And the setup was a janky, old table that was higher than my shoulders, a bad and uncomfortable chair and a cheap Chinese mouse and optical switches keyboard. i wish i had a 144hz monitor or a 240hz one. i play with a sixty hertz one and it is horrible. Sometimes you can tell the opponent killed you because he has a better monitor/hertz than you. Sometimes because of the hertz you can't reach your limit where you can give the best of yourself and compete professionally. Reaction doesn't matter in CS2. Your shot will depend on the exact frame even if the frame was rendered too late. All your mouse movements have no effect on aim between frame rendering. Position of your crosshair will be always on current frame and it can exist only on rendered frames (you can't point a position between frames). Real theoretical position in moment of shooting is ignored. In CS:GO your shoot will depend on the next frame (it's more logical as for me).

Refresh rate is how many times a second your monitor refreshes, not how many frames it can display. a 240hz monitor has a delay between each frame of around 4ms, a 60hz monitor around 16ms, 144hz around 6.8ms, so if you are on a budget definetely the most value for money is 144hz or 165hz because the reduction of delay from 60hz to 144hz is around 10ms, while from 144hz to 240hz only 2.8ms
