But let me tell you, I got a shiver going down my spine when you mentioned your near-death experience in Mexico! Someone threatened you with a machete?! Did I hear that right?!

I hope you've managed to heal and find your peace!
Thank you very much for enjoying the beauty that I see. Yes I was bombarded from behind by a masked man w/a machete in the middle of the mountains in Mexico. That incident took some time to recover back my courage but in unexpected ways I was blessed w/the lessons of uncertainty in life. In those few seconds the only things that mattered were to see my loved ones again so for that I’m grateful I can recognize my priorities in life in clarity❤️
@@NomadSunBae Wow, that was a bit extreme for a travel experience! I'm glad that you managed to escape (unscathed, I hope) from such a nasty individual! Much care is needed when traveling through countries where there's a high probability of finding outlaws, misfits, and people with very dubious moral values -- but, of course, you must know that already...
On a different note, I hope you had the chance to visit the other islands of the Azores archipelago; and also Madeira, and the Portuguese mainland.
@@miguelcoelho3877 yes I made some videos on pico island as well as the mainland. Portugal was great! Very beautiful, calm, peaceful part of the world and kind people.

what was the near death experience?
I had a masked man pull a machete on me in the middle of no where mountains of Mexico the previous year before Pico when I was hiking alone.

@@NomadSunBae Did he injury you or did you get away? I've been mugged at gun point several times and it ain't fun!
@@thespiritworldband I froze but slid him my bag from my shoulders then he ran off. My body unlocked and I started to run but not fast enough. He could of raped or killed me, nobody was in sight for miles. Just traumatic but I’ve recovered since, more aware of my surrounding now
