- Shehzad Poonawalla is a well-known face of the BJP on TV debates, with fiery puns and takes on the Congress. His debates often go viral on social media. Aditi Singh is a BJP MLA from Raebareli Sadar, the bastion of Sonia Gandhi, which now stands vacated as the former Congress president has moved to the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.
In the latest edition of the ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Aditi and Shehzad get candid and share why they switched to the BJP from the Congress, and whether anyone from the Gandhi family tried to stop them. Furthermore, both talk extensively about the functioning of Congress and the BJP, and how internal democracy works.
Without mincing words, Shehzad takes on the Congress, stating that everyone caters to 'one parivar' in Congress and the party never gives chances to grassroots workers. Instead, it chooses people who are and were close to the Gandhi-Nehru Family.
Aditi Singh also makes a sensational claim that Rahul Gandhi was aloof to the situation of the U.P when she was a Congress MLA. Aditi cites Congress' 'anti-Hindu' stance as one of the reasons to quit the party. She also claimed that the Congress high command only shows up in Amethi and Rai Bareli at the time of elections and doesn't want to hit the ground.
Shehzad also answers the most sought-after question: why the ruling BJP doesn't have a single Muslim MP. Both of them also discuss their future prospects in politics.

Excellent interview and discourse with Aditi & Shehzad. Both came out as intelligent, articulate and sensitive people. May God bless them so that they can serve the Nation for a longtime. Nothing new came out about the sycophantic culture in Congress , in fact it was further cemented with some insider incidents narrated by both Aditi & Shehzad. In simple words Congress is a Kingdom headed by incompetent Royals while BJP is a democracy where meritocracy prevails. Listening to Aditi Singh and Shehnaz Poonawala it took me back to my time working for 24 Janpath in the media cell i was offered a position to work directly under Rahul and Priyanka at 10 Janpath..This was early 2000's ..i flatly refused because even back then i considered them entitled spoilt brats. Best decision ever !!

Fantastic episode. I would say Hemanta Ji, Shehzad Poonawalla, Aditi Singh, and many others were the gems of the Congress party. However, it's unfortunate that their talents weren't fully recognized. If Congress had given them free rein and truly believed in their capabilities, they could have achieved great things. It's a real loss for the Congress. They would be promising leaders for the BJP, should it choose to support them. While they may not hold degrees from Oxford, they certainly speak with sense.

Another great talk. I prefer these sessions to the popular folks that are interviewed more. It gives us a chance to see ground level work of BJP Youth leaders. I would prefer Aditi Singh, as she is local & well connected to the people there, since she is MLA from Raebarelli Sadar. I would prefer Nupur to contest from New Delhi.
@@sachinmesta4238 Yeah, makes perfect sense. I hope Nupur does well. She put in the work right from student days and was a bold, articulate spokesperson. She faced the wrath of the Supreme Court judges so unfairly. She got death threats too. She deserves to make it big not only for being so talented, but for surviving all this. If Priyanka contests in Rae Bareilly, Nupur should be the one who takes her on, I feel.
Aditi is so cool.
But, though a local, she might not be enough to take on Priyanka.
Nupur on the other hand, took on the world. And stood up to such a challenge. When even the BJP leadership tactically had to abandon her temporarily. This brave lady deserves a chance to take on the big fight and make it big.
Or, like you say, she could one day make it on her home turf in Delhi and go on an upward trajectory from there and be the CM one day, perhaps?
I'm eagerly waiting to see if the BJP is going to field Nupur in 2014 and from where. She will go far.
Aditi is cool and all, but J can't see her going really far as of now except if she puts in the work and say, beats Priyanka at Rae Bareilly. May be she is up to it; let's see.

Nupur has been a student leader since she was in university. What happened with her is very unfortunate. She read the Hadith which is well known, but we have seen how the judiciary is unable to fair in some cases. We know that LKFC amplified & dog whistled for the jihadis to give calls of k1lling her. Nupur definitely deserves way better for being sincere soldier of BJP & Bharat.
Abt Raebarelli, in last election, Sonia had won by margin of about 1L votes which is quite less than the earlier margins of 5L votes. BJP has a good network of workers on the ground, surely leaders like Aditi being from the same area are an asset. Thus any BJP leader will get the benefit. Even though Priyanka rarely goes to Raebarelli she might want to put herself as Local & Nupur as an outsider, but this might not be a case with Aditi as she is local, her family has worked there since her grandfather, hence excellent ground presence & having good connect with people. Even many of the Congress voters might be be tempted to vote for Aditi who is a local kid, she can approach voters as local kid, asking uncles & aunties to vote for her, but Nupur might not have this advantage. Further Aditi has been there since ages, people might be knowing her since she was a kid. I think Nupur should do well from New Delhi as she has an excellent following in Delhi since she was a student leader.
Every leader wants to reach the top position even if they deny it, for Aditi, since she is from UP, her road to chair of PM & CM are quite distant (Modi & Yogi) so as per me, she can be a good Minister at Cabinet level at Centre, thats the growth I can see for her. On the other hand, BJP in Delhi does not have the stalwarts of yesteryears like Sahib Singh Verma etc, Nupur at most can be minister in Centre (but BJP might avoid it) but she can definitely can be the CM of Delhi, its her local turf & she knows that the state requires.
Ghandys are mere shadows of what they were, INC is just short of being a regional party. When a party becomes big, it has problem of fragmentation unless the party policies are clear & the leaders follow the party policy. INC was destroyed by the Ghandys of course its leaders who allowed it expecting that people will keep voting in name of "sacrifices of family" is stupid. I guess Bharat has paid for this sacrifices with their blood, no more.
So, Aditi from Raebarelli with her path to being a top minister at Centre.
Nupur from New Delhi as MLA & future CM of Delhi or MP to be minister at Centre. just my view.
Such great personalities : Smitaji Aditiji and Shehjadji apart from everything else,admit to their human insecurities and also the ways to alleviate them is a great learning to an ordinary mortal that I am.The honesty is so evident, and the realization that all three : the host and the participitants are great. Shehzad Poonawalla is such a breath of fresh air in the Indian Politics. And also on the human level, he comes off so genuine. It's not easy to accept your insecurities on a national platform, but he does that. And also, sacrificing his personal goals for the nation is truly not an easy fit. He has become my inspiration for sure after this podcast.

A candidate of LS election 2024 from basirhat( sandeshkhali) is made by PM himself. She was tortured by sheikh sajahan clan member Shibu hazra.Her husband is a daily labourer who works in different states specially south. She herself was doing little jobs in fisheries n rice field. Their income is max 10000/ a month if her husband got some work. They live in a hut made of cane. She met PM as shubhendu adhikary followers brought victims of sandeshkhali with some other victims just to tell horror stories of that place.Her name is Rekha Patra. PM called her yesterday n talked to her for 10/15 minutes, only Modi n BJP can do it., 🇮🇳🚩
