause they played in Turkey and I was lucky enough to see them, but believe me guys you have never ever felt what I feel today, still all the cells in my body crave for Maidens, long live maidens, long live the MACHINES,
Love this song, the 'Hellalive' version is even better with Robb's spoken intro (the fact I was at Brixton that night makes it even better for me though!).
who gives two shits about the video? the song SLAYS man.
always will remember the first time i heard this song live-bungee jumping on a festival.
Revisiting this song after so many years ❤
This album and song was actually supposed to been released on 9-11-2001 or 9-12 on Tuesday but it got held back a month
Die hard head case. Rob Flynn produced my bands 2nd demo out of the Bay Area in 94 right before burn my eyes dropped. Still have the MH demo on cassette. Good times \m/
Getting serious Tommy Lee vibes and that ain’t a bad thing AT ALL ✊🏿🤘🏾🖕🏻🖤🤍🤎
One of the most underrated heavy metal and nu-metal artist band name the Machine Head in the early era decades in 90s-2000s since before it was Korn,Limp Bizkit,Mushroomhead,Staind,Defrones,Rage against the Machine,Static-X,Slipknot,and more than else.I am a fan of nu-metal band whatever they have a different music genre or subgenre of it and I love the old school rock metal music like heavy metal, thrash metal,nu-metal after it was metalcore, death metal or anything metal else could be.Well maybe the Machine Head could be my on top list of the best heavy metal and hard rock in the early era 90s-2000s decade and it could be underrated band like the others of the best.
dude.... sepultura did way before with roots
You're funny mate. Half of that list became big before or at the same time that Machine Head started. It was the Burning Red and Supercharger albums, their later releases, that were more underrated. I don't mind any of that since I love the whole list you mentioned. It's all different flavors of awesome stuff that we don't see in the charts anymore these days.
@@tfm2934 yeah dude,I glad agreed with that.
thank god for phil. when he joined the band they strated back on the right path to metal greatness.
You say this is garbage yet your here listening to the garbage and commenting back and ranting like your a badass. You love this music and you fuckin know it.
THIS IS FANTASTIC
everibody opinion deserve respect and i think that is the most mainstream song of machine head, and i like machine head too
no man worst machine head song ever is a Deafening Silence
Rob that song is so powerful to me thank you so much.
First heard this song off the Fast and Furious soundtrack from the first movie. Still like it. lol
greeeattttt
Man I love the fact Robb Flyyn looks like some kind of Emo Rambo in this video, just out to draw first blood from his own demons.
also they've been such an easy band to hate for over 20 years people need to get over it. I love both Burning Red and Supercharger, totally unique albums in the MH discography.
I love this song!!!! Machine head rocks!!!
Lol, Machine Head back in the day.
i can't believe that this amazing metal shit have only 43,291 views O.o
Machine Head - Crashing Around You
I LOVE THIS CD N THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
Yeaaaah!! Love that song !!!
EPIC!!!
I wish this song was longer cause i really like it!
honestly though, the burning red and supercharger were still pretty solid. ahaha
Still a fantastic track even if you don’t vibe with the whole album there’s always at least one banger on them
Its like Machine Head then and now are two different bands...I love them both!!!
2021🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥Roadrage 2002
awesome tune
This was not meant to be a Thrash album it was meant to be their sell out album. They succeeded nicely.
supercharger may not be their best album....but i still love this song
i like this band
Best music from MH
Awesome song, Great Video, still playing it in 2018....
Awesome. Hail Machine Head.
Metal is metal, even if it's not you're favorite genre we should ackowledge that not all of us love death growls or the cleaner vocals, we shouldn't bitch at eachother we shouldn't bash on anyone thats not metal ! Metal is a brother hood for the misfits and the unwanted and those who don't feel they belong
This needs more views
There were times when Fast & Furious had good songs
The Blackening was epic in my opinion. Back to their roots, and they fucking turned up the heaviness by a fuckload bro.
most greatest singin ever !
Don't see why people hate this song so much, machine head were experimenting.. Found out that it wasn't them and came back to some of the most metal albums in history..
mtv would never play machine head. this song is epic. and that movie was awesome
I like both sides of machine head personally, Nu metal is generally good or alright with me and i like some of their harder stuff too.
I remember this single coming out just a couple of days 9/11 and immediately being banned from every network because of the word "crashing"... Paranoia was incredible those days.
That was so stupid lol, but a precursor to modern times.
Absolutely right mate! :D
Songs badass!
I think the music video is f*cking awesome... Because I can see where he's going with it.
I realy like this song i reaqly like all the song they made
they look so cool in here
